FORUM RULES ABOUT WEB-BASED LINKS TO MUSIC AND VIDEO'S

Based on latest discussions on this forum, and studiing copyright laws, it is necessary to state out new forum mandatory rules, effective immediately, so, here we are.

LINKS TO MUSIC & VIDEOS: what is legal/what is not.
NEW RULES in the forum state:

From now on in our forum users shal NOT POST TOPICS THAT containin the following :
• Requests for or links to MP3s, music videos, or other files of questionable legality
• Bootlegs

So, please do not POST A LINK TO music or videos which does not directly originate from an officially legal site.

An OFFICIALLY LEGAL SITE is: rammstein.com or rammstein.de, universal music, a legitimate music site like MTV or VIVA. The links must be direct and linked only to the approved site. Any links which have copied and transferred the music or videos from an official legal site to ANYWHERE else are NOT OFFICIAL.

• Do not ASK FOR A LINK to music or videos. If there is a legal site for either listening or viewing, xTERNAL will provide the information in the NEWS section of www.RAMMSTEIN-EUROPE.com.

WHAT YOU CAN DO in the forums: You can DISCUSS a new song or a new video.

WHAT YOU CANNOT DO in the forums: provide illegal links or ask for links, give directions of any kind as to where something might be found (examples: file-sharing, other fansites, etc.). Screen caps will be allowed (within reason) AFTER a video has been made available through an OFFICIAL LEGAL LINK. Fan remixes of songs will be allowed (within reason) after the song has been officially released.

The above restrictions are necessary not because we are being “damn babies” or “. The reason is simply that RAMMSTEIN-EUROPE has made the decision to not be a facilitator of illegal activities involving copyrighted material. The reason for that is also clear. Rammstein’s Management has shown aggressive behaviour in combating copyright infringement.

Anyone who violates the spirit of the aforementioned expansion/explanation of what the RULES mean here as applied to music and videos (and this also includes the "making of videos") will meet up with one of the following consequences:

POST BLOCKED, LINK ERASED AND WORSE.... BANNED IF NECESSARY.

If you have ANY questions about what may or may not be acceptable here, you can always PM a Moderator and ask first before posting something that might get you in trouble here.

•any links to www.youtube.com (or other sharing sites of a similar nature)are generally not allowed.
While some videos like fan made items or spoof animations are allowed, we do not allow linking to youtube. Oftentimes there is/are illegal videos of Rammstein performances to the side of the linked videos. Actual Rammstein Videos which are very illegal to be hosted by that site - therefore we cannot allow links to youtube to be allowed.

So, links to youtube are now allowed - ONLY IF it is a fanmade video by you, and does not contain bootleg footage or footage of live performances or released performances. Stills from photos found on the net are OK. A montage is OK. Clips of released footage are NOT OK.

Please try to understand that sometimes while we may allow a certain individuals fanmade videos, and deny another persons it is usually because the content in it could get the forums in trouble.

Also if some individuals post their fanmade video and it turns out to be bootleg footage that they filmed themselves at a concert and consider that "fanmade" - then we will have to reverse the ruling on allowing fanmade videos PERIOD!

Here is an update on what is considered "fanmade".
Fanmade is fanmade. You did it yourself. Like cut and paste. You creatd everything yourself. No footage filmed by someone else no clips. Still images are OK.
For example:
If you go out and find 6 banana slugs in the yard, dress them up in LAB outfits, and put the skinniest one in a paper boat and play the music to SEEMANN on a kazoo. That is fanmade.

If you have a coverband and you do your own video or you have footage of YOUR band's performance. That is fanmade.

If you have images that you sketched of how you think the video for a song should have been and you put it to music - I think we can allow that.

Use your creativity.

IF YOU SEE VIOLATION OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, REPORT IT BY USING THE EXCLAMATION MARK IN THE TOP RIGHT CORNER OF RELEVANT POST.

      • RZK has talked about the DVDs in an interview for the Polish magazine Teraz Rock. This is a "translation" of the article published by Rammstein Mexico about it.

RICHARD KRUSPE TALKS ABOUT THE DVDS
In a recent interview for the Polish magazine Teraz Rock, Richard Kruspe talked about the new album of Emigrate and shed some light on the release of the live DVDs.

“Rammstein for now is in a hiatus and all of us are doing other things. The keyboardist -Flake- is writing his book and Till -Lindemann- is recording his album. We meet once a year to come to agreements. This year (2015) we will release a new live album recorded in the MSG and also a documentary about Rammstein in America. Besides that, we will also release a DVD directed by Jonas Akerlund and recorded in Bercy -París- two years ago and it's totally different to the one of MSG”

The show of the Madison Square Garden was recorded on 11th December of 2010, after almost ten years of absence of Rammstein in the USA. The show represented a record for the band, because the tickets were completely sold out -more than 20,000 tickets- in less than 30 minutes. The director of the DVD was Matthew Ammos while the camera direction was in charge of Jimmy O´Donnell. The production of the show, and the documentary was in charge of Done & Dusted, They had already worked with the band in “Live aus Berlin” and “Völkeball”.

