KREATOR frontman Mille Petrozza took part in the “ESP Social Takeover Weekend” from Andertons Music Co on Saturday, May 8. When asked what advice he would give to aspiring guitarists, Mille replied:
“I would say that the main thing is to create your own style… Of course, you can always be influenced, you can always watch what other people are doing. Especially when you are starting out, it is very important to develop your own style and your own sound. I did that and I think a lot of guitarists look at certain people and learn from them the techniques and the basics. But I think once you’ve taken that step, you should try to develop your own style. And it can be your own character, because you don’t play like other people, as well as your picks or the sound you’re trying to create. I think you should try to develop something unique. That’s my advice. Don’t try to be the next Steve Vai or a guitarist like someone you think is great, just try to be yourself. Because there is no one else who can play like you.”
