Warmes Wasser Warm water
Schöne Leiber Beautiful bodies
Wie sie glänzen How they shine
In der Sonne In the sun
Ich schleich mich an I sneak up
Und rede fein And speak well
Wer *** will Whoever wants to ***
Muss freundlich sein Must be friendly

Liebe ist für alle da There is love for everyone
Liebe ist für alle da There is love for everyone
Liebe ist für alle da There is love for everyone

Ich mach die Augen zu I close my eyes
Dann seh ich sie Then I see her
Ich sperr sie ein in meine Fantasie I lock her up in my imagination
Ich mach die Augen zu I close my eyes
Sie wehrt sich nicht She doesn’t defend herself
Liebe ist für alle da – nicht für mich There is love for everyone – not for me

Warmes Wasser Warm water
Schöne Leiber Beautiful bodies
Nicht für mich Not for me
Es läuft davon It’s running away
Feinste Formen Fine curves
Gut gebaut Good build
Voller Mund Full mouth
So braune Haut Such brown skin

Liebe ist für alle da There is love for everyone
Liebe ist für alle da There is love for everyone
Die Liebe ist für alle da – auch für mich There is love for everyone – and for me

Ich mach die Augen zu I close my eyes
Wir sind allein We are alone
Ich halt sie fest I’m holding her tightly
Und keiner sieht sie weinen And no one sees her crying
Sie macht die Augen zu She closes her eyes
Sie wehrt sich nicht She doesn’t defend herself
Liebe ist für alle da – auch für mich There is love for everyone – and for me

Liebe ist für alle da There is love for everyone
Die Liebe ist für alle da There is love for everyone
Liebe ist für alle da – auch für mich There is love for everyone – and for me

This song is about a person who is so lonely and love-deprived that he feels the need to be loved by any means necessary. The person sees a beautiful girl and wants her to love him, so he *** her. He thinks that will make her love him and now he can have love too.

It can also be about a couple that is already in a relationship or married. And the man (husband) in the relationship isn’t feeling his partner (wife) is doing her part in the relationship after all he has done when it comes to loving him as much as he loves her. So rather then cheating on her, he wants to remain faithful to his feelings and commitment to her, despite her now not loving him anymore physically making him feel cheated.

This song feels almost like a continuation of Feuer and Wasser, but it also recalls some of the same feelings as Du Reichst So Gut. Although Du Reichst doesn’t mention water directly, it does say that he touches her “wet skin”.

Another similarity between the two songs is how he tells the woman in Du Reischt not to resist and in Leibe is Fur Alle, he talks about how she doesn’t resist, even though she’s apparently crying, so whatever is happening is not something that she wants.

The water theme is all through out Feuer and Wasser as is the singer’s apparent feelings of rejection and inferiority. He is in this girl’s shadow so all he can do is clumsily reach out and grab for her with wet hands. In liebe, he’s still watching a woman, or women in the water, still feeling isolated, inferior, unlovable, but this time instead of just reaching out as the object of his desire slides past, he takes matters into his own hands and “makes” her love him.

  1. I don’t think people should read too much into till lindemann’s lyrics, rammstein have always said they are init to shock. Plus from the looks of it these are just lyrics of a lonely imagination, they’re probably till lindemanns thoughts himself…it doesn’t mean that if ppl listen to this they will go out and start raping or spunking over girls…

  2. i see no rape in this song.

“close my eyes”, “my fantasy”, even the “she doesn’t defend..” states that in the possible intercourse both are willing. (i would guess that in actual rape there’d be some resisting? unless the hero is raping a corpse.)

  3. This comment is directed @ Ahirry, the song isn’t about masturbation, I don’t know where you could get such an idea. It’s obviously about rape “no one sees her crying” “she doesn’t defend herself”. I mean, the only way you could contemplate it being about masturbation is “I lock her up in my imagination” but Rammstein provides no more hints other than that. It’s far more likely to be about as other people stated; someone who feels love deprived and ends up raping someone. Also to top that off, if the song WAS about masturbation the setting about warm water and beautiful bodies would be unnecessary part of the song, you’re definetely wrong on that one.

  4. Im my opinion,it is about masturbation,as we can se,the fantasy in his mind is getting a bit bulrried as he thinks of his lack of self-esteem:
    “Warm water
    Beautiful bodies
    Not for me
    It’s running away”
(maybe “it’s running away is the blood, dwindling in his penis,as the fantasy getting blurried)
But then he concentrates on details that, how should I say, “may cause a better erction”(fine curves, good build, full mouth),brings back the false reality of the fantasy.

  5. A thought comes to mind: If the speaker’s fantasy is of raping the girl he’s lusting after, then perhaps we should be grateful he’s only using it as masturbation material instead of actually going out and raping her….

  6. One of the great things about rammstein is that every one have his own interpretation of the song. This is why i don’t like the explaining note at the end, it imposes an interpretation of the song. For me, the song is about masturbation, but i won’t say you are wrong if you think it’s about rape.

  7. All in all is a very good song. Doesn’t matter what it is about. Don’t be too interested in what it is about. Feel it, that’s all. it can be about the extinction of the polar bears, so? enjoy listening. probably the Rammstein,if they read your comments of course (which is quite improbable), poke a lot of fun at your analised comments. digg deeper or don’t at all, don’t be naive. Enjoy the song, that’s all. Good luck!!!

  8. I agree with AlphaLambda. Upon a closer inspection of the lyrics, it seems that he repeats the line “I close my eyes” a lot, such as to mean that the reason why she doesn’t defend herself is because he is fantasizing.

  9. From fantasizing and masturbating to actually raping the girl he saw on the beach– yikes. This is the stuff nightmares are made of, and it also falls on the side of ‘Fantasy is dangerous,’ an opinion of which I am not fond because of its ramifications for me.

  10. Looking at the translation, I interpret it differently than what has been said that the theme is rape. The first three lines in the chorus give me the impression that he’s fanticizing about her and can have her however he wants in his head but in reality he can’t have her (even in his pursuits).
The last part of the chorus seems to denote that he starts fanticizing about her in a more violent or forceful manner by his own lonliness, but I wouldn’t go so far as to say it’s about rape.
