FORUM RULES ABOUT WEB-BASED LINKS TO MUSIC AND VIDEO'S

Based on latest discussions on this forum, and studiing copyright laws, it is necessary to state out new forum mandatory rules, effective immediately, so, here we are.

LINKS TO MUSIC & VIDEOS: what is legal/what is not.
NEW RULES in the forum state:

From now on in our forum users shal NOT POST TOPICS THAT containin the following :
• Requests for or links to MP3s, music videos, or other files of questionable legality
• Bootlegs

So, please do not POST A LINK TO music or videos which does not directly originate from an officially legal site.

An OFFICIALLY LEGAL SITE is: rammstein.com or rammstein.de, universal music, a legitimate music site like MTV or VIVA. The links must be direct and linked only to the approved site. Any links which have copied and transferred the music or videos from an official legal site to ANYWHERE else are NOT OFFICIAL.

• Do not ASK FOR A LINK to music or videos. If there is a legal site for either listening or viewing, xTERNAL will provide the information in the NEWS section of www.RAMMSTEIN-EUROPE.com.

WHAT YOU CAN DO in the forums: You can DISCUSS a new song or a new video.

WHAT YOU CANNOT DO in the forums: provide illegal links or ask for links, give directions of any kind as to where something might be found (examples: file-sharing, other fansites, etc.). Screen caps will be allowed (within reason) AFTER a video has been made available through an OFFICIAL LEGAL LINK. Fan remixes of songs will be allowed (within reason) after the song has been officially released.

The above restrictions are necessary not because we are being “damn babies” or “. The reason is simply that RAMMSTEIN-EUROPE has made the decision to not be a facilitator of illegal activities involving copyrighted material. The reason for that is also clear. Rammstein’s Management has shown aggressive behaviour in combating copyright infringement.

Anyone who violates the spirit of the aforementioned expansion/explanation of what the RULES mean here as applied to music and videos (and this also includes the "making of videos") will meet up with one of the following consequences:

POST BLOCKED, LINK ERASED AND WORSE.... BANNED IF NECESSARY.

If you have ANY questions about what may or may not be acceptable here, you can always PM a Moderator and ask first before posting something that might get you in trouble here.

•any links to www.youtube.com (or other sharing sites of a similar nature)are generally not allowed.
While some videos like fan made items or spoof animations are allowed, we do not allow linking to youtube. Oftentimes there is/are illegal videos of Rammstein performances to the side of the linked videos. Actual Rammstein Videos which are very illegal to be hosted by that site - therefore we cannot allow links to youtube to be allowed.

So, links to youtube are now allowed - ONLY IF it is a fanmade video by you, and does not contain bootleg footage or footage of live performances or released performances. Stills from photos found on the net are OK. A montage is OK. Clips of released footage are NOT OK.

Please try to understand that sometimes while we may allow a certain individuals fanmade videos, and deny another persons it is usually because the content in it could get the forums in trouble.

Also if some individuals post their fanmade video and it turns out to be bootleg footage that they filmed themselves at a concert and consider that "fanmade" - then we will have to reverse the ruling on allowing fanmade videos PERIOD!

Here is an update on what is considered "fanmade".
Fanmade is fanmade. You did it yourself. Like cut and paste. You creatd everything yourself. No footage filmed by someone else no clips. Still images are OK.
For example:
If you go out and find 6 banana slugs in the yard, dress them up in LAB outfits, and put the skinniest one in a paper boat and play the music to SEEMANN on a kazoo. That is fanmade.

If you have a coverband and you do your own video or you have footage of YOUR band's performance. That is fanmade.

If you have images that you sketched of how you think the video for a song should have been and you put it to music - I think we can allow that.

Use your creativity.

IF YOU SEE VIOLATION OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, REPORT IT BY USING THE EXCLAMATION MARK IN THE TOP RIGHT CORNER OF RELEVANT POST.

