FORUM RULES ABOUT WEB-BASED LINKS TO MUSIC AND VIDEO'S

Based on latest discussions on this forum, and studiing copyright laws, it is necessary to state out new forum mandatory rules, effective immediately, so, here we are.

LINKS TO MUSIC & VIDEOS: what is legal/what is not.
NEW RULES in the forum state:

From now on in our forum users shal NOT POST TOPICS THAT containin the following :
• Requests for or links to MP3s, music videos, or other files of questionable legality
• Bootlegs

So, please do not POST A LINK TO music or videos which does not directly originate from an officially legal site.

An OFFICIALLY LEGAL SITE is: rammstein.com or rammstein.de, universal music, a legitimate music site like MTV or VIVA. The links must be direct and linked only to the approved site. Any links which have copied and transferred the music or videos from an official legal site to ANYWHERE else are NOT OFFICIAL.

• Do not ASK FOR A LINK to music or videos. If there is a legal site for either listening or viewing, xTERNAL will provide the information in the NEWS section of www.RAMMSTEIN-EUROPE.com.

WHAT YOU CAN DO in the forums: You can DISCUSS a new song or a new video.

WHAT YOU CANNOT DO in the forums: provide illegal links or ask for links, give directions of any kind as to where something might be found (examples: file-sharing, other fansites, etc.). Screen caps will be allowed (within reason) AFTER a video has been made available through an OFFICIAL LEGAL LINK. Fan remixes of songs will be allowed (within reason) after the song has been officially released.

The above restrictions are necessary not because we are being “damn babies” or “. The reason is simply that RAMMSTEIN-EUROPE has made the decision to not be a facilitator of illegal activities involving copyrighted material. The reason for that is also clear. Rammstein’s Management has shown aggressive behaviour in combating copyright infringement.

Anyone who violates the spirit of the aforementioned expansion/explanation of what the RULES mean here as applied to music and videos (and this also includes the "making of videos") will meet up with one of the following consequences:

POST BLOCKED, LINK ERASED AND WORSE.... BANNED IF NECESSARY.

If you have ANY questions about what may or may not be acceptable here, you can always PM a Moderator and ask first before posting something that might get you in trouble here.

•any links to www.youtube.com (or other sharing sites of a similar nature)are generally not allowed.
While some videos like fan made items or spoof animations are allowed, we do not allow linking to youtube. Oftentimes there is/are illegal videos of Rammstein performances to the side of the linked videos. Actual Rammstein Videos which are very illegal to be hosted by that site - therefore we cannot allow links to youtube to be allowed.

So, links to youtube are now allowed - ONLY IF it is a fanmade video by you, and does not contain bootleg footage or footage of live performances or released performances. Stills from photos found on the net are OK. A montage is OK. Clips of released footage are NOT OK.

Please try to understand that sometimes while we may allow a certain individuals fanmade videos, and deny another persons it is usually because the content in it could get the forums in trouble.

Also if some individuals post their fanmade video and it turns out to be bootleg footage that they filmed themselves at a concert and consider that "fanmade" - then we will have to reverse the ruling on allowing fanmade videos PERIOD!

Here is an update on what is considered "fanmade".
Fanmade is fanmade. You did it yourself. Like cut and paste. You creatd everything yourself. No footage filmed by someone else no clips. Still images are OK.
For example:
If you go out and find 6 banana slugs in the yard, dress them up in LAB outfits, and put the skinniest one in a paper boat and play the music to SEEMANN on a kazoo. That is fanmade.

If you have a coverband and you do your own video or you have footage of YOUR band's performance. That is fanmade.

If you have images that you sketched of how you think the video for a song should have been and you put it to music - I think we can allow that.

Use your creativity.

IF YOU SEE VIOLATION OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, REPORT IT BY USING THE EXCLAMATION MARK IN THE TOP RIGHT CORNER OF RELEVANT POST.

  • hahahahahha We've been listening to the same song for some years before the untitled album, I won't begin to celebrate right now.

    • ^Not the same circunstances. They already have almost half of it done. And like I said, I wouldn't bet money on it being ready before the 2021 tour starts.
"Which is better, eternal happiness or a ham sandwich? It would appear that eternal happiness is better, but this is really not so! After all, nothing is better than eternal happiness, and a ham sandwich is certainly better than nothing. Therefore a ham sandwich is better than eternal happiness."

      • They have many songs too, .... before 2021 tour starts? I don't think so, they won't release a new album before they tour the untitled one. And they have more than half of the world to visit. They love touring more than writing new music and I think that each time they met for new music they dislike some of the previous songs.

          • Because they have met many years without releasing a new album, so my theory is when they met they dislike some of the previous ones or discard them because aren't good enough, they are perfectionists, we know that
The album was finally released on May 2019 and according to the interview Till gave that opened the new album's thread (2015) it was planned 2 years before.

