A documentary about Wacken Open Air is being produced. This documentary is titled “Wacken 3D – Louder Than Hell”, will be filmed throughout the duration of the festival (using a total of 18 cameras of 3D format), and will consist of backstage footage and live performances by the bands playing at the event. Rammstein will be headlining the second day of the festival and will likely participate in the documentary.
This project will be directed by Norbert Heitker and produced by Tomas Erhart. The documentary will be released in Germany during next year’s spring.
Wacken Open Air is the most important metal festival in the world, taking place in Wacken (Germany) since 1990. Approximately 75,000 people will attend this year’s edition.
