FORUM RULES ABOUT WEB-BASED LINKS TO MUSIC AND VIDEO'S

Based on latest discussions on this forum, and studiing copyright laws, it is necessary to state out new forum mandatory rules, effective immediately, so, here we are.

LINKS TO MUSIC & VIDEOS: what is legal/what is not.
NEW RULES in the forum state:

From now on in our forum users shal NOT POST TOPICS THAT containin the following :
• Requests for or links to MP3s, music videos, or other files of questionable legality
• Bootlegs

So, please do not POST A LINK TO music or videos which does not directly originate from an officially legal site.

An OFFICIALLY LEGAL SITE is: rammstein.com or rammstein.de, universal music, a legitimate music site like MTV or VIVA. The links must be direct and linked only to the approved site. Any links which have copied and transferred the music or videos from an official legal site to ANYWHERE else are NOT OFFICIAL.

• Do not ASK FOR A LINK to music or videos. If there is a legal site for either listening or viewing, xTERNAL will provide the information in the NEWS section of www.RAMMSTEIN-EUROPE.com.

WHAT YOU CAN DO in the forums: You can DISCUSS a new song or a new video.

WHAT YOU CANNOT DO in the forums: provide illegal links or ask for links, give directions of any kind as to where something might be found (examples: file-sharing, other fansites, etc.). Screen caps will be allowed (within reason) AFTER a video has been made available through an OFFICIAL LEGAL LINK. Fan remixes of songs will be allowed (within reason) after the song has been officially released.

The above restrictions are necessary not because we are being “damn babies” or “. The reason is simply that RAMMSTEIN-EUROPE has made the decision to not be a facilitator of illegal activities involving copyrighted material. The reason for that is also clear. Rammstein’s Management has shown aggressive behaviour in combating copyright infringement.

Anyone who violates the spirit of the aforementioned expansion/explanation of what the RULES mean here as applied to music and videos (and this also includes the "making of videos") will meet up with one of the following consequences:

POST BLOCKED, LINK ERASED AND WORSE.... BANNED IF NECESSARY.

If you have ANY questions about what may or may not be acceptable here, you can always PM a Moderator and ask first before posting something that might get you in trouble here.

•any links to www.youtube.com (or other sharing sites of a similar nature)are generally not allowed.
While some videos like fan made items or spoof animations are allowed, we do not allow linking to youtube. Oftentimes there is/are illegal videos of Rammstein performances to the side of the linked videos. Actual Rammstein Videos which are very illegal to be hosted by that site - therefore we cannot allow links to youtube to be allowed.

So, links to youtube are now allowed - ONLY IF it is a fanmade video by you, and does not contain bootleg footage or footage of live performances or released performances. Stills from photos found on the net are OK. A montage is OK. Clips of released footage are NOT OK.

Please try to understand that sometimes while we may allow a certain individuals fanmade videos, and deny another persons it is usually because the content in it could get the forums in trouble.

Also if some individuals post their fanmade video and it turns out to be bootleg footage that they filmed themselves at a concert and consider that "fanmade" - then we will have to reverse the ruling on allowing fanmade videos PERIOD!

Here is an update on what is considered "fanmade".
Fanmade is fanmade. You did it yourself. Like cut and paste. You creatd everything yourself. No footage filmed by someone else no clips. Still images are OK.
For example:
If you go out and find 6 banana slugs in the yard, dress them up in LAB outfits, and put the skinniest one in a paper boat and play the music to SEEMANN on a kazoo. That is fanmade.

If you have a coverband and you do your own video or you have footage of YOUR band's performance. That is fanmade.

If you have images that you sketched of how you think the video for a song should have been and you put it to music - I think we can allow that.

Use your creativity.

IF YOU SEE VIOLATION OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, REPORT IT BY USING THE EXCLAMATION MARK IN THE TOP RIGHT CORNER OF RELEVANT POST.

That's the dream! I would also love the full show of London Brixton Academy 2005. I hope one day they release different volumes of live footage over different tours.

It will be interesting to see about the rest of those dates. It could be possible to push it back after Mexico if the rest go ahead.

      • Scientists are saying the virus will be back next fall (if we can stopped it before), so I don't think there will be new dates after Mexico ( 26-27/09/2020 ), 2021 seems a better option.

