FORUM RULES ABOUT WEB-BASED LINKS TO MUSIC AND VIDEO'S

Based on latest discussions on this forum, and studiing copyright laws, it is necessary to state out new forum mandatory rules, effective immediately, so, here we are.

LINKS TO MUSIC & VIDEOS: what is legal/what is not.
NEW RULES in the forum state:

From now on in our forum users shal NOT POST TOPICS THAT containin the following :
• Requests for or links to MP3s, music videos, or other files of questionable legality
• Bootlegs

So, please do not POST A LINK TO music or videos which does not directly originate from an officially legal site.

An OFFICIALLY LEGAL SITE is: rammstein.com or rammstein.de, universal music, a legitimate music site like MTV or VIVA. The links must be direct and linked only to the approved site. Any links which have copied and transferred the music or videos from an official legal site to ANYWHERE else are NOT OFFICIAL.

• Do not ASK FOR A LINK to music or videos. If there is a legal site for either listening or viewing, xTERNAL will provide the information in the NEWS section of www.RAMMSTEIN-EUROPE.com.

WHAT YOU CAN DO in the forums: You can DISCUSS a new song or a new video.

WHAT YOU CANNOT DO in the forums: provide illegal links or ask for links, give directions of any kind as to where something might be found (examples: file-sharing, other fansites, etc.). Screen caps will be allowed (within reason) AFTER a video has been made available through an OFFICIAL LEGAL LINK. Fan remixes of songs will be allowed (within reason) after the song has been officially released.

The above restrictions are necessary not because we are being “damn babies” or “. The reason is simply that RAMMSTEIN-EUROPE has made the decision to not be a facilitator of illegal activities involving copyrighted material. The reason for that is also clear. Rammstein’s Management has shown aggressive behaviour in combating copyright infringement.

Anyone who violates the spirit of the aforementioned expansion/explanation of what the RULES mean here as applied to music and videos (and this also includes the "making of videos") will meet up with one of the following consequences:

POST BLOCKED, LINK ERASED AND WORSE.... BANNED IF NECESSARY.

If you have ANY questions about what may or may not be acceptable here, you can always PM a Moderator and ask first before posting something that might get you in trouble here.

•any links to www.youtube.com (or other sharing sites of a similar nature)are generally not allowed.
While some videos like fan made items or spoof animations are allowed, we do not allow linking to youtube. Oftentimes there is/are illegal videos of Rammstein performances to the side of the linked videos. Actual Rammstein Videos which are very illegal to be hosted by that site - therefore we cannot allow links to youtube to be allowed.

So, links to youtube are now allowed - ONLY IF it is a fanmade video by you, and does not contain bootleg footage or footage of live performances or released performances. Stills from photos found on the net are OK. A montage is OK. Clips of released footage are NOT OK.

Please try to understand that sometimes while we may allow a certain individuals fanmade videos, and deny another persons it is usually because the content in it could get the forums in trouble.

Also if some individuals post their fanmade video and it turns out to be bootleg footage that they filmed themselves at a concert and consider that "fanmade" - then we will have to reverse the ruling on allowing fanmade videos PERIOD!

Here is an update on what is considered "fanmade".
Fanmade is fanmade. You did it yourself. Like cut and paste. You creatd everything yourself. No footage filmed by someone else no clips. Still images are OK.
For example:
If you go out and find 6 banana slugs in the yard, dress them up in LAB outfits, and put the skinniest one in a paper boat and play the music to SEEMANN on a kazoo. That is fanmade.

If you have a coverband and you do your own video or you have footage of YOUR band's performance. That is fanmade.

If you have images that you sketched of how you think the video for a song should have been and you put it to music - I think we can allow that.

Use your creativity.

IF YOU SEE VIOLATION OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, REPORT IT BY USING THE EXCLAMATION MARK IN THE TOP RIGHT CORNER OF RELEVANT POST.

I have to admit those scars really creeped me out, the first time I saw them. I prayed they weren't auntenthic. But unfortunately they were. I just hope that none of such thing happens again in the future I want him to stay in health!

No problem, 2face, just wanted to know if you had arguments. I personally give people more the benefit of doubt, especially when those people are already constantly being attacked for the wrong and untrue reasons (like Till having problems with his father, Till being a Nazist, Till being every person he sings about etc.). I never want to pick a fight and I'll never judge persons, only comments !

