Well…… this is a bit different, if the rest of the album is as bad as this song then im not buying. The song was boring, if the lyrics were good then the song would be enjoyable, but being in english just kinda ruins the whole effect, the video is ok if a little racy, this gives my german teacher even more excuse to hate them now and less chance for me to persuade her to play their songs in class. Please let the rest of the album be better

Why can’t they wave a German flag? I mean, they are from Germany after all, are people gonna get upset if a American band waves the flag during a video? Not like they are burning the flag or anything. I like the song, and while the video is *ahem* porn, it’s entertaining as well. I’ve never been int porn but am not offended by it as long as it is not child porn, ect. I’m reserving final judgment until I hear the whole album. I bet it won’t beat Mutter or Herzeleid, but then I’m a bit biased. 😉
My immediate reaction was one of disbelief and anger – I haven’t been waiting 3+ yrs for such hackneyed and flagrantly cheap songwriting. Really, Till? You’re a better lyricist than this. The music is also seriously unimaginative. “Rein raus” was the same basic premise and a much better song. “Bück Dich” was also more entertaining and hilarious. Who could ever forget that live performance? But, after listening (not watching!) to “Pussy” 4/5 times since the video came out it has totally grown on me. That’s what’s so great about Rammstein, and one of the reasons I’ve been a huge fan for 14 yrs. They can write catchy tunes that seem to stick with you (whether you like it or not).
I’m not entirely OK with the video, but also not really surprised. I don’t think it had to be quite so blatant and exposed, but I also believe that this is exactly what the boys wanted – to stir the pot and violently shock people out of their comfort zones. After all, isn’t that what they’re all about? I bet they’re laughing their asses off at this controversy. The random German flag waving and English lyrics (god, why English) surprised me more than the hardcore porn…

Pussy is amazing, and the German flag surprised me more than the pornography. And anyway, one of the hardest things a band can do is be contreversial, because what was contreversial 10 years ago, may be accepted now. They couldnt just fire out something like buck dich again cause it has been done.
Thus a music video filled with hardcore porn is one way to keep people talking and straddle the line between what is and isnt bad taste
Rammstein, I used to think you were a great band until I saw that. You’ve gone too far. I know you were always controversial, but now you are just another CONFORMIST BAND. You have conformed to a completely morally bankrupt worldview. There is nothing separating you from the likes of these soulless US rapper-types. I will not buy the new album. I was looking forward to seeing your show when you got around to touring the UK again, but I wouldn’t be caught dead there now. I’m going to destroy my copies of Herzeleid, Mutter, Reise Reise, Rosenrot and Sehnsucht. They mean absolutely nothing now. You have tarnished yourselves and I am ashamed to say that I was once a huge fan of your work. And by the way my johnson is way bigger than any of yours by the looks of that video.
This is going to be one hell of an album… Moving, heavy and with some retro style to remind us of the previous Rammstein releases. We’ll wait and see….
Even the song is pushing it far too far. It’s like watching and listening to porn. The type of lyrics are definitely different, especially being all in English, and too dull. Repetitive lyrics that I rather not hear (unlike other songs, like Du Hast, with better lyrics). It’s unlike everything I like of theirs. If this is the route they’re taking, I definitely disapprove. I hope their other songs on the album are different. I realize I may now like many of their songs, but dislike the band itself, I don’t really know much about the band anyways.
Fantastic song… But the video clip… even if i literally live for Rammstein, was a little repelling…. even the promotion of the song is extremely difficult with this content… great song though… Rammstein Uber Alles.
