FORUM RULES ABOUT WEB-BASED LINKS TO MUSIC AND VIDEO'S

Based on latest discussions on this forum, and studiing copyright laws, it is necessary to state out new forum mandatory rules, effective immediately, so, here we are.

LINKS TO MUSIC & VIDEOS: what is legal/what is not.
NEW RULES in the forum state:

From now on in our forum users shal NOT POST TOPICS THAT containin the following :
• Requests for or links to MP3s, music videos, or other files of questionable legality
• Bootlegs

So, please do not POST A LINK TO music or videos which does not directly originate from an officially legal site.

An OFFICIALLY LEGAL SITE is: rammstein.com or rammstein.de, universal music, a legitimate music site like MTV or VIVA. The links must be direct and linked only to the approved site. Any links which have copied and transferred the music or videos from an official legal site to ANYWHERE else are NOT OFFICIAL.

• Do not ASK FOR A LINK to music or videos. If there is a legal site for either listening or viewing, xTERNAL will provide the information in the NEWS section of www.RAMMSTEIN-EUROPE.com.

WHAT YOU CAN DO in the forums: You can DISCUSS a new song or a new video.

WHAT YOU CANNOT DO in the forums: provide illegal links or ask for links, give directions of any kind as to where something might be found (examples: file-sharing, other fansites, etc.). Screen caps will be allowed (within reason) AFTER a video has been made available through an OFFICIAL LEGAL LINK. Fan remixes of songs will be allowed (within reason) after the song has been officially released.

The above restrictions are necessary not because we are being “damn babies” or “. The reason is simply that RAMMSTEIN-EUROPE has made the decision to not be a facilitator of illegal activities involving copyrighted material. The reason for that is also clear. Rammstein’s Management has shown aggressive behaviour in combating copyright infringement.

Anyone who violates the spirit of the aforementioned expansion/explanation of what the RULES mean here as applied to music and videos (and this also includes the "making of videos") will meet up with one of the following consequences:

POST BLOCKED, LINK ERASED AND WORSE.... BANNED IF NECESSARY.

If you have ANY questions about what may or may not be acceptable here, you can always PM a Moderator and ask first before posting something that might get you in trouble here.

•any links to www.youtube.com (or other sharing sites of a similar nature)are generally not allowed.
While some videos like fan made items or spoof animations are allowed, we do not allow linking to youtube. Oftentimes there is/are illegal videos of Rammstein performances to the side of the linked videos. Actual Rammstein Videos which are very illegal to be hosted by that site - therefore we cannot allow links to youtube to be allowed.

So, links to youtube are now allowed - ONLY IF it is a fanmade video by you, and does not contain bootleg footage or footage of live performances or released performances. Stills from photos found on the net are OK. A montage is OK. Clips of released footage are NOT OK.

Please try to understand that sometimes while we may allow a certain individuals fanmade videos, and deny another persons it is usually because the content in it could get the forums in trouble.

Also if some individuals post their fanmade video and it turns out to be bootleg footage that they filmed themselves at a concert and consider that "fanmade" - then we will have to reverse the ruling on allowing fanmade videos PERIOD!

Here is an update on what is considered "fanmade".
Fanmade is fanmade. You did it yourself. Like cut and paste. You creatd everything yourself. No footage filmed by someone else no clips. Still images are OK.
For example:
If you go out and find 6 banana slugs in the yard, dress them up in LAB outfits, and put the skinniest one in a paper boat and play the music to SEEMANN on a kazoo. That is fanmade.

If you have a coverband and you do your own video or you have footage of YOUR band's performance. That is fanmade.

If you have images that you sketched of how you think the video for a song should have been and you put it to music - I think we can allow that.

Use your creativity.

IF YOU SEE VIOLATION OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, REPORT IT BY USING THE EXCLAMATION MARK IN THE TOP RIGHT CORNER OF RELEVANT POST.

New Rammstein tour 2015 or 2016?

Although nothing is really confirmed yet, it looks like the next step in Rammstein´s career is yet another tour, before they maybe go back to the studio and produce another album. The band is supposedly going to have a meeting somewhat later this year, and we know that they sometimes do spontaneous decisions which no one expects. However, if you followed the interviews the band has given lately, a new tour sounds more plausible than a new record. First of all, Richard Kruspe has mentioned in several interviews that he feels like doing a tour with Rammstein again, mainly because he has been doing so much studio work with Emigrate. There is a good chance of Till Lindemann thinking the same, while Flake also wants to get some fresh air after writing a book. In addition Christoph Schneider said in an interview in 2013, that the band did not plan to do a very long break before touring again. While all this is just speculation for now, I am pretty sure that they will at least do one little Europe tour before going back to the studio.

One thing that I am curious about, is when might this tour start? If the band wants to go on tour as soon as possible, the most realistic thing to expect would be a 2016 spring/summer tour in Europe. They would probably also go to Festivals. The band was supposedly going to have a meeting in September this year. However, other Rammstein fansites all the sudden claim that Richard said the band was going to meet again in March already. Considering a band like Rammstein confirms tour dates at least 6-11 months before the actual tour starts, and since the band needs a lot of time for preparation we could maybe already get concert announcements as early as summer.

A completely different scenario would be, if the band meets in March because they want to do a winter 2015/2016 tour. This would technically be possible if the band would already meet in March, and the first concerts would then be in November/December. Then again, one has to be very optimistic to seriously expect that to happen.

