FORUM RULES ABOUT WEB-BASED LINKS TO MUSIC AND VIDEO'S

Based on latest discussions on this forum, and studiing copyright laws, it is necessary to state out new forum mandatory rules, effective immediately, so, here we are.

LINKS TO MUSIC & VIDEOS: what is legal/what is not.
NEW RULES in the forum state:

From now on in our forum users shal NOT POST TOPICS THAT containin the following :
• Requests for or links to MP3s, music videos, or other files of questionable legality
• Bootlegs

So, please do not POST A LINK TO music or videos which does not directly originate from an officially legal site.

An OFFICIALLY LEGAL SITE is: rammstein.com or rammstein.de, universal music, a legitimate music site like MTV or VIVA. The links must be direct and linked only to the approved site. Any links which have copied and transferred the music or videos from an official legal site to ANYWHERE else are NOT OFFICIAL.

• Do not ASK FOR A LINK to music or videos. If there is a legal site for either listening or viewing, xTERNAL will provide the information in the NEWS section of www.RAMMSTEIN-EUROPE.com.

WHAT YOU CAN DO in the forums: You can DISCUSS a new song or a new video.

WHAT YOU CANNOT DO in the forums: provide illegal links or ask for links, give directions of any kind as to where something might be found (examples: file-sharing, other fansites, etc.). Screen caps will be allowed (within reason) AFTER a video has been made available through an OFFICIAL LEGAL LINK. Fan remixes of songs will be allowed (within reason) after the song has been officially released.

The above restrictions are necessary not because we are being “damn babies” or “. The reason is simply that RAMMSTEIN-EUROPE has made the decision to not be a facilitator of illegal activities involving copyrighted material. The reason for that is also clear. Rammstein’s Management has shown aggressive behaviour in combating copyright infringement.

Anyone who violates the spirit of the aforementioned expansion/explanation of what the RULES mean here as applied to music and videos (and this also includes the "making of videos") will meet up with one of the following consequences:

POST BLOCKED, LINK ERASED AND WORSE.... BANNED IF NECESSARY.

If you have ANY questions about what may or may not be acceptable here, you can always PM a Moderator and ask first before posting something that might get you in trouble here.

•any links to www.youtube.com (or other sharing sites of a similar nature)are generally not allowed.
While some videos like fan made items or spoof animations are allowed, we do not allow linking to youtube. Oftentimes there is/are illegal videos of Rammstein performances to the side of the linked videos. Actual Rammstein Videos which are very illegal to be hosted by that site - therefore we cannot allow links to youtube to be allowed.

So, links to youtube are now allowed - ONLY IF it is a fanmade video by you, and does not contain bootleg footage or footage of live performances or released performances. Stills from photos found on the net are OK. A montage is OK. Clips of released footage are NOT OK.

Please try to understand that sometimes while we may allow a certain individuals fanmade videos, and deny another persons it is usually because the content in it could get the forums in trouble.

Also if some individuals post their fanmade video and it turns out to be bootleg footage that they filmed themselves at a concert and consider that "fanmade" - then we will have to reverse the ruling on allowing fanmade videos PERIOD!

Here is an update on what is considered "fanmade".
Fanmade is fanmade. You did it yourself. Like cut and paste. You creatd everything yourself. No footage filmed by someone else no clips. Still images are OK.
For example:
If you go out and find 6 banana slugs in the yard, dress them up in LAB outfits, and put the skinniest one in a paper boat and play the music to SEEMANN on a kazoo. That is fanmade.

If you have a coverband and you do your own video or you have footage of YOUR band's performance. That is fanmade.

If you have images that you sketched of how you think the video for a song should have been and you put it to music - I think we can allow that.

Use your creativity.

IF YOU SEE VIOLATION OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, REPORT IT BY USING THE EXCLAMATION MARK IN THE TOP RIGHT CORNER OF RELEVANT POST.