            - To finish up, when can we see Rammstein returning to Spain?
Till.- Well in 2016 we will enter studio and will be in 2017 when we surely will release our record and we’ll see you in Spain, but it is still too soon to confirm anything in 100%.

            • Whilst it's optimistic to think we'll get a new album, I just hope it's not a Rosenrot 2.0 in the sense it's left over songs that they didn't think were good enough to feature on Untitled. I like Rosenrot but it wasn't received greatly from fans at the time.

That being said.. who knows what they have? the other songs might sound more Mutter/Sehnsucht ish which a lot of us want but maybe they didn't want to repeat themselves with that sound. I doubt that but until we hear anything I guess we can't judge. Either way... bring on a new album it'll still be better than most stuff released today..

I just don't think we'll see anything before maybe 2023. We're still not sure if the show will be played in 2022 anywhere and as Maya said they do take they're time perfecting.

Just to say: Rosenrot wasn't actually leftovers that weren't good enough, it was more coincidential (according to theme and rythm and so) that some stuff ended up on Rosenrot instead of Reise, Reise. For example, they saw Bezin as well as Reise, Reise fit to be the first song on the album, so they kept the first one for the Rosenrot record. The fact that Rosenrot became a more deep, dark and sadder album was also a coincidential effect, according to Paul.

That's quite the assumption ! I see no reason to think that they discarded or disapproved the material they made just based upon the fact it took longer than foreseen. Especially because Till said it wasn't sure. They did point out that things were difficult to decide as they wanted all 6 of them to agree on every single detail, so I think it just took longer than expected. But they did change ideas, as they once mentioned putting Ramm4 on the record, which eventually didn't happen. It could be that they were too sick of the studio and extended the 2017 tour, I don't know. In the end, it's all speculation. Maybe Ramm4 will still end up somewhere, but I suppose it won't anymore. We know the studio version exists of course, but still...

                • Maybe they'll include Ramm4 in a single or in a new Raritäten, I wish they publish a CD version of Raritäten, I would like to have it original.

They meet during several years and after they choose between the songs they have, who knows if they have jewels that we will never see (Listen).

                  • I was happy to hear Schneider talk about the fact that they are working on music again.

Like many have said, I feel like "Rosenrot" might be their weakest album, and it does feel like some of the weaker ideas landed on that record (despite what the band says). We don't know if the band plans on releasing a new album or just an EP. We just know that 5 finished songs from the Untitled-sessions are un-mastered. Either way, I don't think they should wait more than 1-2 years before they release something. If this is indeed a "twin" album to Untitled (like Rosenrot) it will probably have overall a similar sound, and that's why it would feel outdated and repetitive if it was released 4-5 years after Untitled. But again, that's assuming the album consists mainly of left-overs and demos from the Untitled session.

If they go a completely new direction and decide to use none of the original recordings from 2018, then I think they can take their time.

I think you meant the shows in 2021. There is still uncertainty if the shows can take place next year. The threat of the virus needs to be more or less completely removed in order to fill up stadiums. Playing at half capacity or with distancing rules is simply not possible for Rammstein's big production. I read an article in regards to the Trondheim show were the promoter said that everyone involved in the tour will work like normal to make the shows happen in 2021. If the virus still is a problem by then, fans will get a refund for cancelled events.

No hehe I meant let's assume the 2021 shows go as planned, we still don't know if rumours of Australia/New Zealand could then happen in 2022. Even if it isn't Australia etc we still don't know if they intend to play in 2022 again which would delay any potential music release. I also think we'll see the next live DVD before a new album/EP as it's already recorded and probably in the middle of being edited. I also think they are aware that Amerika and Paris were released a lot later than they should have been compared to other artists and even their own previous live DVDs.

I'm not actually sure where I saw about the Australia rumours and I'm not sure if they are big enough to fill stadiums by themselves down there although they got a good response at Big Day Out 2011.

                        • Richard said in an interview in late 2018 that Rammstein had planned to tour in the US and Australia somewhere in 2020, although they were unsure if they would play indoor or outdoor shows.

I doubt the stadium tour will go outside of Europe and North-America. Other markets like South America and Australia are too difficult in terms of logistics and the number of shows they can play there. Rammstein has not even managed to bring their full arena show to those places.

I assumed that after the stadium tour, the band would play at festivals. Festivals pay well and have a different audience.

                          • I'm sure they will tour South America, maybe not with a Stadium Tour, but they'll go.

                            • ^I wonder if they'd ever consider an online concert, like Wacken did, Werchter (Belgium) did, and many others are going to do this summer. Of course they'd be limited, but everyone is. And they're a band that doesn't really interact with an audience, so why not give it a shot?
