^"Youtube" does have increasingly strict guidelines for what content they allow. I think they wanted the "Pussy" video and the "Making-of" available somewhere, and the chose "Vimeo", a website which is a lot more relaxed. Why they chose the Lindemann account is strange. Have they forgotten the password for the Rammstein account?

That being said, if I wanted to watch the "Pussy"-video, I usually went to Jonas Åkerlund's website. Here you can find a slightly altered "Director's cut" which is uncensored and in decent quality. Besides that, easiest solution was of course to simply turn on the Blu-Ray of their music video collection which I have.

Money and label issues, I would guess. I don't know how much profit Rammstein in Amerika made, but if it wasn't enough, they might take a bit more time to handle this in a more tactical way or so, in order to deliver a more succesfull product this time (e.g. make more profit). Since Völkerball the Rammstein DVD's look like they've cost a lot to make, so the DVD has to make up for a lot.
Also the label industry might create difficulties. The demands they ask and the time they take to sign corporate contracts and give their permission to go on with the deal can take a lot of time, while bands have no authority to do anything yet. In the past those things were less problematic than now, but the last decade these things have become hell for big bands (Guns N' Roses and Metallica struggled with similar cases, and still do). I know true stories about records being delayed for more than 2 years just because of that.

I'm still confused over the delay. I mean.. why? As Chrisss Nofff said these releases were most probably completed a while back.

If we ever get an answer, it will be just a rumour or a guess. R+ never seem to explain their actions or non-actions. Jonas might in some interview give a hint of an explanation, but I doubt it.

And yes: I put my trust in the bonus-material to justify the wait.

I know they probably wanted to wait until the 2016 shows were over but this Fall would have been the perfect release schedule. People would still buzzed about the recent shows. It doesn't take 5 years to edit a show for release. 'Lab' and 'Volkerball' were released around 16 months after the actual show. Volkerball also had a lot of bonus live content (and all of those shows were probably edited in full before deciding what to use).

Just seems a little silly to release both 'In Amerika' and 'Paris' 5 years after the shows. The bonus content better be worth the wait

Try being a Guns N' Roses fan:
- After 1995 the band didn't release anything for 4 years (1 song appeared on a soundtrack in 1999). After that it took 9 years for the next release.
- After 1993 they didn't tour for almost 8 years
- For their last album they took 16 years, which is already 8 years ago now (and now their plans are "we're going to tour some more")
- People wanted a reunion, which happened after 22 years

I agree with you on the fact that many bands do release a lot fewer products and tour a lot less than Rammstein. My complaints might go more towards the lable and the managment, who seemingly keep delaying the release of products which are completely finished. Richard actually recently said that "Rammstein in Amerika" was finished a while ago, but the band was just waiting for the movie to get a release date.

I know it's pointless to get frustrated over this, but for fans waiting feels like an eternity.

Some weeks ago I saw an empty playlist at Rammstein's Youtube-channel. The playlist was called "Albums". The moment I refreshed the page it was gone. My guess was that they would upload their entire discography on Youtube like many other bands.

I forgot to write about this earlier. I felt this was not worth writing about here, because I thought they would have everything uploaded the following day. However, today I remembered that they haven't done anything about it. Like all things Rammstein, I guess this will take a looooooooooooooooooong time.

I can see the videos you mention you can't. So I think it's a YT-bug, not a Ramm-management think. If it were, they would remove all the concert-footage.

But many of the videos have been in Youtube for years, and had millions of views. Does Rammstein management have a marking on their calendar every 5 years that "Today is the day for 5-yearly Youtube-cleanup!"

I would just be fun to know what are the reasons behind this. Is it just pure greed? Of course, music business is no charity, but still it's very difficult to think that old Youtube-content could be a significant financial loss. Specially when you think about the increase in band popularity, and the profit it makes eventually. I guess we never find out.