        • This link says the Coventry show is still planned to go ahead.. at least for now. To be honest I'm not quite sure how much information the venue would have at this stage when the bands management must be making a lot of decisions right now. It's clear a lot of shows won't happen and I fail to see right now what the benefit of playing a few shows are when risking peoples health. As others have said I'm sure it has to do with what the government here says so the band can cancel/postpone and claim on insurance for any costs.

EDIT: The venue posted this on Twitter the same day as that article. Seems more legit: https://twitter.com/RicohArena/statu...95712668045312

          • Norway has now also extended their ban on mass gatherings, to September 1st.

The organisers for the show in Trondheim have responded:

"Rammstein has been signaling that they wish to move their entire tour to next year, but we don't have cleared up everything yet. Therefore we are asking the fans for some more time."

"We have 55 000 people that want to see Rammstein at Granåsen (the venue in Norway), and we will do everything to make that happen, but it can't take place this summer."

            Source: adressa.no

Update: What he meant by "not cleared up everything yet" is probably the fact that Granåsen is closed for events in 2021, due to ski events taking place in the winter (there will be reconstruction taking place in the summer). So an alternative venue will be looked for.

            • If they want to move their entire tour, these are great news

              • That's the most sensible thing to do. More information from the band/management would be nice. At this point I'm not even sure if I buy the whole "insurance" thing. The German government and others have already mentioned no large scale events for the coming months and yet no announcement of any officially cancelled/postponed show. Other artists such as The Killers who are playing Coventry a week before Rammstein have just moved their show to 2021. I'm more convinced that they are trying to find new dates for all shows before announcing anything further.

                • ^There might be difficulty in finding dates for next year with so many bands doing the same plus those who were already planning tours next Summer. Each stadium needs time between shows for rigging stage and taking them down, plus the normal sports event taking place there.
Even large sport event are being moved til next year and have trouble finding space and dates.

                  • Oh yeah for sure. But it would be nice that if they know for certain the tour is not happening in 2020 to let people know as many fans travel abroad to see them. I don't need dates yet, just a confirmation if it's not happening.

                    Comment

                    • For now, there is a lot of indications that the band first and foremost wants to postpone the tour. Some ticket-sites list the cancelled Rammstein concerts as "postponed, new date to be announced". However the only official information we have from Rammstein and different promoters is that "we are working on solutions for this difficult situation". This leaves the possibility open for postponed shows, completely cancelled shows or changes in venues.

Eventim is currently refunding tickets for cancelled events at a very slow rate. Some accuse them of waiting until the EU passes the "voucher"-law that Germany and some other European countries are considering to implement. That law would give customers a voucher with the value of the purchased ticket. If said voucher is not used until the end of 2021, Eventim and other sites will have to pay refunds.

Either way, the vague communication seems to increasingly cause more frustration among fans. A newspaper in Wales pointed out how the show in Cardiff is still planned to go ahead despite the stadium now being used as a hospital.

                      • It's almost as if the poetry of Till was released to shurrup the fans for a while . They could also use this to release the Zeig Dich-video - maybe on the 17h of May could be a good idea, as the album will be 1 year old.

Ostend (where the gig was planned for the beginning of June) also claims to be postponed until 2021 for now... I really hope they do something in the meanwhile like a performance behind closed doors or release something, because surely there are leftovers from the last album.

                        • ^Agree, but then again Rammstein never do what we would like, they do what they feel like.
Buy yeah, a release of a video and/or some of the "left overs" would be nice, maybe it was even already planned to coincide with the start of this years tour?

                          • I was expecting the release of a new video, some days before the start of the European Tour, I don't know why but I think that if that was their intention, we'll have to wait. If it was planned as promotion they won't release it. But some new material would be really appreciated.

                            • Well it's now May.. the same month this tour is meant to start.. and STILL no official word on what is happening. It's really bad in my opinion. Just let your fans know it's not happening this year and worry about new dates later on.

                              Comment

                              • I think they want to announce the new dates all together, and in their own way they have confirmed there won't be an European tour this year.

Recently, several international governments have extended their bans on large-scale events. Also affected, unfortunately, are some of the dates for the 2020 Rammstein Tour.

We are working on a solution for this difficult situation together with our partners in all the affected countries, and we hope for the understanding of those who have purchased tickets for the coming shows.
