Adolf Hitler

Who is:

Adolf Hitler was Chancellor of Germany from 1933 and Führer (Leader) of Germany from 1934 until his death. He was leader of the National Socialist German Workers Party (Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei or NSDAP), better known as the Nazi Party.

Date of birth – dead:

April 20, 1889 – April 30, 1945

Relation to Rammstein:

The Rammstein band and it’s members are not Nazis, as some people think.

Unfortunately, considering the band’s staunch approach, and their reliance on both German language and heritage to inspire their music, the haunting images of their nation’s war-like past have followed Rammstein around virtually from day one. Even the German media has set out to uncover the true meanings behind some of Rammstein’s more controversial and mysterious songs- with no evidence what-so-ever of oft-rumored Nazi-leanings ever even showing up. The band’s members themselves are as confounded as anyone as to where these obviously false allegations first started. Some believe it may have to do with the cover art of their 1995 debut disc, Herzeleid, where the six shirtless, well-toned band members come across as poster boys for some new ‘master race.’ Other group members insist it’s just the German media doing their best to cause trouble.

‘It has been so silly,’ Flake explained. ‘That was just a photo of us- not some political statement! The German media sometimes gets carried away with such things. There was even one critic who said that the way Till rolls his ‘r’s’ when he sings is supposed to mimic the way that Hitler used to speak! How silly can they get. We’ve never written a political song in our life, and we probably never will. It’s just reverse discrimination because we are German. Kraftwerk had the same thing happen to them twenty years ago. If we were Spanish or Dutch, there would be no problem.

Biography

(short version):
Hitler was born on April 20, 1889, at Braunau am Inn, Austria, a small town in Upper Austria, on the border with Germany. He was the fourth of six children of Alois Hitler (1837″“1903), a customs official, and Klara Pölzl (1860-1907), Alois’s niece and third wife. Of these six children, only Adolf and his younger sister Paula reached adulthood. Alois Hitler also had a son (Alois Junior) and a daughter (Angela) by his second wife.

When after intense street-to-street combat Soviet troops were spotted within a block or two of the Reich Chancellory in the city centre, Hitler committed suicide in the Führerbunker on April 30, 1945 by means of a self-delivered shot to the head (it is likely he simultaneously bit into a cyanide ampoule). Hitler’s body and that of Eva Braun (his long-term mistress whom he had married the day before) were put in a bomb crater, partially burned with gasoline by Führerbunker aides and hastily buried in the Chancellory garden as Russian shells poured down and Red Army infantry continued to advance only two or three hundred metres away.

  1. And besides, do you realy think rammstein would sing something that political? They would lose all their fans!!!

  2. Yeah i imediatly knew that ,that was not rammstein singing that song coz it sounds terrible and nothing like Till Lindemann

  3. but rammstein also made a song called hitler, and although my german has been a bit patchy recently it contains content similar to the old nazi national anthem, sorry to be a spoil sport but if that’s not going to spark rumors then what will
