The German “Brachialrock” band Rammstein would destroy “the Belarusian state policy,” ruled the moral guardian of the ex-Soviet republic.

Supported by President Alexander Lukashenko, Social Council for morality declared the band abruptly a public enemy. This is in regard to a March 7th concert planned to take place in Minsk. The Rammstein songs were propaganda for “violence, masochism, homosexuality and other perverse,” directed against Belarusian values.

“A permit for a Rammstein concert is a mistake that could cost us a lot,” was said.

  1. Edit:
His site states “I do not support any kind of piracy. This website does not contain any file type, just links to external hosts. All mp3’s in those hosts are only for evaluation purposes.” But i seriously doubt that. He gives for example a rapidshare link to Metallica’s Death Magnetic album.

  2. Oh, and if we’re already at the topic, today my english teacher walked into the classroom, spotted the Rammstein concert advertisement I put on the notice board, and said:
“Kids, kids, you really shouldn’t advertise that horrible band. At least not here, in a religious school.”
    I asked why.
“Because they are the emissaries of hell, and they spread the word of the devil.”
So much for the open-minded calvinic spirit. I told her that its just a good band and that I don’t think that she, as an english teacher, understands much of the lyrics.
Then she tried to give me detention.. and I actually had to remove the paper. But as soon as she left I put it back along with a larger one 😀

  3. wow, this is hilarious, this is a perfect example of what kind of government America is developing. It is definantly one that has little to no input from the people and knows very little about what the people want probably because they don’t care.

  4. WTF is that? I thought the politicians can’t more stupid as they look like. I’m so sorry for the fans. 🙁 Anyway, this dog losed some vote. 🙂

  5. Why do politicians keep involving themselves with such things. If you don’t like it label it mature content. And shut up all ready. And please don’t cancel concerts. Even it’s perverse music (which it obviously is a little bit that’s why we like it,among other things) Let ppl go and watch I’m sure ppl can go do a lot more perverted things then going to a concert.

  6. Thats fuckin’ stupid. It’s music. Why should politic’s make our dicisions. I hope the fans get to see Rammstein in Belarus, they diserve to see them.

  7. I was waiting this concert for years, and now, when Rammstein is almost here this marasmus and hypocrite council is going to ban so waiting show!!! I’m upset. I’m in rage!!!

  8. Unbelievable! I feel sorry for the Rammstein fans in Belarus.
🙁 Hope this attitude of the Belarus authorities will change soon…

  9. Polish social council = go f*** yourselves to a WC, you’ll get a better mood on so no need to harass artists this way… Socialists and political left are crap anyway… here’s another example that supports this opinion.

Rammstein rules anyway, these kind of f****rs don’t understand any special art forms like Rammstein.

  10. I think you should corect that and put “Soviet” republic. Be more open mind! Damn… I’m so sorry for the poor belorusian fans… 🙁
