Am I more handsome cut up my face am I stronger break my neck cowardly am I smarter kill me and eat my brain Do I have your wife kill me and eat me up completely then eat me up completely Am I more honest bite off my tongue am I richer then take everything from me am I more courageous kill me and eat my heart Do I have your wife kill me and eat me up completely then eat me up completely but lick up the plate Jealousy is cooking Do I have smooth skin pull it off in strips Do I have clear eyes take the light from me Do I have a pure soul kill it in flames Do I have your wife, then kill me and eat me up completely then eat me up completely but lick up the plate |
The song lyrics deal with cannibalism brought on by jealousy (especially with the line,”Töte mich und iss mich ganz auf”.
This means,”Kill me and eat me up completely”) and jealousy. The song is also in the movie “Wing Commander”. This song has never been played live.
Missing a translation of the bottom line, Es kocht die Eifersucht.
Jealousy is cooking
They might play it live in the European stadium tour 2020
The song was never played on live. The video “Eifersucht Live Aus Berlin” is fake.

It may sound strange but the repetition: “kill me and eat me up completely then eat me up completely but lick up the plate” explains everything VERY clearly about jealousy and the attitude of the speaker about this. And to be even more precise then the song itself, I would add that before the second eating the first digestion process should have come to end with an end result that can size a plate.
“Bon appetit” to all the jealous people!
Why? Lol… I think it’s an awesome song..
@Mmejia, Wiener Blut makes me angry. I want to tore Till’s psychotic head off his body everytime I hear it.
Eszett
I personally prefer wiener blut and wollt ihr das bett in flammen. The first has that psychotic story that you just love from rammstein and the second has an awesome beat..
I just realized how cool this song is. Till does the deep voice and if you listen closely there is kind of like a little scared persons voice in the background; which of course is till. Kind of giving the impression that till is fighting with himself and asking the inner him( the sane him) to stop being afraid and do what he says…
I completely agree på Tasha. I just love that psychotic laugh.
How is it possible to love exactly ALL of Rammsteins zillion songs? But you have to agree with me, Frühling in Paris und Mutter must be the best? But all of them are epic. Just HELL OF EPIC!
I absolutely love his crazy laughter towards the end. It’s orgasmic.
I have several concers
It is orgasmic indeed
It might just be me, but I disagree witht he assessment that this song is simply about cannibalism. rather, it seems more like cannibalism is being used staire, a parody of sorts. He (the speaker)is asking this person of all the reasons this person seems to feel inferior to him and then challenging him to do something about it, implying that he doesn’t believe the other person will act on his distaste for the speaker. Then when he goes on with “hab ich dein weib”, he’s saying that this person’s hatred for the speaker is unfounded as he has not taken anything from the other person, and rather, the source of this person’s hatred is the fact he hates not the speaker but himself, hence is jealousy, because he wishes to be the speaker. When Till refers to cannibalism is being used as dare, as if to say “if you think ruining me will make you feel better go ahead, because I am not the one you hate.”
Why don’t they play this song live?!I love it!
I think this song is awesome! Love it 😀 But it’s sad that they don’t play it live 🙁
