Too big, too small? Too big, too small?
Size does matter, after all Size does matter, after all
Zu groß, zu klein? Too big, too small?
Er könnte etwas größer sein It could be a little bigger

Mercedes-Benz und Autobahn Mercedes-Benz and motorway
Alleine in das Ausland fahren Going abroad alone
Reise, Reise! Fahrvergnügen Travel, Travel! Driving pleasure
Ich will nur Spaß, mich nicht verlieben I just want fun, not to fall in love

Just a little bit… Just a little bit…
Just a little, bitch! Just a little, bitch!

You’ve got a pussy You’ve got a pussy
I have a dick, ah. I have a dick, ah.
So what’s the problem? So what’s the problem?
Let’s do it quick! Let’s do it quick!

So take me now, before it’s too late So take me now, before it’s too late
Life’s too short, so I can’t wait Life’s too short, so I can’t wait
Take me now! Oh, don’t you see? Take me now! Oh, don’t you see?
I can’t get laid in Germany… I can’t get laid in Germany…

Too short, too tall? Too short, too tall?
Doesn’t matter, one size fits all Doesn’t matter, one size fits all
Zu groß, zu klein? Too big, too small?
Der Schlagbaum sollte oben sein The tagline should be on top

Schönes Fräulein, Lust auf mehr Beautiful Miss, desire for more
Blitzkrieg mit dem Fleischgewehr Blitzkrieg with the meat gun
Schnaps im Kopf, du holde Braut Schnapps in the head, you Fair Bride
Steck Bratwurst in dein Sauerkraut Put Bratwurst in your Sauerkraut

Just a little bit… Just a little bit…
Be my little bitch! Be my little bitch!

You’ve got a pussy You’ve got a pussy
I have a dick, ah I have a dick, ah
So what’s the problem? So what’s the problem?
Let’s do it quick! Let’s do it quick!

So take me now, before it’s too late So take me now, before it’s too late
Life’s too short, so I can’t wait Life’s too short, so I can’t wait
Take me now! Oh, don’t you see? Take me now! Oh, don’t you see?
I can’t get laid in Germany… I can’t get laid in Germany…

Germany! Germany! Germany! Germany!

You’ve got a pussy You’ve got a pussy
I have a dick, ah I have a dick, ah
So what’s the problem? So what’s the problem?
Let’s do it quick! Let’s do it quick!

You’ve got a pussy You’ve got a pussy
I have a dick, ah I have a dick, ah
So what’s the problem? So what’s the problem?
Let’s do it quick! Let’s do it quick!

  1. “Mich nicht verlieben” is actually means “Don’t fall in love with me”. Schlagbaum is incorrect too.

  2. This song is deliciously mocking. Sometimes it’s the most straight-forward songs that end up being the most clever. The horribly cheesy innuendo, the blunt lyrics–it’s like they wrote an ode to all the crappy and borderline pathetic attempts people use just to get laid. I can’t help but laugh whenever I hear it.

The tune is quite catchy as well. And as for the video, well, I found it equally hilarious. It’s just so blatant–how can one not laugh?

  3. Less subtle and not so smart version of Bloodhound gang’s Foxtrot Uniform Charlie Kilo. The word “Pussy” sounds dumb to an english speaking person. Great sound though – but using porn to sell the song is crass. This the only song on the album I don’t like.

  4. I believe the “dick” “dickah” controversy is pretty easily solved. I’m sure Till meant to sing it exactly that way, so it could have both meanings. Rammstein is, after all, known for their clever wordplays.

  5. Reise means a trip, a journey.

Autobahn just means highway or speedway. as a word it refers to any highway, while as a name it generally refers specifically to those of Germany

  6. Isn’s “reise” mean “rise” and autobahn talking bout just the autobahn in germany and not just motorway?

  7. To someone who said earlier that they had to see their psychologist RE: the video, they used body doubles. I do think though that they are just provoking for the hell of it. There are some metaphors and similiies used in the lyrics, but this song is overall much more shallow than most of their other stuff.

  8. This song has a great melody, but I just hate it when Till sings in English. His voice is just perfect for the German sounds.
I don’t know if they tried to express some criticism (can’t get laid in Germany? I don’t really get it), but the clip is just a little too provocative for my taste.

  9. It’s not steck Bratwurst in DAS Sauerkraut, but DEIN Sauerkraut. Anyway, thank you for your translations and comments

  10. Peter, thanks for your input. I have changed it so it means barrier. I personally think it fits better since he’s talking about the Autobahn and all that. Thank you.

  11. Your translation of schlagbaum is wrong.
Schlagbaum is a barrier that prevents cars from crossing the rail road when a train is coming. you can check google for pictures.
der Schlagbaum sollte oben sein! means that the (movable) barrier is up in the air?(cars can pass trough again), synonym for an erection.

    Enjoy

  12. Sauerkraut is not a sauce or dip but it’s a type of cabbage that is traditionally served with a bratwurst. But great job on the translation, german is a difficult language to translate imo.
