FORUM RULES ABOUT WEB-BASED LINKS TO MUSIC AND VIDEO'S

Based on latest discussions on this forum, and studiing copyright laws, it is necessary to state out new forum mandatory rules, effective immediately, so, here we are.

LINKS TO MUSIC & VIDEOS: what is legal/what is not.
NEW RULES in the forum state:

From now on in our forum users shal NOT POST TOPICS THAT containin the following :
• Requests for or links to MP3s, music videos, or other files of questionable legality
• Bootlegs

So, please do not POST A LINK TO music or videos which does not directly originate from an officially legal site.

An OFFICIALLY LEGAL SITE is: rammstein.com or rammstein.de, universal music, a legitimate music site like MTV or VIVA. The links must be direct and linked only to the approved site. Any links which have copied and transferred the music or videos from an official legal site to ANYWHERE else are NOT OFFICIAL.

• Do not ASK FOR A LINK to music or videos. If there is a legal site for either listening or viewing, xTERNAL will provide the information in the NEWS section of www.RAMMSTEIN-EUROPE.com.

WHAT YOU CAN DO in the forums: You can DISCUSS a new song or a new video.

WHAT YOU CANNOT DO in the forums: provide illegal links or ask for links, give directions of any kind as to where something might be found (examples: file-sharing, other fansites, etc.). Screen caps will be allowed (within reason) AFTER a video has been made available through an OFFICIAL LEGAL LINK. Fan remixes of songs will be allowed (within reason) after the song has been officially released.

The above restrictions are necessary not because we are being “damn babies” or “. The reason is simply that RAMMSTEIN-EUROPE has made the decision to not be a facilitator of illegal activities involving copyrighted material. The reason for that is also clear. Rammstein’s Management has shown aggressive behaviour in combating copyright infringement.

Anyone who violates the spirit of the aforementioned expansion/explanation of what the RULES mean here as applied to music and videos (and this also includes the "making of videos") will meet up with one of the following consequences:

POST BLOCKED, LINK ERASED AND WORSE.... BANNED IF NECESSARY.

If you have ANY questions about what may or may not be acceptable here, you can always PM a Moderator and ask first before posting something that might get you in trouble here.

•any links to www.youtube.com (or other sharing sites of a similar nature)are generally not allowed.
While some videos like fan made items or spoof animations are allowed, we do not allow linking to youtube. Oftentimes there is/are illegal videos of Rammstein performances to the side of the linked videos. Actual Rammstein Videos which are very illegal to be hosted by that site - therefore we cannot allow links to youtube to be allowed.

So, links to youtube are now allowed - ONLY IF it is a fanmade video by you, and does not contain bootleg footage or footage of live performances or released performances. Stills from photos found on the net are OK. A montage is OK. Clips of released footage are NOT OK.

Please try to understand that sometimes while we may allow a certain individuals fanmade videos, and deny another persons it is usually because the content in it could get the forums in trouble.

Also if some individuals post their fanmade video and it turns out to be bootleg footage that they filmed themselves at a concert and consider that "fanmade" - then we will have to reverse the ruling on allowing fanmade videos PERIOD!

Here is an update on what is considered "fanmade".
Fanmade is fanmade. You did it yourself. Like cut and paste. You creatd everything yourself. No footage filmed by someone else no clips. Still images are OK.
For example:
If you go out and find 6 banana slugs in the yard, dress them up in LAB outfits, and put the skinniest one in a paper boat and play the music to SEEMANN on a kazoo. That is fanmade.

If you have a coverband and you do your own video or you have footage of YOUR band's performance. That is fanmade.

If you have images that you sketched of how you think the video for a song should have been and you put it to music - I think we can allow that.

Use your creativity.

IF YOU SEE VIOLATION OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, REPORT IT BY USING THE EXCLAMATION MARK IN THE TOP RIGHT CORNER OF RELEVANT POST.

I was watching a few videos... what on earth happens on stage just before Deutschland is played live? RZK plays his arguably sub-par remix of Deutschland, with people in LED suits dancing on stage?
Might work for Coachella, don't think it remotely works on this crowd. Very weird flex from RZK...

