This song is about desire to be seen and heard. It can also be described simply as a song to pump up the crowd and get their attention. Though the video deals with the media’s obsession with a good story.
I wish you would do direct translation rather than Anglicising überallen. You change the poetic nature of what Till has to say by rearranging and adding filler words that don’t actually exist in the original lyrics. It’s worse than reading a King James Bible because they at least made some attempt to show you with italics where they add text…mostly. Words like “verstehen” have several meaning and in the context of both the song and the video it is much more likely to be better translated as follow than understand. How can he hot understand then when they are simply repeating his words? German is a tricky language and through Anglicising can be changed considerably while still making seemingly perfect sense when in fact its totally off. Context is everything. You don’t get correct context without correct text.

I spent 4 years in Germany (Rheinland Pfalz) area and never became anything more than “Ok” in my Deutch. Thanks for your in put, I wish I had learned much more.
