FORUM RULES ABOUT WEB-BASED LINKS TO MUSIC AND VIDEO'S

Based on latest discussions on this forum, and studiing copyright laws, it is necessary to state out new forum mandatory rules, effective immediately, so, here we are.

LINKS TO MUSIC & VIDEOS: what is legal/what is not.
NEW RULES in the forum state:

From now on in our forum users shal NOT POST TOPICS THAT containin the following :
• Requests for or links to MP3s, music videos, or other files of questionable legality
• Bootlegs

So, please do not POST A LINK TO music or videos which does not directly originate from an officially legal site.

An OFFICIALLY LEGAL SITE is: rammstein.com or rammstein.de, universal music, a legitimate music site like MTV or VIVA. The links must be direct and linked only to the approved site. Any links which have copied and transferred the music or videos from an official legal site to ANYWHERE else are NOT OFFICIAL.

• Do not ASK FOR A LINK to music or videos. If there is a legal site for either listening or viewing, xTERNAL will provide the information in the NEWS section of www.RAMMSTEIN-EUROPE.com.

WHAT YOU CAN DO in the forums: You can DISCUSS a new song or a new video.

WHAT YOU CANNOT DO in the forums: provide illegal links or ask for links, give directions of any kind as to where something might be found (examples: file-sharing, other fansites, etc.). Screen caps will be allowed (within reason) AFTER a video has been made available through an OFFICIAL LEGAL LINK. Fan remixes of songs will be allowed (within reason) after the song has been officially released.

The above restrictions are necessary not because we are being “damn babies” or “. The reason is simply that RAMMSTEIN-EUROPE has made the decision to not be a facilitator of illegal activities involving copyrighted material. The reason for that is also clear. Rammstein’s Management has shown aggressive behaviour in combating copyright infringement.

Anyone who violates the spirit of the aforementioned expansion/explanation of what the RULES mean here as applied to music and videos (and this also includes the "making of videos") will meet up with one of the following consequences:

POST BLOCKED, LINK ERASED AND WORSE.... BANNED IF NECESSARY.

If you have ANY questions about what may or may not be acceptable here, you can always PM a Moderator and ask first before posting something that might get you in trouble here.

•any links to www.youtube.com (or other sharing sites of a similar nature)are generally not allowed.
While some videos like fan made items or spoof animations are allowed, we do not allow linking to youtube. Oftentimes there is/are illegal videos of Rammstein performances to the side of the linked videos. Actual Rammstein Videos which are very illegal to be hosted by that site - therefore we cannot allow links to youtube to be allowed.

So, links to youtube are now allowed - ONLY IF it is a fanmade video by you, and does not contain bootleg footage or footage of live performances or released performances. Stills from photos found on the net are OK. A montage is OK. Clips of released footage are NOT OK.

Please try to understand that sometimes while we may allow a certain individuals fanmade videos, and deny another persons it is usually because the content in it could get the forums in trouble.

Also if some individuals post their fanmade video and it turns out to be bootleg footage that they filmed themselves at a concert and consider that "fanmade" - then we will have to reverse the ruling on allowing fanmade videos PERIOD!

Here is an update on what is considered "fanmade".
Fanmade is fanmade. You did it yourself. Like cut and paste. You creatd everything yourself. No footage filmed by someone else no clips. Still images are OK.
For example:
If you go out and find 6 banana slugs in the yard, dress them up in LAB outfits, and put the skinniest one in a paper boat and play the music to SEEMANN on a kazoo. That is fanmade.

If you have a coverband and you do your own video or you have footage of YOUR band's performance. That is fanmade.

If you have images that you sketched of how you think the video for a song should have been and you put it to music - I think we can allow that.

Use your creativity.

IF YOU SEE VIOLATION OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, REPORT IT BY USING THE EXCLAMATION MARK IN THE TOP RIGHT CORNER OF RELEVANT POST.

^^ I was wondering if you knew them or not. I'm sorry because I know it since 2013 (LIFAD QUIZ 2013) but I forgot posting about it.

No worries. The movie seems hard to find, unfortunately enough .

Sorry, just saw that question now. Well, in Belgium at the Werchter festival, the festival they always choose, they can't do meet & greets, because the festival just doesn't do these things. And as for indoors, the only place were Rammstein can go (Sports palace, Antwerp) doesn't seem to have the accomodation to install that. Of course they could do it somewhere nearby the venue or even in Brussels perhaps; so no, not sure why they don't do that.