Art in Heaven - let us know if you do think about selling them

The amount of complaining from people who haven't even seen the show yet is remarkable. I take it this happens at the start of every tour?

One thing I'm confident in - Rammstein knows better than any of its Debbie Downer fans how to put on an awesome live show. Thank god they don't take advice from the Internet.

Ah! I knew I wasn't losing it - Rammstein switched their production company for this tour. Previous ones had been provided with equipment from Black Box Music and the design had been by LeRoy Bennet, but this time around it's being done by Woodroffe Bassett. It makes sense that things feel a bit different, as this company probably doesn't have the same decade of experience with the band as the previous production group had. Bit of a shame, I wonder why they switched that up...

Aww you're so adorable, buying tickets for a show and then based on some shitty Youtube videos, you stomp your feet, fold your arms, and announce to the world that the tour is shit and you're going to sell the tickets instead of going.

Who do you think you're kidding? You will go to the show just as you planned. Enjoy! (Or not -- nobody cares)

He wouldn’t be the first person of this forum to sell gis ticket.

There are things I didn’t like but I loved the concert and the band’s special guest.

The show has some weird aspects IMO too, when I watch the videos on youtube. But I didn't watch it to the full though. Maybe that remix-part is a welcome "break" after some hard heavy stuff. I remember FIP and Ohne Dich being welcome songs, after the crowd went wild in the first few songs of previous tours. And youtube has often experienced problems with footage of Rammstein songs; that lighting is hard to catch, as well as the full stage effects. Their Best-of tour on youtube (and even on the DVD) looks like the audience couldn't see very well what was happening on stage, though it really didn't appear to be very dark at all in reality.
                    Nevertheless: what a long killer-setlist !
They will have to make major changes though, in the next leg of the tour when they're not doing stadiums anymore.

I agree that it's a great set list and I have no problem with 'Was ich Liebe' as the opening song because Reise Reise wasn't exactly speed metal but it fit so well. My real problem is with the stage show itself. We've been used to drama, theatre and FIRE on previous tours, and now we are left with lighting effects as the main feature of the show. I had hoped for more.

I loved the Guest artists too, there are things I would remove but I loved the show, I hope they'll come back next year again.

Once the actual tour started, I tried staying away from some spoilers. I did not want to know every detail about the tour. So I won't make any big comments about this live show before I see them in Berlin in two weeks.

The setlist does indeed look awesome, although I am not sure about the order of the songs. They actually still keep changing minor details here and there, so who knows how the show will be when I see them.

The only big complaint I have in advance, is that according to some spoiler-free reviews I have read, the IMAC screen in the middle of the stage only shows live-footage of the band for 20% of the concert. Most of the time it's just some JPEG's of the Rammstein logo. This is honestly one of these moments I really don't know what the fuck the band is thinking. They are playing at venues that have a capacity for 80 000 spectators like in Berlin or Moscow. The idea that people way back can't see anything the band is doing, despite the fact that there is a screen and a camera-crew, is just mind-blowing.

Some have cited the "no screen" policy the band had in the past, because Rammstein might be the only big band at this point that doesn't have screens all over their stage. But actually during their North-American concerts and the Prague concert in 2017, the band used their own IMAC screens the entire show. Those venues were much smaller then what the band is playing this year.

They might change this for the bigger shows of this tour, since it appears the camera crew is actually recording the band during the entire show. I think that means we could get some live-videos on Youtube throughout the tour.

I was at the second Gelsenkirchen date, and i hate to say it but I was a little disappointed afterwards. The piano girls as the opening act and the slow opener result in a "cool" audience when the show really starts. However, when the pressure is built up they start playing slower songs again. There's no place in the setlist for the piano girls, was ich liebe, diamant, engel (piano) and ohne dich. And don't get me started on the remix, that was the point my mother turned to me (we went to LIFAD and MiG together) and said "wow, they used to be much better". The album and the stage had lots of potential and in some songs you can see that, but more often than not you can feel that this is a tour of compromises.
