Warmes Wasser Warm water
Schöne Leiber Beautiful bodies
Wie sie glänzen How they shine
In der Sonne In the sun
Ich schleich mich an I sneak up
Und rede fein And speak well
Wer *** will Whoever wants to ***
Muss freundlich sein Must be friendly

Liebe ist für alle da There is love for everyone
Liebe ist für alle da There is love for everyone
Liebe ist für alle da There is love for everyone

Ich mach die Augen zu I close my eyes
Dann seh ich sie Then I see her
Ich sperr sie ein in meine Fantasie I lock her up in my imagination
Ich mach die Augen zu I close my eyes
Sie wehrt sich nicht She doesn’t defend herself
Liebe ist für alle da – nicht für mich There is love for everyone – not for me

Warmes Wasser Warm water
Schöne Leiber Beautiful bodies
Nicht für mich Not for me
Es läuft davon It’s running away
Feinste Formen Fine curves
Gut gebaut Good build
Voller Mund Full mouth
So braune Haut Such brown skin

Liebe ist für alle da There is love for everyone
Liebe ist für alle da There is love for everyone
Die Liebe ist für alle da – auch für mich There is love for everyone – and for me

Ich mach die Augen zu I close my eyes
Wir sind allein We are alone
Ich halt sie fest I’m holding her tightly
Und keiner sieht sie weinen And no one sees her crying
Sie macht die Augen zu She closes her eyes
Sie wehrt sich nicht She doesn’t defend herself
Liebe ist für alle da – auch für mich There is love for everyone – and for me

Liebe ist für alle da There is love for everyone
Die Liebe ist für alle da There is love for everyone
Liebe ist für alle da – auch für mich There is love for everyone – and for me

This song is about a person who is so lonely and love-deprived that he feels the need to be loved by any means necessary. The person sees a beautiful girl and wants her to love him, so he *** her. He thinks that will make her love him and now he can have love too.

It can also be about a couple that is already in a relationship or married. And the man (husband) in the relationship isn’t feeling his partner (wife) is doing her part in the relationship after all he has done when it comes to loving him as much as he loves her. So rather then cheating on her, he wants to remain faithful to his feelings and commitment to her, despite her now not loving him anymore physically making him feel cheated.

This song feels almost like a continuation of Feuer and Wasser, but it also recalls some of the same feelings as Du Reichst So Gut. Although Du Reichst doesn’t mention water directly, it does say that he touches her “wet skin”.

Another similarity between the two songs is how he tells the woman in Du Reischt not to resist and in Leibe is Fur Alle, he talks about how she doesn’t resist, even though she’s apparently crying, so whatever is happening is not something that she wants.

The water theme is all through out Feuer and Wasser as is the singer’s apparent feelings of rejection and inferiority. He is in this girl’s shadow so all he can do is clumsily reach out and grab for her with wet hands. In liebe, he’s still watching a woman, or women in the water, still feeling isolated, inferior, unlovable, but this time instead of just reaching out as the object of his desire slides past, he takes matters into his own hands and “makes” her love him.

  1. You can see the song is definitely about masturbation, when you consider that it is the title song of the album, and there was a special edition of this album containing dildos shaped as the band members’.. well.. members. This song, which gave name to the whole album, tells the Rammstein fangirls (or boys), who fell in love with the musicians, that love is there for them too. They too can lock the Rammstein in their fantasies and have a nice ¨time masturbating – for which they kindly provided the instruments.

    • Plus I’d say he’s not really raping the girl in the song, he’s imagining it. He says he locked her in his fantasies, and before the parts where he’s holding her, she’s crying etc. he says “I close my eyes” so for me it’s obvious he’s only imagining it and probably masturbating to it. Which bring us to your comment and the special edition with dildos.

  2. I think this song has something to do with a sex traveller. Warm water, brown skin and sun.

You know… In Thailand, Cambodia, Phillipines there is love for everyone.

Nobody hear her cry because she can only cry when she’s alone.

I know.. Pussy is about sex travellers.

  3. the verses are telling what actually happened, like that he couldnt have sex with the women and the choruses are about him masturbating and fantasizing about them.

    @Rammkrieg
whole choruses seem to tell that.
about “noone sees her crying”: well some people get excited by their partner crying, and without all the other people in his imagination noone sees her. since why would you even want to imagine someone to see you and stop/disturb you

  4. ‘Sie wehrt sich nicht’ is probably better translated as ‘she doesn’t struggle’ or ‘she doesn’t fight back’. Nit picking,I know but different all the same.

  5. Till using a water metaphor makes lots of sense if you think about it. From Wikipedia “In 1978 Lindemann was a participant in the European Junior Swimming Championships in Florence, Was shortlisted to go to 1980 Olympics in Moscow but discontinued the sport soon after. According to Lindemann, “I never liked the sport school actually, it was very intense. But as a child you don’t object.” “

  6. Till is the best singer ever 😀 Rammstein is one band keeping metal weird, and awesome! If only they could come to South Africa :/ Then I would love them all :D(More)

  7. Umm. “So braune Haut” doesn’t need to be translated so literally. How ’bout “such tan skin” – I mean, Germany, for all the clampdowns on freedom of verbal expression, can be far more relaxed about nudity/FKK than most English-speaking countries. Summertime, relaxing in the sun, getting tan. Could be totally harmless, but I didn’t write the lyrics.

    James has an excellent analysis.

As a female, though, I could see interpreting “Ich halt sie fest/Und keiner sieht sie weinen/Sie macht die Augen zu/Sie wehrt sich nicht”, als ob die Frau is upset, being comforted, and is in fact willing. But I also like the potentially menacing double meaning.

    It’s a song, not a textbook, oder?

  8. I think this is what Rammstein could be exploring. But the best art makes you think and inspires you to see yourself for one moment as you really are. And that makes you be more who you are;)

  9. It has been my experience that underlying every emotion is love. For some reason, do not see ourselves as being deserving of anyone’s love. Sadly, especially loving the one person we need to love most; our self. How can anyone love another person if they are unable to love themselves?

  10. i think that this song is saying that there is love for everyone, but somepeople can never find it. They think they have, but its just another lie.

  11. Oh, and “love is for everyone”, I think it’s about the idea that everyone can use his imagination.. leading to the concept that “masturbation is for everyone”
