You really are opening yourself to get schooled.
Thats super narrowminded point of view, but you have all rights to believe in it, as can I believe in something contrary.
You can try to "school me", but I think its better to do in private messages, cause we stopped discussing Lindemann and went too far.

You are probably right, so I will do the same.

Pro tip: If you are going to play the role of a troll, you shouldn't accuse others of being exactly what you act as. The only thing that acomplishes is tipping off others to what you are really doing and stop acknowledging you. You were foing well, but you should should have been more careful and nuanced in your last post. Better luck next time, rookie.

"Which is better, eternal happiness or a ham sandwich? It would appear that eternal happiness is better, but this is really not so! After all, nothing is better than eternal happiness, and a ham sandwich is certainly better than nothing. Therefore a ham sandwich is better than eternal happiness."

      • Despite all the controversy around the recent music videos, people seem to really enjoy the concerts. I have heard mostly positive reviews from people who attended the concerts. Allthough some people were expecting a more Rammstein-esque show, and were suprised by what they saw.

        • That is very important, but a lot of fans who can’t go to one of the concerts are really disappointed, probably soon it will be forgotten and we will be talking about the Rammstein Tour.

          • I attented Lindemann concert here in Finland on Saturday. I read a local interview a couple of months before, in which Till said that since it's impossible to compete with Rammstein in terms of visuals, they have chosen a different approach. So I did not expect to see any flames and bombs. And there were none. The visuals relied basically on the lightshow and the big screen behind the stage, but there were some special stunts also.

Tills performance was very energetic and vital. He seemed to be having much fun. He used quite much of the same manouvers he uses in Rammstein concert, like spilling water from his mouth and he also used the "Till hammer" on a couple of occations. His performance didn't differ from Rammstein show very much, but there was nothing wrong with that,

The screen was on during the whole show, and showed different kind of stuff. Mostly pornographic material, but sometimes cuts from the music videos, and also some footage made for the concert. It was nice, but of course most of the time you were focused on the band, so you didn't notice what was going on at the screen. Between some songs when the band needed time to prepare the next act, the screen was clever way to keep the crowd from not getting bored.

During "Blut" there was red water spilled over the audience, like the paper shred in Puppe or Amerika. During "Platz Eins" Till and Peter entered a huge transparent balloon, in which they were pushed in the middle of the crowd to sing the song. During few songs there was a little elevator on stage, which lifted Till a few feet in the air to sing "Knebel" and also the guitarist used it during "Platz Eins".

The most uncommon things happened during "Allesfresser" and "Fish On". During "Allesfresser" Till used a flashlight to spot people from the crowd, and the rest of the band threw cakes at them. And not any small cupcakes, but full big layered cakes. I got hit by one, and half of my face and hair, and all of my clothes were completely covered in cake. During "Fish On" Till threw dead fish to the crowd. He also had a slingshot which he used to shoot the fish further away. They were completely real dead fish, and I also got hit by one of those. And they also were no small herrings, but big fish like few pound catfish. A girl behind me picked up a fish and held if for the rest of the concert, and the smell was awful.

So, at the front of the stage we were all completely wet and covered in cake and dead fish was all around the floor. And we were having a HELL of a fun!

The show was – as expected – completely over the top with it’s stupidness, but it didn’t make it any less entertaining. The indoor ice ring only took around 6000 people, and I really liked the intimicity of the show, compared to the huge Rammstein shows. I was only a couple of feet away from Till, and on some occations it felt like he looked right into my eyes when singing, even if that propably was not the case. This never happens with Rammstein and it’s understandable, because the shows are so much bigger.

So I really enjoyed the show, for some parts even more than Rammstein. At the end of this concert, they didn’t play “Till the End” or any other porn at the end.

                • Great review Salmari!

I have heard a lot of the same praises from other people that saw Lindemann during this tour. Some even liked this show more than the past couple of Rammstein tours. There is something really special about seeing a great live band in a relatively small indoor arena. Those days seem to be over for Rammstein since the 2011-2012 Mig tour (there were still a few times were they played venues with a capacity below 10 000). Now they mostly tour big outdoor venues, festivals or stadiums.

                  • Feuerräder had the opportunity to interview Zoran Bihac, really interesting and answers some questions in this thread.

                    • Great inteview.

However, it seems that this sort of confirms the rumor that Zoran has been "fired" from directing any more Rammstein material. There were rumors on all sorts of Rammstein fansites the last couple of months, and he seems pretty clear in this interview that he for some reason will not be working with the band any more.

                      • ^He as directed videoclips for both Emigrate and Lindemann, so guess whatever happened, it did not involve either Till or RZK.

                        • Well the rumor actually is that some argument happened in 2014/2015 with Richard regarding Emigrate. Since RZK and Zoran don't get along, bringing back Zoran for a "Untitled"-video was not considered. Again this is a rumor that floats around on fansites. This entire story could be complete bullshit.

Either way, the only thing that is certain is that Zoran himself claims he won't be working with Rammstein anymore.

                          • ^A pitty, because he was a good fit for the band. But hey, at least they don't have any disagreement with Jörn Heitmann
