FORUM RULES ABOUT WEB-BASED LINKS TO MUSIC AND VIDEO'S

Based on latest discussions on this forum, and studiing copyright laws, it is necessary to state out new forum mandatory rules, effective immediately, so, here we are.

LINKS TO MUSIC & VIDEOS: what is legal/what is not.
NEW RULES in the forum state:

From now on in our forum users shal NOT POST TOPICS THAT containin the following :
• Requests for or links to MP3s, music videos, or other files of questionable legality
• Bootlegs

So, please do not POST A LINK TO music or videos which does not directly originate from an officially legal site.

An OFFICIALLY LEGAL SITE is: rammstein.com or rammstein.de, universal music, a legitimate music site like MTV or VIVA. The links must be direct and linked only to the approved site. Any links which have copied and transferred the music or videos from an official legal site to ANYWHERE else are NOT OFFICIAL.

• Do not ASK FOR A LINK to music or videos. If there is a legal site for either listening or viewing, xTERNAL will provide the information in the NEWS section of www.RAMMSTEIN-EUROPE.com.

WHAT YOU CAN DO in the forums: You can DISCUSS a new song or a new video.

WHAT YOU CANNOT DO in the forums: provide illegal links or ask for links, give directions of any kind as to where something might be found (examples: file-sharing, other fansites, etc.). Screen caps will be allowed (within reason) AFTER a video has been made available through an OFFICIAL LEGAL LINK. Fan remixes of songs will be allowed (within reason) after the song has been officially released.

The above restrictions are necessary not because we are being “damn babies” or “. The reason is simply that RAMMSTEIN-EUROPE has made the decision to not be a facilitator of illegal activities involving copyrighted material. The reason for that is also clear. Rammstein’s Management has shown aggressive behaviour in combating copyright infringement.

Anyone who violates the spirit of the aforementioned expansion/explanation of what the RULES mean here as applied to music and videos (and this also includes the "making of videos") will meet up with one of the following consequences:

POST BLOCKED, LINK ERASED AND WORSE.... BANNED IF NECESSARY.

If you have ANY questions about what may or may not be acceptable here, you can always PM a Moderator and ask first before posting something that might get you in trouble here.

•any links to www.youtube.com (or other sharing sites of a similar nature)are generally not allowed.
While some videos like fan made items or spoof animations are allowed, we do not allow linking to youtube. Oftentimes there is/are illegal videos of Rammstein performances to the side of the linked videos. Actual Rammstein Videos which are very illegal to be hosted by that site - therefore we cannot allow links to youtube to be allowed.

So, links to youtube are now allowed - ONLY IF it is a fanmade video by you, and does not contain bootleg footage or footage of live performances or released performances. Stills from photos found on the net are OK. A montage is OK. Clips of released footage are NOT OK.

Please try to understand that sometimes while we may allow a certain individuals fanmade videos, and deny another persons it is usually because the content in it could get the forums in trouble.

Also if some individuals post their fanmade video and it turns out to be bootleg footage that they filmed themselves at a concert and consider that "fanmade" - then we will have to reverse the ruling on allowing fanmade videos PERIOD!

Here is an update on what is considered "fanmade".
Fanmade is fanmade. You did it yourself. Like cut and paste. You creatd everything yourself. No footage filmed by someone else no clips. Still images are OK.
For example:
If you go out and find 6 banana slugs in the yard, dress them up in LAB outfits, and put the skinniest one in a paper boat and play the music to SEEMANN on a kazoo. That is fanmade.

If you have a coverband and you do your own video or you have footage of YOUR band's performance. That is fanmade.

If you have images that you sketched of how you think the video for a song should have been and you put it to music - I think we can allow that.

Use your creativity.

IF YOU SEE VIOLATION OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, REPORT IT BY USING THE EXCLAMATION MARK IN THE TOP RIGHT CORNER OF RELEVANT POST.

Oh yes, they do, it's a sad truth. I've been fighting with it since a couple of weeks, because this kind of "fanfiction" I dare say, might be very hurtful to Till and his family. People don't even tend to listen to what Till himself is saying O.O They just keep munching on these false, stupid gossips. ( And yes, I suspect that some people are doing it on purpose).

I have read it in other languages, but I have been lazy to translate it. Please post it, I think it will fit in Other section.

