could anyone get the lyrics of the demo of Pussy? its entirely different if im right
the singing is better too, as it wouldnt have fit the later lyrics if it stayed that emotional-ishh =o
i think it wuld have been better to leave it that way...
i still think its pretty good musically though, i mean the last, or more like album version, but the lyrics are like ... well yeap kindof like a joke, like if they threw it together in some hours at most

The lyrics of that demo can be found on http://lyricstranslate.com/en/was-ic...demo-song.html. It is indeed the superior version of the whole Pussy-project. I like Pussy as well (pun not intended), but I'd liked it if they put the demo as an alternative version on the extra CD.

Just a wee thought on Liese:

Liese has a similar instrumental arrangement to Roter Sand (Orchester Version) so I imagine alot of you consider Liese as another version of Roter Sand

I do not, but I find it annoying they used the whistling. If they had removed the whistling they could have had Liese sound like a very different song from Roter Sand. OK, they have similar tunes and the overall song melody is very similar but Liese uses the orchestral arrangements and Roter Sand Does not.

Basically what I mean is that Liese to me is a song in its own right; it just happens to have simlar music to Roter Sand (like Stein um Stein and Rosenrot have similar guitar riffs). I just think had they removed the whistling it would be its very own song with only Roter Sand (Orchester Version) providing a bridge between the two.

What does everyone else think about this?

Liese would indeed lose lots of its similarity to Roter Sand if that whistling was left out. But I like it how it is. That whistling gives it something peasant-boyisch-sort of happines-thing which is again that typical great contradicting that Rammstein often does (like military Links-music, Haifisch clip vs. lyrics). But it shouldn't been seen as the little brother of Roter Sand, I follow you there. The lyrics are more interesting anyway (more original, more well-overthought), IMO. I listen to it more than Roter Sand.

I agree with you, the whistling gives the song an innocent charm. And it is an awesome song. Roter Sand has a kind of drama to it, Liese seems melancholy as if it is a loss of something irreplacable that's being sung about. I have just always felt that the whistling should have been cut. But there is an interview with Paul somewhere that describes the song as Roter Sand's progeny. So we are left with what Rammstein have decided to give us as a product

Are there any thoughts by anyone about the other tracks on the 2nd album of Lifad? Much has been said about Liese and Roter Sand, but for me Donaukinder is the real significant addition, if not revelation! The lyrics are ace, Flake does a great job (especially at the beginning, evoking that atmosphere), we get a actual solo (!!!) and Till has one of his better ballad moments.

A lot of people enjoy Donaukinder, I like it but it is not my favourite but I generally don't like slow songs - I prefer Fuhre mich and Halt I do like how they have more Flake in the bonus songs though - but that has permeated LIFAD. my least favourite of the 5 bonus tracks is Roter Sand. I also have Rammlied (Thrash-terpiece Remix) but that's just Rammlied with a thrash drum and guitar track added its what would happen if machine head and rammstein played the song live together
