FORUM RULES ABOUT WEB-BASED LINKS TO MUSIC AND VIDEO'S

Based on latest discussions on this forum, and studiing copyright laws, it is necessary to state out new forum mandatory rules, effective immediately, so, here we are.

LINKS TO MUSIC & VIDEOS: what is legal/what is not.
NEW RULES in the forum state:

From now on in our forum users shal NOT POST TOPICS THAT containin the following :
• Requests for or links to MP3s, music videos, or other files of questionable legality
• Bootlegs

So, please do not POST A LINK TO music or videos which does not directly originate from an officially legal site.

An OFFICIALLY LEGAL SITE is: rammstein.com or rammstein.de, universal music, a legitimate music site like MTV or VIVA. The links must be direct and linked only to the approved site. Any links which have copied and transferred the music or videos from an official legal site to ANYWHERE else are NOT OFFICIAL.

• Do not ASK FOR A LINK to music or videos. If there is a legal site for either listening or viewing, xTERNAL will provide the information in the NEWS section of www.RAMMSTEIN-EUROPE.com.

WHAT YOU CAN DO in the forums: You can DISCUSS a new song or a new video.

WHAT YOU CANNOT DO in the forums: provide illegal links or ask for links, give directions of any kind as to where something might be found (examples: file-sharing, other fansites, etc.). Screen caps will be allowed (within reason) AFTER a video has been made available through an OFFICIAL LEGAL LINK. Fan remixes of songs will be allowed (within reason) after the song has been officially released.

The above restrictions are necessary not because we are being “damn babies” or “. The reason is simply that RAMMSTEIN-EUROPE has made the decision to not be a facilitator of illegal activities involving copyrighted material. The reason for that is also clear. Rammstein’s Management has shown aggressive behaviour in combating copyright infringement.

Anyone who violates the spirit of the aforementioned expansion/explanation of what the RULES mean here as applied to music and videos (and this also includes the "making of videos") will meet up with one of the following consequences:

POST BLOCKED, LINK ERASED AND WORSE.... BANNED IF NECESSARY.

If you have ANY questions about what may or may not be acceptable here, you can always PM a Moderator and ask first before posting something that might get you in trouble here.

•any links to www.youtube.com (or other sharing sites of a similar nature)are generally not allowed.
While some videos like fan made items or spoof animations are allowed, we do not allow linking to youtube. Oftentimes there is/are illegal videos of Rammstein performances to the side of the linked videos. Actual Rammstein Videos which are very illegal to be hosted by that site - therefore we cannot allow links to youtube to be allowed.

So, links to youtube are now allowed - ONLY IF it is a fanmade video by you, and does not contain bootleg footage or footage of live performances or released performances. Stills from photos found on the net are OK. A montage is OK. Clips of released footage are NOT OK.

Please try to understand that sometimes while we may allow a certain individuals fanmade videos, and deny another persons it is usually because the content in it could get the forums in trouble.

Also if some individuals post their fanmade video and it turns out to be bootleg footage that they filmed themselves at a concert and consider that "fanmade" - then we will have to reverse the ruling on allowing fanmade videos PERIOD!

Here is an update on what is considered "fanmade".
Fanmade is fanmade. You did it yourself. Like cut and paste. You creatd everything yourself. No footage filmed by someone else no clips. Still images are OK.
For example:
If you go out and find 6 banana slugs in the yard, dress them up in LAB outfits, and put the skinniest one in a paper boat and play the music to SEEMANN on a kazoo. That is fanmade.

If you have a coverband and you do your own video or you have footage of YOUR band's performance. That is fanmade.

If you have images that you sketched of how you think the video for a song should have been and you put it to music - I think we can allow that.

Use your creativity.

IF YOU SEE VIOLATION OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, REPORT IT BY USING THE EXCLAMATION MARK IN THE TOP RIGHT CORNER OF RELEVANT POST.

  • Bye summer, so they'll be back at work!!!

    • Wow! I really did not expect them actually going back to record new stuff so soon! Looks like we might actually get a new album after all.

      • I'm not sure that will be soon, they take their time for new releases.

        • The thing we have to consider is their schedule. Right now we have 2021 dates and the 2019 live DVD to release (if they still use that recording). It's a sad sad possibility that large scale shows next year could again be postponed/cancelled. So let's say the 2021 shows go as planned and they release the live DVD at the end of 2021 for the Christmas market.. we wouldn't see a new album before 2022. I don't think labels like too many major releases close together from the same artist.

