Joe Letz Opens for Rammstein in North America

I showed up last night expecting him to suck like combichrist did, but was actually surprised of how entertaining it was. He did cool remixes and really got the crowed into the mood for a strong show like Rammstein (There was no break between the shows either, they continued his opening). Ièm sorry but I can’t stand Oomph, Eisbrecher or Deathstars, and am happy they took him (just an opinion).

I find the idea of someone doing DJ mixes of R+ tracks bloody awful. I don’t believe it will go down well.

That’s right. The guitar harmonies were awesome. Also, people hate Caliban for “ruining” Sonne. They were just paying homage to the greatest band in the world by covering one of their songs. If anything, they were honoring them.

I’m not really a fan of Caliban but I wouldn’t say metalcore sucks. There’s plenty of good bands under that banner (Killswitch, Unearth). And despite not really being a Caliban fan I liked their cover of sonne. The guitar harmonies in place of female vocals were rad. One of the great things about Rammstein is that it brings together fans of all kinds

People just need to remember that; as mad as it sounds, people have varying opinions. It’s because of that reason that untterly contemptible skid marks like Chris Brown are able to make a living. He’s a vile excuse for a human being, his music is bland regurgitated pop plop & his lyrics have absolutely no message what so ever. Some people (I.E morons) think differently and we just all have to accept that. Your opinion is an OPINION. It is not fact. Lets all just get along

@ABGEWICHST, I am with you. I don’t care what music you listen to, as a metal fan, I will NOT trash it! That’s way these toxic narcissistic assholes are. Negative with no respect. Danny is right on dude, don’t waste your time, you don’t need their fucking approval. I have never seen an ass who talked like a human being, but I have read many human beings who talked like asses on this forum. If they dont like Metalcore, they can fuck off and do you a favor!

Metalcore is not just grubling noise and grunts. Some people think that’s all Rammstein is, we all know that isn’t true.

Their Sonne cover wasn’t terrible. It was actually really good. Of course, the original is the best, but Caliban played it like Caliban plays it. They are a very deep band. Their lyrical content is amazing. It’s not on Rammstein’s level, but a lot of their music is very meaningful.

Oh, and NO ONE is as bad as bieber. No one.

I didn’t expect to be attacked like this. I just listed off my favorite German Metal bands, and Dethklok. If you haven’t listend to DAR, check them out. They are in second place. Rammstein, DAR, and Knorkator are my top three. OOMPH, Caliban and WBTBWB are in there somewhere.

I guess I learned that you guys don’t like metalcore. I won’t bring it up again…

Not sure how to feel about this. Remixes of Rammstein songs? I would have preferred the full Combichrist unit as an opening act, or the Deathstars. Or Apocalyptica.

Dude, there’s no such thing as subjectivity on the internet :D. It’s all black & white around these parts. Something is either “awesome” or it “sucks”. For what it’s worth, I’m with you but I found out a looooooong time ago that you can’t get through to people so I gave up trying to be reasonable.

That doesn’t mean it’s good.

While I do tend to keep a pretty open mind in regards to music, I typically find that anything ending with core is all the same shit. I dislike the sound, I find it highly pretentious, and would never listen to it again after hearing it before. I’ll get along with just any other metal scene except a bunch of teenage hipsters thinking they can make metal.