Just came across a certain blog (Polish one) when a girl gives some short info about Till in general. She seems to be the one of the few, who took some "trouble" to look up those valid sources and she wrote there about Till's grief after his Dad's death. Then a german speaking dude, dunno whether it was a male or female, chimed in and told her to change the text bc "Till hated his Dad and felt very relieved after he was gone" Just... (bangs her head against the desk). You're right guys. No matter how hard I try, there will be STILL some stubborn individuals who turn a blind eye on facts and live on with their fantasies. I cannot help it, it's just making me.. sad. But I quickly interferred and somehow told him/her off and told the author of the text to leave it as it is.
Already mentioned about it bf: People like to intermingle facts with their own fantasies, it could also be some psychological (Freud?) stuff: "My father was a total a***, Till must have suffered exactly the same". And they want to paint him as a tragical hero, who detested his parent and suffered terrible injustice at his hands. Oh well . Keep dreaming in your little dream word, then

^People just can't stand that in reality things turned out way less spectacular than it could have. All the ingredients were present to make Till a tormented and maybe agressive, violent, father-hating rebel and that sounds so interesting people just want to believe it.

i think the fact that Till is the opposite of the way he is on stage, makes him more interesting, some what hotter.
nothing more hotter than a bad boy who cares for their fam or love ones.
And when i read that article by Gitta Lindemann, it changes my point of view about him. Made me respect him even more.

Paperdaysz, you're right! There is something about it indeed, <3  The very thought about his close relation with his Mom makes me feel warm inside. And the way he took care of his Granny is just... I had tears in my eyes.

And Waidmann, by all means. I guess people always loved makings things up, putting some more "drama" in it, so it "sells" better. Bet some of them felt "dissapointed" when discovering true facts, because it doesn't fit their fantasies anymore.

I also wonder what Till's facial expression was when he used to read this gossiptrash.

Just a thought...Do you think that there is a metaphor in Engel having to do with fame and success? The angels (elevated ones) love humans but they can't touch them. But they can't go to heaven either (true happiness in not having to depend on others for your joy). I guess another way of explaining it would be that they get joy from making us fans happy and trying to connect with us, but they are put so high up on a pedestal that people gossip and make up the mythology, so they are never really appreciated as themselves. They are just kinda stuck there in the middle....i don't know, make fun if you want but that's my two cents for today. :P

Why should anyone make fun of you, Fellfrosch? That's a very interesting, thoughtful interpretation, I've never thought of that before! Till himself said that he wanted to leave his songs open to various interpretations. And you know what came in to my mind after I'd read your post? Till once said: "Some people regard me as a devil, some as god - but I would appreciate if they just saw me as a human" I paraphrase, but it was something among these lines!
Oh also wanted to add up: Those times, when Till could not sing and had to reschedule a concert (2009) or an autograph signing session (2003) because he was down with fever and cold and lots of fans would whine like a baby. "What the..!" "That sucks..."! "No way, I want to see him now, I've been waiting so frigging long!" instead of "It's allright chum, pack yourself to bed and get some rest and get well!" Come on, guys?! Where's the empathy?! He's a HUMAN not a machine! He has the right to fell ill every once in a while! And what also makes me extremely irritated, that people believe Till is the every person he sings about and all these dark themes are the product of his "unhappy childhood" Jesus Christ, will they stop it!>.<
BTW I sometimes wonder if such songs like "Nebel" (just my thought, don't kill me!) may say sth about Gitta witnessing Werner's death and her mourn. Just a thought! But Hmm... it's been nagging me.

I love the paraphrase. So it does kind of make sense then, I'm glad. I think I've said it elsewhere, but if Till retired now, I'd have to say that kinda sucks, but thank you so much, and enjoy! He deserves to spend all the time he wants with his family and travel and enjoy the money he's worked for, just like the rest of us. And that's definitely a good point to make with Nebel! Also something comes to mind from Messer, the title of the poem eludes me, about a grandmother dying. The imagery was a tad disturbing but I know better than to take his words literally.

I'm in, I'm in! I bet it's gonna be somewhere in the nature. Till loves nature - he said in SZ MAgazine, that whenever the town makes him feel down'n blue he sets off to the village, where his Mutti lives and relaxes with the rest of family members and friends. Too bad his Granny and Dad are dead and cannot join them

I can see us, sitting on a dock on some bleak but magnificent German lake, sipping on Riesling and him telling me his life story. Or at least that's how it is in this girls dreams

It's not "his" song, Engel is written by Kruspe . But we sure get your point and I surely like the interpretation, Fellfrosh! Thx for sharing.
