Based on latest discussions on this forum, and studiing copyright laws, it is necessary to state out new forum mandatory rules, effective immediately, so, here we are.

LINKS TO MUSIC & VIDEOS: what is legal/what is not.
NEW RULES in the forum state:

From now on in our forum users shal NOT POST TOPICS THAT containin the following :
• Requests for or links to MP3s, music videos, or other files of questionable legality
• Bootlegs

So, please do not POST A LINK TO music or videos which does not directly originate from an officially legal site.

An OFFICIALLY LEGAL SITE is: or, universal music, a legitimate music site like MTV or VIVA. The links must be direct and linked only to the approved site. Any links which have copied and transferred the music or videos from an official legal site to ANYWHERE else are NOT OFFICIAL.

• Do not ASK FOR A LINK to music or videos. If there is a legal site for either listening or viewing, xTERNAL will provide the information in the NEWS section of

WHAT YOU CAN DO in the forums: You can DISCUSS a new song or a new video.

WHAT YOU CANNOT DO in the forums: provide illegal links or ask for links, give directions of any kind as to where something might be found (examples: file-sharing, other fansites, etc.). Screen caps will be allowed (within reason) AFTER a video has been made available through an OFFICIAL LEGAL LINK. Fan remixes of songs will be allowed (within reason) after the song has been officially released.

The above restrictions are necessary not because we are being “damn babies” or “. The reason is simply that RAMMSTEIN-EUROPE has made the decision to not be a facilitator of illegal activities involving copyrighted material. The reason for that is also clear. Rammstein’s Management has shown aggressive behaviour in combating copyright infringement.

Anyone who violates the spirit of the aforementioned expansion/explanation of what the RULES mean here as applied to music and videos (and this also includes the "making of videos") will meet up with one of the following consequences:

If you have ANY questions about what may or may not be acceptable here, you can always PM a Moderator and ask first before posting something that might get you in trouble here.

•any links to (or other sharing sites of a similar nature)are generally not allowed.
While some videos like fan made items or spoof animations are allowed, we do not allow linking to youtube. Oftentimes there is/are illegal videos of Rammstein performances to the side of the linked videos. Actual Rammstein Videos which are very illegal to be hosted by that site - therefore we cannot allow links to youtube to be allowed.

So, links to youtube are now allowed - ONLY IF it is a fanmade video by you, and does not contain bootleg footage or footage of live performances or released performances. Stills from photos found on the net are OK. A montage is OK. Clips of released footage are NOT OK.

Please try to understand that sometimes while we may allow a certain individuals fanmade videos, and deny another persons it is usually because the content in it could get the forums in trouble.

Also if some individuals post their fanmade video and it turns out to be bootleg footage that they filmed themselves at a concert and consider that "fanmade" - then we will have to reverse the ruling on allowing fanmade videos PERIOD!

Here is an update on what is considered "fanmade".
Fanmade is fanmade. You did it yourself. Like cut and paste. You creatd everything yourself. No footage filmed by someone else no clips. Still images are OK.
For example:
If you go out and find 6 banana slugs in the yard, dress them up in LAB outfits, and put the skinniest one in a paper boat and play the music to SEEMANN on a kazoo. That is fanmade.

If you have a coverband and you do your own video or you have footage of YOUR band's performance. That is fanmade.

If you have images that you sketched of how you think the video for a song should have been and you put it to music - I think we can allow that.

Use your creativity.

Ten years being obsessed? ... Age is not important... Look at our duchess, dancing in the news... (vaya tela)

I think 10 years is long enough to call it an obsession, my son and daughter are used to it and think i am a real nutter but find it very amusing.

              Your duchess is brilliant!!

I was around 12 or 13 when I saw Du Hast on MTV and I pretty much got into them immediately from there. I bought Herzeleid and Sehnsucht and Live Aus Berlin. I even bought some bootleg with the singles of Kokain and whatnot. I adored Mutter and Reise Reise, but I kind of lost interest with Rosenrot.
Coming back because I got tickets to see them in Dallas in May. Can't say I like LIFAD really, but the videos are good at least. Same with Mein land.

Believe it or not, I didn't even get into Rammstein until about 3 years ago. You must know, I am a native German, 47 years old and have been living in the US for almost 19 years now. I've heard of them back in the day, but at that time I listened to classic rock since that's what I grew up with. LOL what I did hear of them I wrote off as crap at that time.

It wasn't until early 2000s when we went to a Creed concert, which completely changed my interest in music. Started listening to Metallica, Staind, STP etc. and of course Creed. Over time and with the emergence of LastFM I really got into the hard rock, alternative and metal scene. That's when I started to listen to Rammstein. Then some others in the German scene, such as Silbermond, Eisbrecher, Unheilig and Chrstina Stürmer).

I took this of another post of mine. If you want to read more look at my post under "Predominantly shocking, funny, insightful, none of the above?" from Saeda.

In Kuntspark Ost in Munich in 2001 I discovered Rammstein playing the old Depeche Mode song Stripped in a way that blew away Depeche Mode, and I love the "Mode too. That was the very start...

Here's to the old club ZOOM (RIP) in Munich and to Rammstein too...

1999, i was 17 and i heard Engel first... fell in love with the chorus and then Buck dich, which shocked me first. But only after first seeing them live in 2010 did i understand that i'm not dealing with a mere rock band, but with a real art phenomenon. I'm still convinced of that.

I have listened to Rammstein about ten years, thanks to my brother! He listened to feuer frei one day and that's it! I fell in love. He helped me to find the worlds most wonderful and lovable band and here i am now! I listen to their music every day and often find myself singing along. Well, that's over the subject but anyway ...And i can tell that it really was the happiest day of my life when i saw them live last month. That was absolutely amazing.

First heard of them performing 'ich will' live on MTV Europe awards. Can't remember the year but wow, hooked!

I first got to know them when I was 14 and got the album Mutter from my eldest brother. I was still in my hip hop days, so I didn't really care for this music. But as it was new, and my brother told me it was really ace, I gave it a chance. Thank god for that! I was sold immediately and listened constantly to the record for like a year. It made me appreciate other rock as well and turned me away from hip hop into rock (like Nirvana, GNR, Metallica, Iron Maiden etc.). My interest in the band only increased from than on, and today I can happily tell that they're my nr. 1 band.

                                ohno =o

i dont know how but i guess i was the only one who was never ever into that easier/simpler kind of music. even the very old console games i played had was better music than mainstream stuffs (and mainstream wasnt as bad as now either[they still played stuff like Sweet Dreams and What is love in radio])
and those trends like tecktonic were so horrible that i would never ever have considered to like them

i first heard Rammstein when my brother's friend gave a cd to him with some singles and others on it from them with some text files with nottoogood hungarian translations included. (it had "Hitler" instead of Sonne though. ehh). back then i didnt even have internet so i only kept listening to those stuffs that were on it. then later when i had it and saw a live performance of them on some kind of music channel i started getting more into them :O
so well yeap. thats how i got into them. i guess i heard Feuer Frei in xXx before that or something but that didnt influence me much
before this i never listened specifically to one band. and i guess The Offspring was the only one i knew more songs from. had some Nirvana songs too
