FORUM RULES ABOUT WEB-BASED LINKS TO MUSIC AND VIDEO'S

Based on latest discussions on this forum, and studiing copyright laws, it is necessary to state out new forum mandatory rules, effective immediately, so, here we are.

LINKS TO MUSIC & VIDEOS: what is legal/what is not.
NEW RULES in the forum state:

From now on in our forum users shal NOT POST TOPICS THAT containin the following :
• Requests for or links to MP3s, music videos, or other files of questionable legality
• Bootlegs

So, please do not POST A LINK TO music or videos which does not directly originate from an officially legal site.

An OFFICIALLY LEGAL SITE is: rammstein.com or rammstein.de, universal music, a legitimate music site like MTV or VIVA. The links must be direct and linked only to the approved site. Any links which have copied and transferred the music or videos from an official legal site to ANYWHERE else are NOT OFFICIAL.

• Do not ASK FOR A LINK to music or videos. If there is a legal site for either listening or viewing, xTERNAL will provide the information in the NEWS section of www.RAMMSTEIN-EUROPE.com.

WHAT YOU CAN DO in the forums: You can DISCUSS a new song or a new video.

WHAT YOU CANNOT DO in the forums: provide illegal links or ask for links, give directions of any kind as to where something might be found (examples: file-sharing, other fansites, etc.). Screen caps will be allowed (within reason) AFTER a video has been made available through an OFFICIAL LEGAL LINK. Fan remixes of songs will be allowed (within reason) after the song has been officially released.

The above restrictions are necessary not because we are being “damn babies” or “. The reason is simply that RAMMSTEIN-EUROPE has made the decision to not be a facilitator of illegal activities involving copyrighted material. The reason for that is also clear. Rammstein’s Management has shown aggressive behaviour in combating copyright infringement.

Anyone who violates the spirit of the aforementioned expansion/explanation of what the RULES mean here as applied to music and videos (and this also includes the "making of videos") will meet up with one of the following consequences:

POST BLOCKED, LINK ERASED AND WORSE.... BANNED IF NECESSARY.

If you have ANY questions about what may or may not be acceptable here, you can always PM a Moderator and ask first before posting something that might get you in trouble here.

•any links to www.youtube.com (or other sharing sites of a similar nature)are generally not allowed.
While some videos like fan made items or spoof animations are allowed, we do not allow linking to youtube. Oftentimes there is/are illegal videos of Rammstein performances to the side of the linked videos. Actual Rammstein Videos which are very illegal to be hosted by that site - therefore we cannot allow links to youtube to be allowed.

So, links to youtube are now allowed - ONLY IF it is a fanmade video by you, and does not contain bootleg footage or footage of live performances or released performances. Stills from photos found on the net are OK. A montage is OK. Clips of released footage are NOT OK.

Please try to understand that sometimes while we may allow a certain individuals fanmade videos, and deny another persons it is usually because the content in it could get the forums in trouble.

Also if some individuals post their fanmade video and it turns out to be bootleg footage that they filmed themselves at a concert and consider that "fanmade" - then we will have to reverse the ruling on allowing fanmade videos PERIOD!

Here is an update on what is considered "fanmade".
Fanmade is fanmade. You did it yourself. Like cut and paste. You creatd everything yourself. No footage filmed by someone else no clips. Still images are OK.
For example:
If you go out and find 6 banana slugs in the yard, dress them up in LAB outfits, and put the skinniest one in a paper boat and play the music to SEEMANN on a kazoo. That is fanmade.

If you have a coverband and you do your own video or you have footage of YOUR band's performance. That is fanmade.

If you have images that you sketched of how you think the video for a song should have been and you put it to music - I think we can allow that.

Use your creativity.

IF YOU SEE VIOLATION OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, REPORT IT BY USING THE EXCLAMATION MARK IN THE TOP RIGHT CORNER OF RELEVANT POST.

Could this be a realistic setlist?

    1. Mein Herz Brennt
    2. Rein Raus
    3. Keine Lust
    4. Sehnsucht
    5. Weisses Fleisch
    6. Feuer Frei!
    7. Seemann
    8. Mein Teil
    9. [New song]
    10. Du Riechst So Gut
    11. Links 2-3-4
    12. Ich Tu Dir Weh
    13. Du Hast
    14. Rammstein
    15. Haifisch

    16. Rosenrot
    17. Sonne
    18. Ich Will
    19. Amerika

What do you think? What should they play? What might happen and what will never happen?
    Dort wo der Horizont
    Sich mit dem Meer verbindet
Dort wollt' ich auf dich warten
Auf das du mich dort findest

I really don't believe they will use MHZ as an opener.
"Which is better, eternal happiness or a ham sandwich? It would appear that eternal happiness is better, but this is really not so! After all, nothing is better than eternal happiness, and a ham sandwich is certainly better than nothing. Therefore a ham sandwich is better than eternal happiness."

