FORUM RULES ABOUT WEB-BASED LINKS TO MUSIC AND VIDEO'S

Based on latest discussions on this forum, and studiing copyright laws, it is necessary to state out new forum mandatory rules, effective immediately, so, here we are.

LINKS TO MUSIC & VIDEOS: what is legal/what is not.
NEW RULES in the forum state:

From now on in our forum users shal NOT POST TOPICS THAT containin the following :
• Requests for or links to MP3s, music videos, or other files of questionable legality
• Bootlegs

So, please do not POST A LINK TO music or videos which does not directly originate from an officially legal site.

An OFFICIALLY LEGAL SITE is: rammstein.com or rammstein.de, universal music, a legitimate music site like MTV or VIVA. The links must be direct and linked only to the approved site. Any links which have copied and transferred the music or videos from an official legal site to ANYWHERE else are NOT OFFICIAL.

• Do not ASK FOR A LINK to music or videos. If there is a legal site for either listening or viewing, xTERNAL will provide the information in the NEWS section of www.RAMMSTEIN-EUROPE.com.

WHAT YOU CAN DO in the forums: You can DISCUSS a new song or a new video.

WHAT YOU CANNOT DO in the forums: provide illegal links or ask for links, give directions of any kind as to where something might be found (examples: file-sharing, other fansites, etc.). Screen caps will be allowed (within reason) AFTER a video has been made available through an OFFICIAL LEGAL LINK. Fan remixes of songs will be allowed (within reason) after the song has been officially released.

The above restrictions are necessary not because we are being “damn babies” or “. The reason is simply that RAMMSTEIN-EUROPE has made the decision to not be a facilitator of illegal activities involving copyrighted material. The reason for that is also clear. Rammstein’s Management has shown aggressive behaviour in combating copyright infringement.

Anyone who violates the spirit of the aforementioned expansion/explanation of what the RULES mean here as applied to music and videos (and this also includes the "making of videos") will meet up with one of the following consequences:

POST BLOCKED, LINK ERASED AND WORSE.... BANNED IF NECESSARY.

If you have ANY questions about what may or may not be acceptable here, you can always PM a Moderator and ask first before posting something that might get you in trouble here.

•any links to www.youtube.com (or other sharing sites of a similar nature)are generally not allowed.
While some videos like fan made items or spoof animations are allowed, we do not allow linking to youtube. Oftentimes there is/are illegal videos of Rammstein performances to the side of the linked videos. Actual Rammstein Videos which are very illegal to be hosted by that site - therefore we cannot allow links to youtube to be allowed.

So, links to youtube are now allowed - ONLY IF it is a fanmade video by you, and does not contain bootleg footage or footage of live performances or released performances. Stills from photos found on the net are OK. A montage is OK. Clips of released footage are NOT OK.

Please try to understand that sometimes while we may allow a certain individuals fanmade videos, and deny another persons it is usually because the content in it could get the forums in trouble.

Also if some individuals post their fanmade video and it turns out to be bootleg footage that they filmed themselves at a concert and consider that "fanmade" - then we will have to reverse the ruling on allowing fanmade videos PERIOD!

Here is an update on what is considered "fanmade".
Fanmade is fanmade. You did it yourself. Like cut and paste. You creatd everything yourself. No footage filmed by someone else no clips. Still images are OK.
For example:
If you go out and find 6 banana slugs in the yard, dress them up in LAB outfits, and put the skinniest one in a paper boat and play the music to SEEMANN on a kazoo. That is fanmade.

If you have a coverband and you do your own video or you have footage of YOUR band's performance. That is fanmade.

If you have images that you sketched of how you think the video for a song should have been and you put it to music - I think we can allow that.

Use your creativity.

IF YOU SEE VIOLATION OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, REPORT IT BY USING THE EXCLAMATION MARK IN THE TOP RIGHT CORNER OF RELEVANT POST.

