I took the time to learn the vast majority of there songs on guitar and I figured out they use a pattern and that pattern is used for actually a large number of their songs. The pattern is like this: for example.. Buck dich, the notes on guitar are d,f,e and g with the d# played for the breakdown and end but i dont count that in the pattern. The pattern in buck dich is like d,e,f,g and it can apply to anywhere on the guitar neck, If you have a guitar you'll know what i mean XD that pattern is used in a ton of there songs like Buck dich, Wollt ihr das Bett in Flammen sehen, Tier, Mein teil etc.. granted its not used on every song but its widely used on Herzeleid and Sehnsucht, and some songs on there later albums too! Ive been trying it write my own riffs from it but im not as creative as Paul or Richard :3 some here try it and let me know how you get on !

Ill try to get a picture to show the pattern hahaIf you take your guitar and lower the tune of the 6th string from E to D, and here you got drop D tune: D,A,D,G,B,E. Surely you know that, but perhaps others don't. This is a simple way of imitating the style of bands like White Zombie and Marilyn Manson, over all. "The beautiful people" of Marylin Manson, is quite close in guitar style to Rammstein's music, and with the drop D tuning is as simple as...:

Then, it is the tempo. tum tum/ tumtumtum tum/ tum tum/ tumtumtum tum... and you are playing Ich tu dir weh
Keep it simple, it is how it is!. Pentatonic and major scales do half of your work. Major chords for power songs, minor chords for the most intense songs (Seemann). The rest, you will work it out. But this is a very short way of getting their style in simple ten minutes.
Record some music, and then we discuss it!