IF the shows are postponed again to 2022 this will either push back the album again or make the band create a new show including songs from the new album. That's my guess anyway.

          • This situation changes everything. Maybe they could release the DVD this Christmas but I’ve got the feeling that they won’t release it until the tour ends

To be honest, I doubt the band is doing any long-term planning. I still believe that the 2021 tour will be the same show as the 2019 shows, and they will probably shoot a concert film in 2021. If the 2021 tour cannot take place, I believe it will be cancelled completely. At that point the cost of putting the show on hold is probably too big. Luckily the band filmed the two shows in Vienna (although maybe not with a concert film in mind).

The release of the new material will probably depend on what the band plans. If it's just a 4-6 song EP, we might get it in early 2021 before the tour. If it's a full album, it will probably take longer.

I am starting to think that this is what they are going to do: Release the live dvd by christmas, release a new album in 2021 by April/May (thus making exactly 2 years since the untitled album) and then update their show with songs from the new album.

After all, nothing is better than eternal happiness, and a ham sandwich is certainly better than nothing. Therefore a ham sandwich is better than eternal happiness."

People bought tickets for the Untitled-tour, so that's exactly what they're going to get, IMO. They won't risk releasing something many people might not like, and then replace songs from the tour they actually wanted to see by songs they might not like as much. Or just didn't pay for. Can you imagine buying Rosenrot-tickets and end up with a (half-) LIFAD concert XD?

I think all new material is going to end up in the vault for later. And with all the editing and mixing they have to do, I can't imagine it will see the light of day in 2020. They'll play the waiting game, though I would prefer they wouldn't.
The live DVD will probably wait for later, to shurrup the fans once the band's tired of touring.

And I presume the new record is going to be an EP, actually, something in the shadow of the current album with maybe even the same kind of artwork or something lockdown-themed. It might not even get a tour but just some gigs or maybe even a special show without audience. If so, they could do it in the meanwhile, as a break from this tour, but they'll have to play it well as a sort of lockdown-break within the Untitled area. That would be quite clever and original, but too good to be true.

I'm now more of a pessimist than Snake

                  • ^People didn't bought tickets for the untitled tour. They bought tickets for a Rammstein concert. The vast majority of the audience will not care which album really is represented.

                    • Probably Waidmann is right and they won’t release anything before the current tour ends, and they have south América and Australia,Asía, so many places to go... I’m sure the untitled album tour in stadios or not won’t finish soon. So if there is a new album, 2022?

                      • I could be wrong but I have a feeling they will announce some kind of celebration of 25 years since Herzeleid's release tomorrow. RammsteinWorld and RammWiki have been posting keyboard extracts from each song once a day for the last 11 days. Tomorrow is Friday (closest to the anniversary) and they seem to announce things on Fridays for whatever reason. Also they updated the Facebook cover pic with a video of a blue Herzeleid style flower as well as a new profile pic. Same for Twitter and YouTube.

Just unsure what it will be. I doubt they will rerelease the album.

                          • Some big but unconfirmed news:

The German tabloid paper "Bild" published an article claiming the band has 3 major projects in the works. Now the paper has gotten things wrong twice in the past (Till having Corona, and Rammstein's 2019 farewell tour), but there is some reason to believe that they are somewhat correct this time.

The first one was a new album currently being recorded in France. We already knew that, although we still have to wait for the announcment that it will be a full album.

The second news was "another" album. Although this was supposed to be some re-release connected to the 25 year anniversary to Herzeleid. Bild claims that the band is re-recording Herzeleid and intends to release it before the end of the year.

The third and most exciting one is a big and comprehensive Rammstein documentary. It will supposedly cover the bands early days, all the way to their most recent tour (or maybe beyond). This was actually confirmed by some of the other fanclubs (RammsteinWorld, RammWiki and RammsteinAustria). So I guess this was known in the circles around the band. Supposedly the documentary has been in the works for two years already.

                            • I am not sure how i feel about a re-recording of Herzeleid. I am absolutely sure that, in a technical level, its instrumental component will blow the original out of the water. But on the other hand, that album was created during a time where the band was really in state of anger that bled into their sound, and makes it an essential part of that album. In addition, I highly doubt that Till will, or even can reproduce the same singing style of the original - which again, fundamental to have that anger present throughout the music.

I bought a Bild-subscription just to read the original article. I think there has been some confusion in regards to the Herzeleid-re-release.

The article doesn't say anything about a re-recording, instead they just say "a new version with a fresher sound". So it's probably just a new remaster that is mixed and mastered a bit different.