That was one of the biggest guesses I made. I don't know what they could use that they haven't used before. Another idea was Wollt Ihr Das Bett In Flammen Sehen, but I think they won't do that because it's not one of there best known tracks.

Just a wild guess, but IF they are indeed including a new song(s) on the tour, they might choose one of the as an opener just to hype things up and really suprise the audience. Some bands have done that, but Rammstein has not in recent memory.

However my real guess is "Rammstein". They have used that song for intros for tours in which they didn't really promote a new album or material. So it's in a way the "go-to-opener" when they are doing a smaller tours (in the past that is). In addition, despite "Rammstein" being such a trademark song, they haven't played it in over 10 years. They only teased the audience with the intro in 2013.

Furthermore, wasn't it mentioned in the article they we're working on ways to set Till on fire again?

Anyway, the one song I really hope to see is "Reise,Reise". It has only been played during the Ahoi tour, despite the fact that I think it's a really famous song of theirs. One could argue that the song hasn't been used since, because it only really works as an opener. I don't really agree with that, but if that's the case "Reise,Reise" would be a good opener in my opinion as well.

It could serve as an opener for the encores .

Rammstein could indeed be an opening song, though it's a bit "calm" (but so was Spiel Mit Mir, I guess). Another tricky point for me is that quiet song they always insert somewhere around the 8th - 9th track. Here I could only figure out Seemann, though it seems they might've abandonned that one forgood since the beginning of the LIFAD period. I couldn't really think of another one that wasn't used already in that position, expcept something never done live like Roter Sand or Ein Lied. One of those would be great, but I don't see it happen. My 2nd guess, after Seemann, would've been Nebel. But again, how likely is that?

^They will probably stick to ohne dich. Maybe even bring back *barf* FiP *barf*.

But if they really wanted to surprise everybody and make a lot of fans happy, they would finally play Donaukinder.

^I feel that I sometimes really agree with certain artistic decisions made by the band, but the fact that they excluded "Donaukinder" from the standard version of Liebe ist für alle da and have never played it live in front of a crowd is something I simply cannot understand. In the "Making of - Liebe ist für alle da" documentary that was released recently, many members of the band even stated that it was one of their favourites from the album (at that point).

I think it would be one hell of a job and a major change to pull off Donaukinder live. As they couldn't really use a choir on a Rammstein concert, I'm not sure how that would work. How that would be doable. It would be just weird if Till had to do that chorus all by himself.
It seems more realistic if they'd do something with Stirb Nicht Vor Mir, though they'd have to make a major chance for that too.

^They didn't bring an orchestra to play the violin sections of MHB, and they didn't bring the guest singer for every single performance of Engel. Hence, they can just use a sample of the chorus like they do for those other songs.

And they even used a piano version of the song during the opening.

^I agree with Snake on that part.I don't think the orchestra and chior are a big problems (however it could maybe be a reason for them not trying). B******** and Waidmanns Heil also had a lot of orchestral parts, but they used either samples (which is one of Flake's jobs). Or they changed some parts, and replaced the orchestra with Flake playing on his keyboard (like they did with "Waidmanns Heil").

However they sometimes simply discard certain songs, because they just don't really translate well to live (according to the band's taste at least). I have searched on different forums for reviews of the LIFAD-tour rehearsels, and tried to find out how "Rosenrot" sounded live. Most people say that Till simply couldn't hit all the notes, and due the fact that the song has overlapping vocals and several vocal tracks at parts, the song simply didn't come of as that powerful when performed live. The instrumental was overal good enough (according to the same people), but it simply lacked a "Wow!"-factor which is why they probably didn't use it.

I contrary to this, many actually liked how "Mein Land" was performed live. Although others say that the song also didn't really work live sound wise.

^One song that absolutely does not work live is Amerika, and even so, they played anyway in 2 tours.

They did use orchestal parts live, but I know not one Rammstein song they performed live where the choir was so prominent, except for Morgenstern, but there it's still more like a tune. In Donaukinder it's more like they sing together with Till, they are practically as loud as Till, and that would be weird to me. Yes in Engel the voice over and Till are also equally loud, but it's somehow different, I don't know. I just can't picture Donaukinder in a live version.
Yes, they ruined Amerika a lot, but during the Ahoi tour they often managed to turn it into an epic performance. I really liked the one time they did it in the Lifad tour too (in Switzerland I think).

I can also imagine the song Rosenrot not working, indeed, from Till's part that is. During the more epic parts, the double voice is quite important I think. Maybe they could alter it a bit and make it into a more quieter song live. But I'd prefer if they'd make it cosy again, like for Los live, and play Ein Lied. It would fit too, as this would be their first tour without really supporting an album, so made possible by the fans and how they support the band. So this song could work as a thank you .

About the "quieter" song they usually play around the 8th or 9th track in the setlist... Anyone think they might once choose for Feuer und Wasser? I for one can imagine it being played live.
