OVERKILL bassist D.D. Verni, in a recent interview, shared an update on the progress of new material for the band’s upcoming album.
He detailed the current demoing process:
“We’re actively working on demos right now. We have about 9-10 songs that I sent to Blitz not too long ago. Usually, all the music is done for the demos first, and then it goes to him. He works on it for a while and returns with what he’s come up with, and then we review everything together. So Blitz just got everything from me recently.”
Regarding the release date for the new album, Verni stated with confidence:
“I think it will be next year, I’m pretty sure of it. But when exactly? Spring? Fall? Something like that. But in 2026, you can absolutely expect a new OVERKILL album!”
