FORUM RULES ABOUT WEB-BASED LINKS TO MUSIC AND VIDEO'S

Based on latest discussions on this forum, and studiing copyright laws, it is necessary to state out new forum mandatory rules, effective immediately, so, here we are.

LINKS TO MUSIC & VIDEOS: what is legal/what is not.
NEW RULES in the forum state:

From now on in our forum users shal NOT POST TOPICS THAT containin the following :
• Requests for or links to MP3s, music videos, or other files of questionable legality
• Bootlegs

So, please do not POST A LINK TO music or videos which does not directly originate from an officially legal site.

An OFFICIALLY LEGAL SITE is: rammstein.com or rammstein.de, universal music, a legitimate music site like MTV or VIVA. The links must be direct and linked only to the approved site. Any links which have copied and transferred the music or videos from an official legal site to ANYWHERE else are NOT OFFICIAL.

• Do not ASK FOR A LINK to music or videos. If there is a legal site for either listening or viewing, xTERNAL will provide the information in the NEWS section of www.RAMMSTEIN-EUROPE.com.

WHAT YOU CAN DO in the forums: You can DISCUSS a new song or a new video.

WHAT YOU CANNOT DO in the forums: provide illegal links or ask for links, give directions of any kind as to where something might be found (examples: file-sharing, other fansites, etc.). Screen caps will be allowed (within reason) AFTER a video has been made available through an OFFICIAL LEGAL LINK. Fan remixes of songs will be allowed (within reason) after the song has been officially released.

The above restrictions are necessary not because we are being “damn babies” or “. The reason is simply that RAMMSTEIN-EUROPE has made the decision to not be a facilitator of illegal activities involving copyrighted material. The reason for that is also clear. Rammstein’s Management has shown aggressive behaviour in combating copyright infringement.

Anyone who violates the spirit of the aforementioned expansion/explanation of what the RULES mean here as applied to music and videos (and this also includes the "making of videos") will meet up with one of the following consequences:

POST BLOCKED, LINK ERASED AND WORSE.... BANNED IF NECESSARY.

If you have ANY questions about what may or may not be acceptable here, you can always PM a Moderator and ask first before posting something that might get you in trouble here.

•any links to www.youtube.com (or other sharing sites of a similar nature)are generally not allowed.
While some videos like fan made items or spoof animations are allowed, we do not allow linking to youtube. Oftentimes there is/are illegal videos of Rammstein performances to the side of the linked videos. Actual Rammstein Videos which are very illegal to be hosted by that site - therefore we cannot allow links to youtube to be allowed.

So, links to youtube are now allowed - ONLY IF it is a fanmade video by you, and does not contain bootleg footage or footage of live performances or released performances. Stills from photos found on the net are OK. A montage is OK. Clips of released footage are NOT OK.

Please try to understand that sometimes while we may allow a certain individuals fanmade videos, and deny another persons it is usually because the content in it could get the forums in trouble.

Also if some individuals post their fanmade video and it turns out to be bootleg footage that they filmed themselves at a concert and consider that "fanmade" - then we will have to reverse the ruling on allowing fanmade videos PERIOD!

Here is an update on what is considered "fanmade".
Fanmade is fanmade. You did it yourself. Like cut and paste. You creatd everything yourself. No footage filmed by someone else no clips. Still images are OK.
For example:
If you go out and find 6 banana slugs in the yard, dress them up in LAB outfits, and put the skinniest one in a paper boat and play the music to SEEMANN on a kazoo. That is fanmade.

If you have a coverband and you do your own video or you have footage of YOUR band's performance. That is fanmade.

If you have images that you sketched of how you think the video for a song should have been and you put it to music - I think we can allow that.

Use your creativity.

IF YOU SEE VIOLATION OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, REPORT IT BY USING THE EXCLAMATION MARK IN THE TOP RIGHT CORNER OF RELEVANT POST.

