FORUM RULES ABOUT WEB-BASED LINKS TO MUSIC AND VIDEO'S

Based on latest discussions on this forum, and studiing copyright laws, it is necessary to state out new forum mandatory rules, effective immediately, so, here we are.

LINKS TO MUSIC & VIDEOS: what is legal/what is not.
NEW RULES in the forum state:

From now on in our forum users shal NOT POST TOPICS THAT containin the following :
• Requests for or links to MP3s, music videos, or other files of questionable legality
• Bootlegs

So, please do not POST A LINK TO music or videos which does not directly originate from an officially legal site.

An OFFICIALLY LEGAL SITE is: rammstein.com or rammstein.de, universal music, a legitimate music site like MTV or VIVA. The links must be direct and linked only to the approved site. Any links which have copied and transferred the music or videos from an official legal site to ANYWHERE else are NOT OFFICIAL.

• Do not ASK FOR A LINK to music or videos. If there is a legal site for either listening or viewing, xTERNAL will provide the information in the NEWS section of www.RAMMSTEIN-EUROPE.com.

WHAT YOU CAN DO in the forums: You can DISCUSS a new song or a new video.

WHAT YOU CANNOT DO in the forums: provide illegal links or ask for links, give directions of any kind as to where something might be found (examples: file-sharing, other fansites, etc.). Screen caps will be allowed (within reason) AFTER a video has been made available through an OFFICIAL LEGAL LINK. Fan remixes of songs will be allowed (within reason) after the song has been officially released.

The above restrictions are necessary not because we are being “damn babies” or “. The reason is simply that RAMMSTEIN-EUROPE has made the decision to not be a facilitator of illegal activities involving copyrighted material. The reason for that is also clear. Rammstein’s Management has shown aggressive behaviour in combating copyright infringement.

Anyone who violates the spirit of the aforementioned expansion/explanation of what the RULES mean here as applied to music and videos (and this also includes the "making of videos") will meet up with one of the following consequences:

POST BLOCKED, LINK ERASED AND WORSE.... BANNED IF NECESSARY.

If you have ANY questions about what may or may not be acceptable here, you can always PM a Moderator and ask first before posting something that might get you in trouble here.

•any links to www.youtube.com (or other sharing sites of a similar nature)are generally not allowed.
While some videos like fan made items or spoof animations are allowed, we do not allow linking to youtube. Oftentimes there is/are illegal videos of Rammstein performances to the side of the linked videos. Actual Rammstein Videos which are very illegal to be hosted by that site - therefore we cannot allow links to youtube to be allowed.

So, links to youtube are now allowed - ONLY IF it is a fanmade video by you, and does not contain bootleg footage or footage of live performances or released performances. Stills from photos found on the net are OK. A montage is OK. Clips of released footage are NOT OK.

Please try to understand that sometimes while we may allow a certain individuals fanmade videos, and deny another persons it is usually because the content in it could get the forums in trouble.

Also if some individuals post their fanmade video and it turns out to be bootleg footage that they filmed themselves at a concert and consider that "fanmade" - then we will have to reverse the ruling on allowing fanmade videos PERIOD!

Here is an update on what is considered "fanmade".
Fanmade is fanmade. You did it yourself. Like cut and paste. You creatd everything yourself. No footage filmed by someone else no clips. Still images are OK.
For example:
If you go out and find 6 banana slugs in the yard, dress them up in LAB outfits, and put the skinniest one in a paper boat and play the music to SEEMANN on a kazoo. That is fanmade.

If you have a coverband and you do your own video or you have footage of YOUR band's performance. That is fanmade.

If you have images that you sketched of how you think the video for a song should have been and you put it to music - I think we can allow that.

Use your creativity.

IF YOU SEE VIOLATION OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, REPORT IT BY USING THE EXCLAMATION MARK IN THE TOP RIGHT CORNER OF RELEVANT POST.

        • Rammstein have announced a visit to London to meet fans and sign copies of their latest audio / visual extravaganza, ‘Rammstein Paris’, released May 19th via Spinefarm Records.