  • All governments are quite clear: big events like festivals and big concerts will be the very last thing that will be allowed again. That means everything in May and June will be cancelled for sure. Belgium won't allow anything until July of the sort, France nothing until after 11 July. The neighbouring countries will probably follow, as these measures are the most effective when taken on a larger scale than juste 2-3 countries.
There's also the thing about allowing the band to enter the country and leaving afterwards that's a big issue (not for Berlin of course). I'm not sure when our countries will be allowing foreigners again (and which ones).

    • It seems the mantra coming from most virologist is "don't start anticipating and wondering when things will be completely back to normal". The reason being that we simply don't how or when the second and third wave of infections will come. We don't know how the virus reacts to the seasonal change. We also don't know when treatment or a vaccine will be ready.

Doing things like attending large concerts or traveling, might be possible in early 2021, summer of 2021, fall of 2021 or even later.

      According to this article: https://www.swp.de/panorama/coronavi...-45445245.html
some scientists believes that sport events, festivals, large cinemas and concerts can't reopen until the fall of 2021. There has also been a statement from the CEO of the Tokyo Olympics saying that there is a possibility that the event might not even take place in the summer of 2021 if the virus is not under control.

Either way, I believe that concerts this summer is impossible, but somewhere next year might be "possible". We just have to see how things develope.

      • Update: Germany bans all mass gatherings until the end of August. Big concerts and festivals in particular were mentioned as not being allowed to take place.

The government in Quebec has also banned all events until August 31st, so you can put Montreal on that list as well. In the US it's up to each state, although many states are are sceptical about allowing events before fall.

Either way, fear around Corona has caused more or less anyone to stop buying tickets for the US shows since March.

            • Thanks for the info! I'll still wait for an official announcement but I feel more comfortable cancelling plans now. A total shame for which was going to be an exciting Ramm filled Summer for me. To look on the bright side we should have something to look forward to in 2021.

                • New official statement, but nothing new:

Recently, several international governments have extended their bans on large-scale events. Also affected, unfortunately, are some of the dates for the 2020 Rammstein Tour.

We are working on a solution for this difficult situation together with our partners in all the affected countries, and we hope for the understanding of those who have purchased tickets for the coming shows.

As soon as we have precise and definitive information, we will communicate this immediately.

Until then we ask for your understanding and patience, and we would also please request that you refrain for the time being from addressing further questions to the local event organizers, the band management, or the ticketsystems. An update will follow as soon as possible.

                    • I also think the vague-ness of this statement might point to the fact that Rammstein has not figured out if they want to cancel the tour, or take their chances on the summer of 2021. In the last two weeks there has been increasing uncertainty about how early in 2021 mass gatherings will be safe again.

If all dates get moved to the summer of 2021 with tickets still valid, it would be the ideal outcome but still a very optimistic move. I would wait sometime before booking flights and a hotel in that case.

                      • I don't think it's on the table anymore to have something this spring or summer in Europe. But I think they just want to do a big announcement with extra dates and maybe something special to offer the fans (although the Snake in me says I'm too naive too actually believe that. Maybe a youtube streaming they'll organize while performing without audience, a live DVD they'll bring out or something else. It would be a great opportunity to do something.

                        • ^You have to recalibrate the Snake in you, because I do think that they will not simply cancel the tour. They will instead delay/rework them for 2021.

I don't think that they will release a concert-film of the 2019 tour yet, because I am sure that the band intended to keep the same show for the 2020 (now maybe 2021) concerts. I think the band filmed the Vienna concerts because it was the only show in the 2019/2020 European tour that was in a big stadium and completely without daylight. I am pretty sure that they wanted to film the two nights in Mexico later this year as well.

However I agree that some new live footage would be nice. I think they should upload a full concert of the 2016/2017 tour on Youtube. They already uploaded half the show anyway.

                            • Ticket buyers of the Montreal show have gotten an e-mail from Ticketmaster stating that the show has been postponed and a new date "is to be announced". Refunds might be made available at some point.

I the only thing better than having that happen would be to finally get Velodrom 2001 released.