^Sharleena Spiteri gets on my tits in that song :/ but I stumbled across a live version of the song which was actually pretty good

I find Pussy to be a song that is easily remembered. I have one friend who hates metal music (including R+) but knows half of the lyrics of pussy....it's rather amusing when she doesn't realise she's singing it

I love the album and I love the way the band take the mick out of themselves in the pussy video, but more so watching pussy live.
There are historically only two R+ songs I'm not keen on, and they are "Stirb Nicht Vor Mir" (I fucking hate the female vocal), and I've never been sure about "Der Meister", the guitars are great, but the keyboard sounds too much like bloody bagpipes for my liking.

^Thats exactly what I would like to happen. I did notice the move towards more heavy metal-oriented music, but I don't think it was a very brave one. Or even well executed.

I gotta say, I think you're too much drawn in to the "newer stuff sucks" mentality, just like everyone did with Metallica back when they came out with Load. That's only my opinion though. To me, LIFAD wasn't a sellout album, it was a move towards more heavy metal-oriented music rather than dance-metal like Herzeleid. I thought it was a really good album.

Songs like "Pussy" fall in with that weird sense of humor the band has, and "Haifisch" has so many meanings if you're willing to take it apart. And complaining about four years between albums? A band doesn't need to churn stuff out to be good.

Honestly, I think you're just jaded with this album since you've been a fan for so long, but again, that's just how I feel about your original post. If their next album is a step back in the direction of Mutter and Sehnsucht, you just might be suprised.

Well, what I really think about Pussy is that it was the perfect choice for them to come back. I remember counting the days when I read about their new video coming after like four years and when it came... It was shocking and badass, even with the cheesy refrain.
But if there wasn't a video to go with, the song would be the weakest part of the album indeed.

I agree with cannibal_wotsit, since it's far from their best works.

I hope MAG consists of a mixture of songs released as singles and songs that were not. While I am not -for want of a better term- a pussy basher, I'd rather it be left out just so there's more chance for the others

Maybe it's overrated, but I still like it :'D I agree, Waidmanns Heil should have been released as a single instead of, IMO, Pussy :S

^I think ITDW is overrated and wiadmanns heil is better. It should have been a single instead of Pussy or Haifisch

Hehe, I get your point - but I guess that I'll never be able to even just like Pussy xD The only thing I kinda like about the video is, that it kinda takes the piss out of ALL these half-pornographic videos you see on MTV and such nowadays - so the message would be "go all the way instead of just halfway, bitches!" xD

I love both of them lyrically, so I can't choose here - but I think that I prefer Roter Sand musically, since there's hardly no music in Ein Lied (at least not IMO) ;D

Yeah I agree, Waidmanns Heil's awesome too - maybe actually a bit more awesome than ITDW :'D

I like the shallowness of pussy, it kinda proves that they have no problems taking the piss out of themselves.

Ein lied is better than Roter sand but it is one of my favourite songs overall so I'm pretty biased

ITDW is amazing, but IMO waidmann's heil is better :S

Ehh, thank you - I guess? :'D But no matter what, then I kind of agree with Snake on Pussy - I just feel so embarrassed about how shallow it is, because I know that Rammstein can do better than that ;D

Well, when I listened to LIFAD the very first time, then Roter Sand was actually the song that touched me the most - so beautiful and yet so tragic :'(
And Ein Lied has a lovely lyric - dedicated to us, the fans :')

    Hehe, ITDW rocks! :'D

Well I'm the total opposite. I really like Pussy and Roter Sand is my last favourite on LIFAD.
While I loved Ein Lied, somehow I just can't feel the same for RS.
    BTW, ITDW FTW!

Maybe your review of LIFAD is quite harsh, but I respect that it's your opinion ;D I personally think that it's a good album, but I'm still trying to get used to it :'D I think that it's because of the fact that the songs are so varied + that Pussy kind of destroys the whole album for me (in my opinion it's their worst song to date!) x'D So maybe it's the album that I like the least, but I don't hate it :'D
But I totally disagree with that their so-called ballads usually suck - in my opinion it's usually their most brilliant songs, especially lyrically Of course they have a lot of brilliant powerful songs too :'D
LOL, if you actually did sell your concert-ticket, then you really must hate this album! x'D
