FORUM RULES ABOUT WEB-BASED LINKS TO MUSIC AND VIDEO'S

Based on latest discussions on this forum, and studiing copyright laws, it is necessary to state out new forum mandatory rules, effective immediately, so, here we are.

LINKS TO MUSIC & VIDEOS: what is legal/what is not.
NEW RULES in the forum state:

From now on in our forum users shal NOT POST TOPICS THAT containin the following :
• Requests for or links to MP3s, music videos, or other files of questionable legality
• Bootlegs

So, please do not POST A LINK TO music or videos which does not directly originate from an officially legal site.

An OFFICIALLY LEGAL SITE is: rammstein.com or rammstein.de, universal music, a legitimate music site like MTV or VIVA. The links must be direct and linked only to the approved site. Any links which have copied and transferred the music or videos from an official legal site to ANYWHERE else are NOT OFFICIAL.

• Do not ASK FOR A LINK to music or videos. If there is a legal site for either listening or viewing, xTERNAL will provide the information in the NEWS section of www.RAMMSTEIN-EUROPE.com.

WHAT YOU CAN DO in the forums: You can DISCUSS a new song or a new video.

WHAT YOU CANNOT DO in the forums: provide illegal links or ask for links, give directions of any kind as to where something might be found (examples: file-sharing, other fansites, etc.). Screen caps will be allowed (within reason) AFTER a video has been made available through an OFFICIAL LEGAL LINK. Fan remixes of songs will be allowed (within reason) after the song has been officially released.

The above restrictions are necessary not because we are being “damn babies” or “. The reason is simply that RAMMSTEIN-EUROPE has made the decision to not be a facilitator of illegal activities involving copyrighted material. The reason for that is also clear. Rammstein’s Management has shown aggressive behaviour in combating copyright infringement.

Anyone who violates the spirit of the aforementioned expansion/explanation of what the RULES mean here as applied to music and videos (and this also includes the "making of videos") will meet up with one of the following consequences:

POST BLOCKED, LINK ERASED AND WORSE.... BANNED IF NECESSARY.

If you have ANY questions about what may or may not be acceptable here, you can always PM a Moderator and ask first before posting something that might get you in trouble here.

•any links to www.youtube.com (or other sharing sites of a similar nature)are generally not allowed.
While some videos like fan made items or spoof animations are allowed, we do not allow linking to youtube. Oftentimes there is/are illegal videos of Rammstein performances to the side of the linked videos. Actual Rammstein Videos which are very illegal to be hosted by that site - therefore we cannot allow links to youtube to be allowed.

So, links to youtube are now allowed - ONLY IF it is a fanmade video by you, and does not contain bootleg footage or footage of live performances or released performances. Stills from photos found on the net are OK. A montage is OK. Clips of released footage are NOT OK.

Please try to understand that sometimes while we may allow a certain individuals fanmade videos, and deny another persons it is usually because the content in it could get the forums in trouble.

Also if some individuals post their fanmade video and it turns out to be bootleg footage that they filmed themselves at a concert and consider that "fanmade" - then we will have to reverse the ruling on allowing fanmade videos PERIOD!

Here is an update on what is considered "fanmade".
Fanmade is fanmade. You did it yourself. Like cut and paste. You creatd everything yourself. No footage filmed by someone else no clips. Still images are OK.
For example:
If you go out and find 6 banana slugs in the yard, dress them up in LAB outfits, and put the skinniest one in a paper boat and play the music to SEEMANN on a kazoo. That is fanmade.

If you have a coverband and you do your own video or you have footage of YOUR band's performance. That is fanmade.

If you have images that you sketched of how you think the video for a song should have been and you put it to music - I think we can allow that.

Use your creativity.

IF YOU SEE VIOLATION OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, REPORT IT BY USING THE EXCLAMATION MARK IN THE TOP RIGHT CORNER OF RELEVANT POST.

They've played ITDW every festival show since 2010 so I really think it will be dropped for these shows. It's good don't get me wrong, but the live act with the bathtub has been seen a lot now and I don't think they'll open with it again.

Hence why I mentioned Mein Teil and Buck Dich again. It would be 4 years since they last played them come 2017. I think they'll keep a lot of new ideas for the new full production after the albums release. So maybe Mein Teil or Buck Dich for the Till v.s. Flake element of the show.

