FORUM RULES ABOUT WEB-BASED LINKS TO MUSIC AND VIDEO'S

Based on latest discussions on this forum, and studiing copyright laws, it is necessary to state out new forum mandatory rules, effective immediately, so, here we are.

LINKS TO MUSIC & VIDEOS: what is legal/what is not.
NEW RULES in the forum state:

From now on in our forum users shal NOT POST TOPICS THAT containin the following :
• Requests for or links to MP3s, music videos, or other files of questionable legality
• Bootlegs

So, please do not POST A LINK TO music or videos which does not directly originate from an officially legal site.

An OFFICIALLY LEGAL SITE is: rammstein.com or rammstein.de, universal music, a legitimate music site like MTV or VIVA. The links must be direct and linked only to the approved site. Any links which have copied and transferred the music or videos from an official legal site to ANYWHERE else are NOT OFFICIAL.

• Do not ASK FOR A LINK to music or videos. If there is a legal site for either listening or viewing, xTERNAL will provide the information in the NEWS section of www.RAMMSTEIN-EUROPE.com.

WHAT YOU CAN DO in the forums: You can DISCUSS a new song or a new video.

WHAT YOU CANNOT DO in the forums: provide illegal links or ask for links, give directions of any kind as to where something might be found (examples: file-sharing, other fansites, etc.). Screen caps will be allowed (within reason) AFTER a video has been made available through an OFFICIAL LEGAL LINK. Fan remixes of songs will be allowed (within reason) after the song has been officially released.

The above restrictions are necessary not because we are being “damn babies” or “. The reason is simply that RAMMSTEIN-EUROPE has made the decision to not be a facilitator of illegal activities involving copyrighted material. The reason for that is also clear. Rammstein’s Management has shown aggressive behaviour in combating copyright infringement.

Anyone who violates the spirit of the aforementioned expansion/explanation of what the RULES mean here as applied to music and videos (and this also includes the "making of videos") will meet up with one of the following consequences:

POST BLOCKED, LINK ERASED AND WORSE.... BANNED IF NECESSARY.

If you have ANY questions about what may or may not be acceptable here, you can always PM a Moderator and ask first before posting something that might get you in trouble here.

•any links to www.youtube.com (or other sharing sites of a similar nature)are generally not allowed.
While some videos like fan made items or spoof animations are allowed, we do not allow linking to youtube. Oftentimes there is/are illegal videos of Rammstein performances to the side of the linked videos. Actual Rammstein Videos which are very illegal to be hosted by that site - therefore we cannot allow links to youtube to be allowed.

So, links to youtube are now allowed - ONLY IF it is a fanmade video by you, and does not contain bootleg footage or footage of live performances or released performances. Stills from photos found on the net are OK. A montage is OK. Clips of released footage are NOT OK.

Please try to understand that sometimes while we may allow a certain individuals fanmade videos, and deny another persons it is usually because the content in it could get the forums in trouble.

Also if some individuals post their fanmade video and it turns out to be bootleg footage that they filmed themselves at a concert and consider that "fanmade" - then we will have to reverse the ruling on allowing fanmade videos PERIOD!

Here is an update on what is considered "fanmade".
Fanmade is fanmade. You did it yourself. Like cut and paste. You creatd everything yourself. No footage filmed by someone else no clips. Still images are OK.
For example:
If you go out and find 6 banana slugs in the yard, dress them up in LAB outfits, and put the skinniest one in a paper boat and play the music to SEEMANN on a kazoo. That is fanmade.

If you have a coverband and you do your own video or you have footage of YOUR band's performance. That is fanmade.

If you have images that you sketched of how you think the video for a song should have been and you put it to music - I think we can allow that.

Use your creativity.

IF YOU SEE VIOLATION OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, REPORT IT BY USING THE EXCLAMATION MARK IN THE TOP RIGHT CORNER OF RELEVANT POST.

  • 2017 festival tour?

"RammsteinWorld" has just published on their Facebook-page that the band will perform on festivals again in 2017. Let's hope it's true again.