I also wonder how this new tour would be like. Richard mentioned that the band has reached a peak in their career, where they could headline festivals without presenting new material or presenting a new album. My guess is that the band is still enjoying their "Made in Germany / Best off" era of their career. In addition, let`s not forget that although the band is 20 years old, they have never done a tour which did not promote an album (Made in Germany / Best of - technically counts as an album). In that case, I really hope they play songs which we have not heard for a while. The last couple of tours (2009-2013) were very heavy based on the albums Mutter, Reise ,Reise and Liebe ist für alle da. It would be nice to hear some Herzeleid and Sehnsucht songs, or some of the Reise, Reise material which they have not played for a while like Reise, Reise (the song), Los ,Morgenstern etc. I would especially love to hear Stripped live.

I would also love if they would completely change their show and do something very different from the previous tours. However I really hope they don`t use the same stage and gear they have used since 2009, and the band only changes costumes and a few effects. In that case, I am going to buy expensive "Meet and Greet"- tickets only to slap all six members and their tour manager in the face!

But then again, this is all just speculation for now. Anyway, when do you hope/think the band is going on tour again, and what kind of show and songs do you hope they use?

I haven't seen any interviews saying anything other than the band will meet in September. Till's project should be out in May, that will keep him busy over the Summer, Flake's book will be out in March, he will do interviews and readings for a while and Richard has in several interviews hinted that the next Emigrate CD would be out this Summer, which would also keep him busy + the house he is building seems to be more work than he thought.

So all in all I don't see tour or recording from R+ happening this year at all, however much we would want it to be so. And personally, I would rather have new - really new - material than another tour or another DVD.

Edit: Oh you edited the part with several sites mentioned RZK interviews as source for an early meeting, while I wrote.

Yeah, I agree with Rose. While it'd be great to have the opportunity to see them live again, I highly doubt they will launch a huge tour without new material, and a tour in Europe will do me no good.

Do you have links to any of the interviews saying they might tour? Or hinting it?

I think it's more likely that even though, yes, we would go see them playing the same old stuff, they will probably want to write new stuff eventually. I don't think they're played out. Especially not when at least two of them are actively writing music (even if for other projects).

      I'd love a tour, but I just don't think it's likely.

You won't see the band going on another tour without first making a new studio album. They could theoretically release a new album and commence a new tour for it in lat 2016, but I'm not holding my breath. By personal bet is, they come out of their crio-sleep in 2017.

I like the way you speculate, Chrisss, but I think you indeed overlooked the DVD / documentary a bit. I don't think the band will do things simultanously (touring AND releasing a live DVD or releasing a live DVD while releasing a solo project). Solo projects + DVD / docu will surely delay any touring or album writing. Although I could indeed imagine them starting off with a tour again instead of an album. Or jsut maybe touring till right before an album, because there might be leftovers from the very productive LIFAD-writing period, who knows (Richard said they had 40 new songs back than).

          But in general, I think:
          - spring: Rammstein meeting + Till's solo stuff
          - summer: Emigrate
          - fall: DVD / Docu to make people regain interest in Rammstein; and closely after they'll anounce tour dates for summer festivals of 2016
          - winter / spring 2016: writing, recording
          - summer /late spring: 2 months of summer festivals, maybe already with new stage, as promoting they'll be back with a new album shortly (maybe already with 1 new song live)
          - late fall 2016: new record
          - winter 2016: start tour new record

Those are my - I admit a bit idealistic - two cents

^I don't think they would create a new stage without first making a new studio album. If they indeed go on a spring/summer tour without a new album, they will probably recycle (again) their MIG stage. However, I don't really believe they will start a new tour without first making a new album (even though I wouldn't be shocked if they actually did).

Furthermore, they will probably release 3 seperate DVDs, and according to RZK,the first of the three will be released this March. However, this must be taken with a grain of salt, since they are constantly delaying releases.

Rule of thumb for me - don't expect anything and you will be surprised. Constructing complex theories based on RZK's interviews is at least a bit childish.

Yeah, I think this is the most accurate thing here so far. It's hard not to guess and wish, but we do and then are disappointed.

Given it's already February and there's been no more word of a March release, I'm finding myself believing it will be much later in the year.

I'd really like to see them make new videos for some of the old songs that don't have one. I think they could come up with some amazing videos!

^I would go as far as to say that Rammstein is already a urban myth.

The time goes by... and no news, no DVD, no new album, only more holidays or other projects.

I hope I'll be the Lindemann's fan number one (or Lindemann biggest fan LBF), because the wait is going to be very long .

Yes, I do have to admit that it's a little far fetched too assume something just by hearing it mentioned in a by-the-way sentence from an interview. People change their mind all the time, and in the case of Rammstein that certainley fits. However, I usually tend to get quite bored whenever I am waiting for news from my favorite director, band etc. therefore I just make crazy theories for people to discuss.

I appreciate how isolated and private the Rammstein members are, in the sense that they don't have for example Twitter and comment on every little insignificant thing that happens. However, you do have to admit that Rammstein's laziness when it comes to make announcements can be quite frustrating. Let's not forget that they announced and revealed their video collection from 2012 only 2 months before it was supposed to be released. Hell, for all we know they might start production on a new album next week, and don't tell us anything about it until we all the sudden find one afternoon a new Rammstein CD in the store! ( Heavy sarcasm intended)

I don't think they would go on tour without new album. But they are Rammstein so you never know. Of course I hope they will go on tour, because then I can see them live again. In my opinion they need some new songs, the old ones are amazing but they can't just play them again and again for years.
I also feel like the DVD is going to delay. Again. March is so soon.