Speaking of Werchter: in 2010 P!nk was the artist right before Rammstein. After the gig she posted this tweet: https://twitter.com/Pink/status/17746780194 .

The extra footage from Birmingham in "Völkerball"

If you look closely during the Nimes segment of "Völkerball" you will realise that there are a lot of continuity mistakes. Already when you see the band supposedly walk in, at the first couple of seconds of the concert, you can clearly see that Till wears a totally different coat than later on during the song "Reise, Reise". It also does not make sense that the band would walk through a hallway with concrete walls. The Nimes ampitheatre is 1000 years old.

Later on, during the end of Links 2,3,4 you can see Richard walking towards the camera. However if you pause there, you can see that there I is a roof above the stadium. This should be impossible, the Nimes amphitheatre does not have a roof. However, the most obivous continuity issue, is Flake's appearing and dissappearing shirt during Los, Benzin ,Stein um Stein etc.

The truth is, the Nimes segment does not always feature footage from the Nimes concert. As far as i know, the entrance scene is from Moscow, since there is a Russian security guard behind the band. The rest of the footage was most likely shot at their concert in Birmingham July 15 2005. This particular concert was filmed in a very well-organized manor. I don´t know if that concert was filmed with as many cameramen as the Nimes concert, but it was filmed very well. Although it is said that Rammstein immediantly decided to film the Nimes concert, after their Bercy concert could not be filmed due to technicall difficulties, the Birmingham concert was most likely shot for back-up footage in case the camera crew in Nimes would encounter problems. I also think that they filmed the Birmingham concert, because it was easier to film in an indoor venue, than in an outdoor stadium. Since the crew missed certain highlights during the concert, like Richard´s guitar solo during "Links 2,3,4".

It is not that difficult to single out the Birmingham footage. Usually it is easy to discover because some of the members all the sudden wear different clothing, or the sound and image don´t match together (Till´s vocals don´t always match with his mouth movement during Stein um Stein). However, the easiest way to discover the Birmingham footage, is by playing the DVD on a Blu-Ray player and on a larger TV screen. Than you will see that at times, the image quality and resolution drops occasionally. This is probably due to the fact that they used different camera´s during the Birmingham concert filming, which did not match quality wise with the ones used in Nimes.

^That fact that the Nimes concert featured in Volkerball uses a lot of footage from another one is not that obscure. Also, the LAB concert also probably features footage recorded during the whole Whulheide's double concert, but since it was recorded consecutively, it is almost impossible to notice. Furthermore, the upcoming DVD recorded in Madison Square Garden will probably also use a lot of footage from Montreal.

After all, nothing is better than eternal happiness, and a ham sandwich is certainly better than nothing. Therefore a ham sandwich is better than eternal happiness."

Here is in addition some proof that the extra footage is from Birmingham. I mixed some fan filmed footage from Birmingham with clips from the DVD. Here you can clearly see the camera operators:

I know that many people are aware of this. I just felt like writing about it since I found out that the Birmingham concert was filmed.

^Thx for the additions to this thread! I suspected extra footage on Völkerball, but I wasn't sure (I didn't have any real indications or proof, but somehow came aware of it once). I'm glad it's not obvious for me though, I would be quite disturbed and bothered by it, I must say. All in all they did a very good job making Völkerball.
Many people are aware of many things, but feel free to share them anyway . It's a common misconception that if you found something easily it means that most people probably know it already. For example many things the mods say on this site in a kind of "by the way-manner" is completely new to me (like when Snake once dropped that Los was considered for a single! That never reached my ears before!).

Here is a really strange one. During one of Rammstein's concerts in Berlin (25.05.2013), the sound crew and security were so eager to watch the Champions League final, they had to put up a monitor which showed the match. I heard some people talk about it on Youtube and I didn't believe it before I saw it myself.

^When that happened, a lot of people were angry at RZK because it was said that he was the one who arranjed to have the TV by his side.

^ I heard too it was RZK who watched TV during the show. And some people say it was only crew. Whatever, still weird.

^Whatever was teh crew or RZK, the TV should not be there. Or at the very least, be completely hidden from the audience.