This rare event will take place in central London, at the historic Café De Paris in London's West End.

          Full details as follows:-

          Signing times:
          24th May from 6:00pm to 8:00pm

          Venue:
          Café de Paris
          3 Coventry St.
          London
          W1D 6BL

          Closest tube stations:
          Piccadilly Circus / Leicester Square

Please carefully read the guidelines below:

          - Those wishing to attend the signing may queue outside the venue from 5PM on the day of the event and will be given a wristband to guarantee your entry. Entry is limited and wristbands will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.

          - As this is a heavily pedestrianized area, and out of courtesy to neighboring businesses, please do not queue before 5PM.

          - As Rammstein wish to meet as many fans as possible, they will not be able to pose for photographs or sign more than one item per person.

          - Copies of Rammstein Paris will be available to purchase at the event.

As for wether or not the pace was a mistake of the band, I think we'll need to wait for RP to be released and check if the editor for RP was the same on as RiA. If it is the same one (and I suspect it is, because there is reseamblance of editing between the two) than the band hired a lousy editor. But if the editor isn't the same person, than I am going to get convinced that the band is giving bad notes and demands, and have no fucking idea what they are doing.
Richard actually said in an interview that "Rammstein: Paris" was the first time the band completely let go of their control, and let someone else take the wheel. On a few occasions, the band would ask Jonas to do some changes, but overall they let Åkerlund be in charge. Richard even concluded by saying "I'm not 100% behind the film" and also saying "I this film is polarising".

              • "I'm not 100% behind the film"
adding, "maybe because it's the first time I'm not in control." ;-)

                  • I went to see this in cinema a couple months back and it was okay, so I bought the blu-ray now.

This second time i didn't like it so much. Some of the effects are still cool (mostly the slow motion images and some of the added sound effects), but some of the effects bothered me a lot more this time, like Till's snake tongue, the band members black eyes and keyboard lightnings. They serve absolutely no purpose at all. The biggest problem of course is the fast editing, which was a little annoying in the cinema version, but with this 2 hour show I just started to count how many songs there still are remaining, hoping the show to end already. It's really frustrating to watch that kind of editing for this long.

I wonder how much Rammsein: Paris will sell and what kind of reviews it will get. To be honest, I hope it will not sell much and get mediocre reviews at best. Then we have a change to a normal DVD next time.

Giving the control of the DVD to someone else and touring with the same setlist and show as previous year makes me wonder how much motivation the band has these days. After two disappointments in a row with this DVD and the upcoming tours setlist, I no longer have very high expectations of the new album.

                    • Just watched it again. I think it's one of their best releases to date, it really shows the...show? Anyway, I dig the slow-mo's, the close ups, even some of the added effects. The things i don't like are the sparks for flake and the added voice for till during Mein Teil, Till's great enough by himself. I didn't expect Amerika to be so good, the lightshow looks beautiful!

                        • My vinyl set arrived yesterday and absolutely gutted. The box is damaged as the Rammsteinshop did not appropriately package the item. It must have dropped in transit and a corner was damaged. I have contacted the shop but I doubt they will replace as they are sold out! And everywhere else is selling out too! Why the fuck did they not bubble wrap it? They are shipping it to Australia: its travelling almost half way around the world - bubble wrap should be a fucking given!

and I was really looking forward to listening to the album on my drive to work tomorrow

Maybe it's something horrific to say, but I'd just download it. I mean, you already bought the album, and I guess you'd buy the next one too.

                              • I have sorted the problem, a company called Mighty Ape in New Zealand will have stock so I have pre - ordered with them (not due to be released until 6/6/17 here). They have been good and apparently have great postage times and pack well. RammsteinShop will accept the return, it wasn't major damage but it was still the principle: I take good care of my Rammstein stuff - my rosenrot and Reise Reise albums are in great condition and I have had them since they were released!

if I'm going to have damaged items it should be my fault due to my stupidity and not due to a company's error.

anyway I won't download yet as I don't like Spotify and my car's blue tooth signal gives funny sound - also why I will never use Bluetooth headphones but that's a rant for another time!