Plus although Pussy has been played so much, it's their only #1 German single. By all means it was a big song for them and after leaving it out in 2016 I think it will return again. I think it makes more sense to have it again for a few 2017 festival shows rather than the 2018 new album tour. But I could be wrong

^I think we'll have more surprises when it comes to the old ones. As their number of hits only increases, they rarely get the chance to play songs like that as next to presenting the new album they only have time left for a few singles.

I'm guessing Adios, Sehnsucht, something from Rosenrot they haven't played (Rosenot, Spring, or Feuer und Wasser). Next to that I think Haifisch will return, maybe in a new surprising form of show. Rein Raus has a big chance as well I think. Maybe even Wilder Wein as the first ballad, though Frühling in Paris or even Roter Sand might get a chance as well (something where Till will have a prominent singing role, while other ballads would be left out more).
One new song at least would be my guess too, but not much more.
The most difficult is to think what they would use of the first album... Weisses Fleisch is indeed an educated guess. But I dare to guess they might go crazy for one time again with Laichzeit, though it's least likely thing I've ever said on this forum.

Or maybe even Wo Bist du? as the first ballad, why not? Could work well with the Ohne Dich/Mutter - fire rain on Till at the end. It's a song that would work with the audience as well; the song immediately takes you in as it is not too complex.

In all honesty I don't think they are keen to revisit that album too much. Only 4 songs have been played from it, one of which is only played in Spanish speaking countries for obvious reasons. The album wasn't received as well as others by critics and some fans. I'll be surprised if we see more from it. That's just my opinion though!

^There wasn't much "time" for it either. But now they really have played the songs I could best imagine being played live, so I guess there won't be much more. But there's always something from the Rosenrot album, so I think this time it might be something special again.

I really do hope they play a lot of their older stuff, Till's outfit really reminds me of his Herzeleid/Sehnsucht period when he had his hair dyed silver.

OMG if they played Wo Bist Du I think I would shit kittens!! I put Rosenrot on a few weeks ago, listened to Wo Bist Du, and had an image pop into my head. That of a woman whom I have liked for quite a while, but never had the courage to say anything to her as I don't want to ruin our friendship. However, I'm now finally building up the courage to say something, and maybe even ask her out, and so every time I listen to Wo Bist Du, all I can think of is her.
To tell you the truth, Wo Bist Du is the ONLY Rammstein song I have been listening to of late, at least on my stereo! I'll listen to other stuff when I'm on YouTube (Du Hast is playing as I type), but when I'm in my room with my CD's and my stereo, it's just that one. I love that song, and I love this woman!

Getting back on-topic though, I personally would love to see them in a proper arena tour again. I saw them for the fifth time live at Download in 2013, (where I also met them!! **swoon**), but I would love to see an arena tour with a mix of some of the classics (Wo Bist Du, Laichzeit, Rammstein, Eifersucht is a personal favourite, maybe Moskau??, Nebel, Haifisch, Fruhling in Paris), and some of the new songs from the new album. That, to me, would just be amazeballs!

                    • Three new USA dates added: Chicago (27.06.12), Dallas (29.06.17) and Los Angeles (01.07.17).-------------------------------------------------The venue in Los Angeles is an indoor stadium. The venues in Chicago and Dallas are both outdoor arenas. However they both have some sort of roof, and I think the Rammstein stage has to be changed to fit inside of them.

                      • I seem to recall from the RiA documentary that they wouldn't play Chicago again, because of pyro-restrictions? Is my memory failing me her or has the restrictions been lifted? Any one knows?

                        • ^They had very strict laws against fireworks and pyrotechnics. The origins for these laws were large fires and accidents in the city of Chicago and the state of Illinois in the 20s. That's why one Rammstein show back in 1998 had to be performed without fire or any other pyro-effects. However, now that the band has a certified pyrotechnic team and always conducts meetings with the local firedepartment, they are allowed to performe their full show almost everywhere.---------- In the last few years there has only been a few exceptions. The 2011 show in Zagreb had a lot less pyro then the usual "Made in Germany" show, and "Sehnsucht" was dropped from the setlist. In 2010, the show in "Madison Square Garden" needed extensive preperations to get all pyro-effects approved. The only effect that needed to be dropped was the rockets during "Du Hast". The state of New York supposedly doesn't allow any low-flying fireworks over an audience. The same rule applied to a show in San Antonio, Texas in 2012.