*Werner's death: "Werner died at the effects of the alcohol" we read in various sources. First of all.. Werner quit drinking after a very short time and he would muse about how he was glad to quit it once and for all, he sees a drunkard on the street and it creeps him out. Other folks nag him to have a cup of a New Year champaigne and when he refuses, they look at him as if he was some kind of a freak. (Oh, I know the pain) He would make some Gluhwein for his wife and the rest of the family but he himself wouldn't drink a cup. What was the real cause of Werner's death? We learn it from Till himself.
He mentiones about his Dad's death in one of the interviews. Yes, I DO have a source for that. I've even translated it on my own from Polish to English. If you wish to check it out, I can provide the link, anytime! And here's the quote: "I witnessed the death of a person I loved very much. My Dad died of stomach cancer. When he was dying, my Mom and me would stay by his bedside". He dedicated his "Messer" poem book to his own Father and Gitta herself states in the interview that "she was very delighted to have learnt about that dedication". Yep, even in Wikipedia it says that Gitta and Till would stay by Werner's bedside till the very end. But what about the rest? The rest needs corretion, G*ddam*it! :[

And now the thing about Till never visiting his father's grave. I have no idea where did it get from, one thing is for sure, Till wouldn't say a thing about it in the previously mentioned interview. And even if he didn't pay the visit to his Dad's grave. Maybe it was too much for him to bear? Maybe he had some kind of a psychological stoppage? My friend's Dad passed away three years ago and she loved him with all her heart, but she would never feel like paying visit to his grave, she keeps her Dad's memory in her heart and she feels fine like that. It depends from people, you know..Besides.. how can we be sure, that Till hasn't done it already after all these years?
I thought I was going to DIE of rage!!! when I came across a short summary of Werner's book in Amazon.com. Did that man even happen to read the publication?!!! Or did he throw it down to the Google translator and helped himself up with an automatically translated text?! Again the same s**t about "Till's dark past, abusive Father, wounded mentality".. Seriously for I second there I thought I was going to stop that guy's heart. DEMN!!!!! Writing a summary of the book you have no freakin' idea about?!!!! What planet do these folks you live on?! *facewall**facewall**facewall*

*Mutter Song": "Both Till and Richard confirmed about the song relating to their tough relationships with their own mothers". WHAT THE FU....DGE?!!!!! Okay folks, some of you, that have already swept through my translation of "Mein Sohn, der Frontmann von Rammstein".... I think it already speaks for itself, doesn't it?
Werner himself describes Till running up to his Mom and throwing her up in the air, big, joyfull grin plastered on his face. He mentiones about "beautifuly carved flower pot".. cherry wood beauty made by Till as a Christmas present for his Mom.
And Till! The same interview I've already talked about. Here's the fragment: (everything translated by me)
...(...)..neither the title, nor the text have got anything to do with my own mother, or my colleague’s mothers.
Q:You reportedly consulted the text of the song with your own Mother. Do you always use to test your new musical material on your parent?
A:I just wanted to avoid all unnecessary misunderstandings and vague hints. So that my mother wouldn’t hold any grudge against me afterwards, you know, looking askance, wagging her finger at me, and asking: “What kind of pamphlet is this?!” Especially when given the fact, that “Mutter” song tells a rather sad story which has got no reference to our relationship in real life. My mom listened to it eagerly and she enjoyed it. So all things are settled between us.
Q: You want me to say that your Mom herself is a Rammstein fan?
A: She wasn’t one right from the start, that’s for sure. My Mom works in a radio, in a regional broadcasting station in north-west Germany. She’s the chef of the cultural redaction and you could likely see it coming, that one day, all her co-workers and acquaintances would nag her with all sorts of questions aka:”What the heck is going on?” They would say: “I saw your son in the TV, I read an article with your sweetheart” and so on. That would eventually make her feel proud. It made her totally change her attitude towards my musical activity, she started to look differently at my role in Rammstein, the way I express myself through the music.
There! I think it explains everything away. These quotes come from TILL himself, not from some Wikipedia articles.
I really felt the need to clear it up. And I would appreciate if people stopped spreading false myths and gossips about celebrities. Till doesn't deserve all this sh*t.
That's how I would like to repay him.. for all he has done for me, my sweet Angel. Heck yeah, this is going to be my now motto from now on: "Destroy the Myths! Let the truth unleash!"
Here's the list of the sources I've been relating to:

*Werner Lindemann, Mike Oldfield im Schaukenstuhl - Notizen eines Vaters
*Mike Oldfield Neuerdings - Radio Hoerspiel (from 2011) with Gitta Lindemann interview.
*The March of Missunderstandings - Interview with Till Lindemann (from 2001) "Tylko Rock" Magasine.
*Mein Sohn - der Frontmann von Rammstein - Declaration of Love* by Gitta Lindemann, Till Lindemann's Mother. (from 2008).
    END OF THE ARTICLE

    BTW!
If you are interested, I also may post an article that Gitta Lindemann has written about her son, Till. It is called "Mein Sohn - der Frontmann von Rammstein , eine Liebeserklaerung" - "My son, the frontman of Rammstein, declaration of love" (I've translated it from German to English).

started a topic Till: Destroying the myths

    Till: Destroying the myths

Ok.. now that I have the permission... I decided to post this little thingie I've been annoucing before in my greetings post
I just copied it from my previous DeviantArt. page. And yes, I want to apologise in advance, because ... I admit I got little carried away in some parts (but I made sure to censor each explicit word, don't worry:P)So please, don't be scared of me. It's just emotions... And I swear to everything, that what I've written was based on most reliable sources.
I have no other choice but to split it up in two parts now, because of the characters limit. Hence the double post.