Would loved to have seen them on Mutter tour (just to have heard my favourite tune Halleluja) A music lover all my life never has a band had such an effect on me (us)

I've seen them twice, the last time was the LIFAD tour when they went to the ACC in Toronto, and it was pretty incredible. I got floor tickets last time (and for their upcoming concert in May) and managed to push and shove my way to the front of the stage. It was so incredible, to be blasted with heat then with cold air, and the feeling of thousands of other fans behind you. The mosh pit was really fun too.

I saw them live for the first time last May, in Tacoma. I had bought two floor tickets so my brother could fly down and see em too. He's not much for the crowds so he was able to get some great pics from the periphery, but I'm all about front and center. It was a massive crush of humanity, I thought I was going to pass out at some point from the combination of heat from both bodies and flamethrowers. In my experience of live concerts I would rank it a close 2nd place behind Amon Amarth (more a fan of death metal than industrial). INCREDIBLE experience, I hope to see them in Europe soon.

I have seen Rammstein only once. It was on LIFAD- summer festival tour, and they were in Provinssirock. I travelled first in 9 hours to Seinäjoki, I didn't sleep at all (clock was 4 am on Sunday morning when I was in Sjoki with my friend), and I was pretty sleepy whole day. So I waited 17hours only Rammstein. I was at the first row and front of Richard. And god damn it, I can't scream like a little girl but when the German flag dropped down and I saw Richard, oh my god, I haven't ever _EVER_ screamed so loud. Never. And first of all I guess I fainted for few second during Rammlied... Gig was awesome, it was pure love. It was pure Rammstein, then I thought my life was complete. For real! After the gig I really thought that my life stopped :'D It was weird feeling, but needed to handle. During the gig I almos drowned to a water pint, I tried to drink from it so I looked "cool" but I failed so badly that Richard watched me and LAUGHED AT ME. Not sorry for that, he looked so pissed of on the first songs so... And during Sonne, tralalalaaa I cried like a baby, it was just awesome and I lost my hair during it... It all was worth it. But they didn't play Engel. I only wanted to see those wings Till was pretty mad because they couldn't play it... Thanks to staff in Provinssirock.

And two days later I was at hospital because I broke (during Rammstein) my already broken knee and my already bad back was f**ked up ... And I needed to work with them But all of this was worth it. Awake over 35hours and everything...

Abendwind - I just got turned on to Volbeat - saw them on the Revolver Awards show on VH1. Really like their song, Healing Subconsciously. They are great - I was watching the show because Rammstein won the Best Live Show award - but they were not shown on VH1 - which totally sucked. They left out the best.

That's true what you said Snake! Front row definitely has its own risks. Actually I have some experience about that myself too.. I was at this big three-day-long music festival Provinssirock two weeks ago, and on the third day me and my friends queued from the early morning because we wanted to see Volbeat & System of a Down from the front row. (For me Volbeat is my second favorite band, so another reason for the queuing.) We made it to the front row, and I felt good until SOAD started to play. First 30 minutes of the gig were absolutely awesome, but after that........ not. I felt like my ribs would break any second and I couldn't breathe properly. D: Well I had 30 000 people behind me so the pressure was huge.

As long as the people act like humans front row is a good place to be in my opinion. From a further distance you can see the gigs amazingly too.

Vbarrett, I don't have any particular tips for you.. just the usual ones - queue for a good while if you want to make sure you'll make it to the front row. And when the gates/doors open, run like crazy. : D I've always done that and seems that it has worked.

I got some personal experience of that. At the gig in Helsinki, February 2010 I was in second row, there was some pushing and a few times I almost got flatten. There was this bald head guy behind me, he was waving his fist in the air, and it hitted me a few times on the back of my head pretty hard. I think it was during Ich Tu Dir Weh (pretty ironic) when he hitted me in the back a couple of times more. Next thing I remember was that some of the arena's staff members were waking me up at somewhere at backstage. They didn't let me go back to the arena...You could just imagine how frustrated I was. But then I thought, damn I'm pretty happy to even get to see them live. After that at the Provinssirock in June 2010 I still went to the second/third row, and I got to see the whole concert. After that gig and that I got in a picture with Till, Doom and Flake, that previous gig don't irritate me so much anymore