^Than it could very well be true, they have some insiders over there. (It's ashame they are so arrogant about it though...)

Rock Werchter won't book Rammstein 2 years in a row, which means they wouldn't visit Belgium . Maybe I could drive to the Netherlands, Paris or Germany. Although it could very well be they're doing the places they haven't been yet.

^Yes, I'm not saying that it's confirmed. But due to RammsteinWorld's record when it comes to giving accurate predicitions, I'm 99% sure they will tour next year. Like you said, they will probably visit countries they didn't visit last year.

Although I must say that I'm not as excited about this announcment, as I was last summer. I doubt they will have a complete album finished for next summer, so this could be just a little tour inbetween album production phases. The most suprising thing for me, would be if they would do what Flake hinted a year ago, which is to produce a 4-5 track LP and just tour with those songs.

It's cool but it does mean a delayed album. Or as Chrisss said maybe just an EP. I can't imagine there will be a huge new production either.

..However I'll never not want to see them live so whatever! At least we are getting something in 2017 and I wouldn't be surprised if we got another new song in the show.

I know that this is probably never going to happen, but I got a crazy idea. What if, this tour will be dedicated to the 20th anniversary of "Sehnsucht"? And the setlist will be heavily based on early Herzeleid/Sehnsucht songs. Now that would be awesome!

Oh damn, not another festival-tour. I want to see a regular Rammstein show, and not have to wait 4-5 hours for them to go on :-(

I would like to see songs like Rein Raus, Zwitter, Adios, Heirate Mich being played again. That would be cool! It surprises me they brought back Hallelujah before any of those.

I say they should add some songs from Rosenrot like Wo Bist Du and Spring, I'd love to see those songs!

^Amen to that! I think they wanted to use the last tour a bit to play some stuff they might not be able to play anymore in the future, when thet have to focus on promoting the new record combined with some classics. Hope they keep on doing that!

^Definitely I hope they play some older material that has not been played for a long time, or not played at all yet.

However, I heard some people wonder if the new album might actually be finished until the new tour. Based on how long the production of the latest albums took, that seems unlikely. However, during the production of albums like "Reise, Reise" and "Liebe ist für alle da" the band went into production with far more songs then what ended on the album (most of "Rosenrot" was recorded during "Reise,Reise"-sessions, and think of all the B-sides and extra songs that came after the release of "LIFAD"). In addition the band also always wanted to use the same exact crew, and work far away from Berlin and only use the best studios the could find.

If we assume that they scrapped all of these traditions, the album might be actually finished soon. I mean if they only focus on writing 11 songs, only stay in Berlin and work with a new crew that follows their scheduel so that they can get work done whenever they want, maybe they need a lot less time.

^Maybe, especially as they seem to work hard on it. Richard said that for Lifad they wrote 40 songs, so it's possible they still have material left. However I do seem to recall that some band member (Flake or Richard) said that they had to start from scratch now, which implies they had no left-overs. Then again they said that too about Lifad, only to add afterwards that Till in fact wrote several stuff already, Mein Land was around too (though in a version they wanted to edit) and the existence of a song called Vergiss uns Nicht! was confirmed for years too (and it sounds very 'Rosenrot' too). It seems like after Herzeleid they never really started from zero.

So, I wouldn't count on an album very soon either, but it's not impossible if you look at their history.

I can't help but see a 2018 release now. I mean they still haven't released or even confirmed a release date for the Paris DVD. I imagine that will be released around March time now.

I would just find it odd to start a new albums tour with festivals. I'm sure they could do it but they haven't since Mutter. If they released it in Autumn 2017 they could pick up touring again but what happens in the ways of stage production? Would they carry on using this years stage for next years Summer shows and then have a new one after the albums release? Or have a new set up for next years Summer shows and only edit the setlist/lighting/pyro after the albums release?

Also because of promotion I'm guessing the album would still need to be finished before the 2017 Summer shows for an Autumn release, right? lol Just guessing here