    Here it goes:

    Ekhem... *clears her throat*

I've been thinking about that for quite a long time. And heck yeah, I decided to do it.
I want to say it out loud. I want to destroy all false myths and gossips circulating about Till and his family. Because I find it extremelly annoying, when I come across some made up stories, stories without foundation... Stories which are mostly the fruit of people's wicked imagination. It p**es me off. I mean, what in the name of holy wursts and frankfurters?! :[
Let me clear some things up for you:

    1)*Gitta and Werner

It has been mentioned all over again, on Wikipedia and other sources, that Till's "parents divorced when he was twelve". Yeah, rrrriiiiiiight... you see.. before you set down to write a biography about your "idol", make sure you rely on plausible sources and don't make anything up. Well, this rule seems to have already gone into oblivion and people tend to post whatever they want, however they want, whenever it meets the truth or not. Werner's book, "Mike Oldfield im Schaukestuhl" makes it clystar clear, that:
-Werner moved to their small cottage- house in 1972, because he liked the quietitude of the farmhouse and wanted to create his poems in peace.

Being in town caused him too much stress. Meanwhile his wife Gitta, had to do her job as a journalist. He mentions it a couple of times, that he would love to have her around all the time, but it was impossible because of their professions (writer and journalist) As such, they were forced to live two, separate lifestyles. They would pay each other regular visits, mostly during the weekends, every once in a while Werner would even take the pain to move to the town for a couple of days. There is a really lovely part, when he's so excited to have his all family around and is busy preparing some special food for this occasion. "Other folks mumble - they live separately! As if being together meant living constantly under one roof" authentic quote from Werner himself. He let his wife continue her job and fulfil herself as a journalist, he didn't want to get in the way. He also says that his precious daughter Saskia would have a long way to school had she been living constantly in the village. He wanted to make things more comfortable for them. He mentiones about them taking long walks in the sunset, attending motet concert in Saint Thomas church.. "where their hands (Gitta and his) find each other unintentionally". He recalls the New Year Celebration, mentions about his "beautiful wife smiling" and his children having great fun with fireworks. Somewhere else, Gitta and Werner are shopping in Leipzig, and he suddenly gives her a passionate kiss, totally out of the blue... Another plausible source that sets everything in new light is a Radio Audition "Mike Olfield Neuerdings", with Gitta Lindemann interview. She's talking about how did she meet her future husband (Bitterfelder Konferenz 1959, he would constantly gaze at her during the presentation and he invited her to coffee afterwards), some parts later she explains that "they would always live very happily as a family, but they were individualits and each one of them wanted to make the most of itself and fulfill its aims".

*American step-dad: Where the heck did THAT get from? Neither Werner nor Gitta would EVER mention about Till having one. From all (mostly German) articles I've already read about Gitta (her biography and activity) it becomes crystal clear, that Till's so called "step -dad" is a totally fictional character. There was NO AMERICAN STEP-DAD in Till's life.

3)Father and Son: If anyone of you got to read Werner's book it would become clear to you, that all these stories about Till's screwed up relation with his father are totally far-fetched and exaggerated. Yes, they would have a fight every once in a while. Yes, his Dad would keep telling him how to live his life, and yes, Till objected, Till answered back, he wanted to make his on way, he would rebuff his Dad's remarks and tell him to jerk off. But for God's sake. He was NINETEEN at the time! I remember those days when I was a teenager, these kinds of verbal fights and quarrels with my parents were on a regular basis.
How come that people never bother to mention such *unimportant, irrevelant details* like Werner taking care of his son, sick with high fever, Till carrying heavy things for his Dad, Till saving a puppy from death and giving him to his parent as a birthday present, father and son taking long strolls in the woods and planting trees, listening to music? (Till even got his Dad to listen to Scorpions:P) Werner covering his sleeping boy with the blankie? Werner himself would give a lot of thoughts about their relationship. "How do I become with my friends with my son?" Why is there such a gap between us?" "Why can't he be more easy going?" "Should I be the moral drum?" "Or perhaps.. I shouldn't start to scratch before it itches?" "Maybe I shouldn't be so pushy about some things?"
They once had a fight and it turned a little physical, Werner slid and fell downstairs. But several days later, Werner states, that he has to talk to his son, no matter what happens next. He entered his son's room and they said "sorry" to each other at the same time, lolz.

Working...
