I agree. Honestly, I first found “Ich Tu Dir Weh” when I was 14. It was cencored but that didn’t stop me from finding it uncensored and proceding to memorize every word of it in both German and English (my native language).
The funny thing about this song is that it seems to talk about governments and its relation with people lives. The idea of being controlled and to serve someone/something you don’t like/agree. Iam a completely ‘against censorship’ person. Just the fact of stoping someone saying what they want is completely out of mine idea of freedom. If you dont like it, just dont buy it. Many products I buy or consume are way different from the idea I had of it and eventhou they are not forbiden. You wont buy a Cannibal Corpse album and play to your kids if you have brains and if you catch your kids listening to it you can just talk to them. I dunno, as said before theres much more harmful things being shown then some lyrics could ever express. And yes the guy on the video looks quite pathetic but again, who cares?
I think censor Ship in MUSIC is a dumb idea partly because one it all boils down to fredom of speach if you feel you want ot (or have a valid reason) to talk about something say such as rape or…Ich Tir Weh’s Subject then do it. BUT if you want to censor it TELL ME. You know? As a parent with kids I WANT to know if somehting is censored from the begining IE Tenacious D’s Fuck her Gently well…okay I don’t want my nine year old to hear THAT. But TELL me that its censored. You know? have TWO versions one Censored and one non and put it on there “This version is Censored” or “This Version Is NOT Censored” Don’t just Censor it and say “This is the only version” or what ever of this CD. As An adult I don’t wanna go int a place buy a CD that has a song I really wanna hear(IE Ich Tir Die Weh) and then find ut its been censored(or in this case completly removed). I’m A FUCKING ADULT. I should be able to GO INTO a FUCKING Store and buy the version I wanna hear. If I think its bad then I won’t listen to it. SO if your going to Censor things TELL ME on the CD or DVD or what ever before I buy it and listen and then find out its censored.

This is a great idea, that guy might not have been a genius but he made some valid points. It’s nice to know there are other fans out there who agree.