I do think there would be a backlash if fans went to a concert in 2021 that was available on Netflix or DVD (or whatever platform they choose) more than a year in advance.
No, Iron Maiden doesn't change their setlists during the tour; not sure why you think that? Unless it's somewhere they're almost never 've been, but that wasn't the case since 2008, if I'm correct. Of course they have less gimmicks (who has more?), but I don't think people would mind to see the gig on DVD before they go. I think many would even go to see it. And I think most of the Rammstein concerts of the upcoming European leg are already sold out anyway, no?

    • Many people see the same show more than once, so I see no difficulty in seeing it on dvd as well. Actually, if you're not right in front of the stage and can see every detail for yourself, I think it is a help. I've seen the same show from different positions, absolute front to halfway middle of the crowd, and I enjoyed both, it gave different perspective, though I did enjoy the front up against the barrier the most, but that is not always possible.

        • I'm wondering if we would've had any new material if this Covid19 didn't happen. Till spoke about leftovers, but not sure if after 2 year touring and then a break (and then maybe some solo stuff) they would've been up for hitting the studio again. I don't think they'll continue with Rammstein until they're way over 60. Lindemann might though.

The big question is of course when this all will see the light of day. I don't think 2020 will bring anything new. And will they bring out anything new before continuing the current tour?

          • I’ll be surprised if they release it soon, and of course not until the current tour ends. And what about SouthAmerica? 2022

I get your point. But still, releasing complete footage from a show that is still touring, almost never happens. Especially in the case of Rammstein were everything is staged and pre-planned.

David Gesslbauer (who edited the "Deutschland"-video) was also the live-footage editor for the IMAG screens for the tour. Recently he wrote a comment on instagram that the Vienna-filming was mainly for promotional-use, and was most likely not intended as a concert-film. Again, seems strange that the band would cancel Meet & Greets for a promo-shoot. However we also know that they are working on a big documentary, so it makes sense they would film interviews with the band-members at the last days of the tour.

              • ^But covid19 also almost never happen . This calls for an exceptional aproach.

Thanks for sharing Gesslbauer's post with us. Makes sense that it's just filmed for a promo-shoot; they've used some pics already, and I guess someone from the officials would've mentioned more already if it was to be a concert. Then again, they might just keep it up their sleeve as well, just in case. It might serve for a video clip as well, who knows?

I like documentaries, so I hope it's true. If they're more about the band and their experiences, unlike their mast Making Ofs

I agree. At least they filmed a show with 3-4 additional cameras, in case the stadium tour gets cancelled completely.

For LIFAD members, there is a new picture from the album production. It features Flake and one of the producers working on a mixing-table.

                  • Does anyone know if the Herzeleid songs on the re-edition are somewhat changed? Did they add stuff or leave thing out of them?

For example it could be that they extended the bridge in Du riechst so gut or changed the end a bit, like they do live. Or add some "zu staub" phrases in Asche zu Asche like they do live...

                    • ^I bet that this re-release is going to be as low effort as it gets. They said they were going to re-master the tracks, but that is not going to result in any big difference unless they actually go to the original layers and remaster each individual instrument.

After all, nothing is better than eternal happiness, and a ham sandwich is certainly better than nothing. Therefore a ham sandwich is better than eternal happiness."

It’s the 2015 remaster for the XXI Vinyl collection that is being used. So the vinyl is the same as the 2015 print. This will however be the first time the 2015 remaster gets a CD and Digital release.

                            What is exactly being used?

I could have phrased that better. Each album was remastered for the 2015 Vinyl releases (remember the big XXI box set). The 25 year anniversary vinyl is the exact same pressing as the version sold in the 2015 box set. The only thing new is that this will be the first time the 2015 remastered version of Herzeleid will be available in CD and digital as well.

I bought the Mutter vinyl. My ears could not pick up any noticable difference.

                              • A danish translation of an unofficial Rammstein biography will be released.

They mistakingly used a picture from the "Völkerball" cover-band in the cover. Or maybe it's some legal issue?