        • I can't bring myself to take seriously anything related to the DVD anymore. I'll believe it when they finally decide to announce somerthing.
"Which is better, eternal happiness or a ham sandwich? It would appear that eternal happiness is better, but this is really not so! After all, nothing is better than eternal happiness, and a ham sandwich is certainly better than nothing. Therefore a ham sandwich is better than eternal happiness."

          • ^ You probably won't even believe it when you have the disc in hand and are putting it into your dvd player. Even when the lights dim and the video begins, you will still disbelieve.

            • ^The worse part is, in spite of so many DVDs, it doesn't seem like they are going to do what I actually wish: a DVD with the concert of the Bercy show. Instead, they'll apperantly use the show's footage to make some sort of movie. Which is does not sound like it is going to be the same as a regular llive DVD. I'll have to settle for a LIFAD DVD (which at this point, I would feel quite pleased to get). Fuck, in that interview, RZK even talks about a MSG album in lieu of a DVD.

              • ^ But it says the Akerlund movie is from the Bercy concert? While it doesn't sound like we won't be getting a live show dvd, at least there will be a new live album. Nothing new obviously, but with the documentary and the movie, it sounds like there will be a lot of stuff.

Plus who knows what the Shop will send us next? Rammstein toothpaste? Or trashbags?

                • @Snake I share your feelings, and this time I think I am even more radical than you.

I dislike the idea of a movie, I would love to see a live DVD in a cinema, but thinking of a movie of Bercy's with cuts and similar doesn't sound very good for me. And even worse, I can't imagine it being shown in Spain, so Probably The only chance to see it, will be to buy a DVD I probably won't like.

                  • I would like a documentary, if it tells something new. But releasing 3 DVDs with known material is overkill to me. As I definitely wont be buying all three, I'll have to wait for them all to have been released, before I can decide which one to buy

RZK said the movie was filmed in Bercy, and there were spotted a lot of professional cameras in that show, including one of those attached to a crane. There is no way they aren't doing a film set in Bercy and not show footage from the concert.

As for which DVD will actually be worth it, I would say north americans might have a greater interest in the dockumentary than most, and the one I am looking forward the most is, ironically, the LIFAD DVD set in MSG/Montreal.

                      • Anyway, RammsteinWorld and RammWiki are reporting slightly different things about the DVD:

We would love to promise you a live DVD and blu-ray in 2015. But the only thing we can guarantee is that Rammstein is putting the final touches to the project, and that it has a good chance to be released this new year. It should contain 3 parts : the LIFAD concert recorded in Montreal and New York in 2010, the MIG concert recorded in Paris in 2012, and a documentary about the Rammstein's tours in USA.
                        http://en.rammsteinworld.com/news-851-happy-new-year

According to some fans, Richard was a guest on 21.12.2014 on German radio station Radio Bob. Since we didn't hear the interview ourselves and there doesn't seem to be a recording around, this info might be fake (but we wanted to share it anyway):

                        - Rammstein are going to meet again in March 2015.
                        - The long awaited new live DVD will be separated into three parts: 1. Live at Madison Square Garden, 2. Live at Bercy, Paris, directed by Jonas Åkerlund, 3. Documentary "Rammstein in America".

At this point, I should not have to tell you to take all this with a grain of salt.

                        • ^All sources are in agreement that there will be three DVDs, no one seems to be very sure about their release dates (and RZK has been rather vague about this as well).

RZK has mentioned in interviews the the next meeting will be in September, but they could have changed their minds between his interviews.

For now I'll go by what RZK says, he should know ;-)

                          • Yeah, I'm not going to hold my breath for them meeting in March. He's actually said they'd meet in September, and that there would be 3 dvds, which at this point seems to be the only thing we know for "sure". Either way I will be incredibly surprised if we get anything before next Christmas. At least from the whole band. It sounds like there will be stuff coming from them individually...eventually...

                            So, things we "know":
                            1. Flake's book
                            2. 3rd Emigrate
                            3. 3 DVDs (contents under some discussion)
                            4. Till's album? Though whether it will be this year or next? *shrugs*

                            Comment

                            • And now I want another interview, maybe Flake will give some during next months and we'll have more information.

                              • I think at this point, if they do not release at least one of the DVD's before next chirstmas, they are either a) trolling their fanbase;or b) stuck with subpair material which they can't elevate into an acceptable product.
