Rammstein Spiel mit mir lyric with English translation

Wir teilen Zimmer und das Bett
Brüderlein komm und sei so nett
Brüderlein komm fass mich an
rutsch ganz dicht an mich heran

Vater Mutter Kind

Dem Brüderlein schmerzt die Hand
er dreht sich wieder an die Wand
der Bruder hilft mir dann und wann
damit ich schlafen kann

Spiel ein Spiel
mit mir
gib mir deine Hand und
spiel mit mir
ein Spiel
spiel mit mir
ein Spiel
spiel mit mir
weil wir alleine sind
spiel mit mir
ein Spiel
Vater Mutter Kind
We share a room and bed
brother dear, come and be so kind
brother dear, come touch me
slide closely to me

In front of the bed, a black hole
and every sheep falls inside
I am already too old, yet still count them
because I cannot sleep

Under the navel, in the branches
a white dream is already waiting
brother dear, come hold tightly
and shake the leaves from the tree for me

Play a game with me
give me your hand and
play with me
a game
play with me
a game
play with me
because we are alone
play with me
a game
father, mother, child

Dear brother's hand hurts
he turns to the wall again
the brother helps me now and then
so that I can sleep

Play a game
with me
give me your hand and
play with me
a game
play with me
a game
play with me
because we are alone
play with me
a game
father, mother, child

The song is about incest between two siblings. Till has said that “There is no such thing as the perfect family”, which is emphasized in the end of the chorus.

The song when played live differs from the album version, as keyboardist Christian Lorenz transposes the keyboards two octaves higher than usual in the last chorus.

  1. I still think this involves siblings of opposite sex, it makes more sense when you consider Till’s “girly” voice in the beginning.

  2. This song is very disturbing. But all in all, its still a great song.I wish I didn’t know what it mean’t

      • Dawnatilla you are completely right! Yes it does happen day in & day out for many people. Society tends either cover it up or just plainly ignore the issue all together.
And yes , you are right. It is about two BROTHERS!!! I don’t understand either where everyone is getting from this song that it is a sister and brother. There is nothing in this song that eludes to a sister being involved. My take on the part that says “Later Mutter Kind” is pointing to there is incest going on within the immediate family.
Dawnatilla is correct about that spree is white; where as when a female gets “wet” it is clear; but if it is white coming from said female, she more than likely has a yeast infection. I am a woman and am very grateful that I have never had one in my life.

  3. It makes a lot more sense to me that it’s a sister-brother kind of thing. Most prominently:
    ‘Dem Brüderlein schmerzt die Hand’
Your hand can cramp up if you manually pleasure a girl; not very likely while doing the same to a guy.
    My 2 cents

Also I think Vater Mutter Kind is a game where you pretend to be parents doing grown-up stuff?

  4. Clarification: “white dream [that] already waits” referring to feminine lubrication beading up on the pubic hair… it seemed to make sense to me at the time.

  5. Under the umbilicus in the branches
    waiting a white dream
    Brother, come hold you tight
and I shake the leaves from the tree

    Unterm Nabel im Geäst
    wartet schon ein weißer Traum
    Brüderlein komm halt dich fest
und schüttel mir das Laub vom Baum
    (thats the correct translation!!!)

  6. Charismatic Enigma: i would think that the “white dream” and “already waits” is refers to his sperm and his boner.

  7. @Charismatic Enigma, i feelt like it was a girl who “sang” the song too, but the last line of the third verse says – schüttel mir das Laub vom Baum. more likly to be a boy?
still like the song, best song on the album after “alter mann”

  8. The “in the branches” line obviously refers to pubic hair, but I always thought that “the white dream” that “already waits” made it seem like the speaker was a girl.

  9. This is my favourite Rammstein song, but because I don’t speak german I can never know if this translation is correct, my grandma is german and his halarious when I showed her this song! xD
