Former METALIUM bassist Lars “Ratz” Ranzenberger died Sunday morning after a trike crash in Majorca. The accident occurred at about ten in the morning near the road from Palma to Monaco near the popular restaurant Es Cruce. Nearby were the aircraft hangars where Lars kept his planes.
The 53-year old German musician and entrepreneur, who lived for several years in Cala Santagni on the southeastern coast of Majorca, died instantly. It is also known that he was the only person on the crashed trike. Medical personnel, the fire brigade, and the police were quickly dispatched to the scene, but were unable to save Ranzenberger’s life. Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
